April 19, 2017 me and my best travel buddies, Sheila and Camille went to Olongapo, Zambales City. We just planned this for two days and I never thought that it will be a successful trip for us.

So we went to Samba Bluewater Resort, the weather is so hot because its summer. We really want to try the new Asias’s Biggest Floating Playground: Inflatable Island in Subic, Philippines. Inflatable Island PH is the first of its kind floating theme park set above the open sea in Subic Beach, just a short 3-hour drive from Manila. A beach + water theme park combined into one awesome adventure playground. The inflatable playground has tons of fun activities to offer and is home to a bunch of obstacles like the slippery slides, Tarzan Swing, Shaky Bridges and a one big bouncy trampoline. They even have big trampoline right smack in the center for those insanely fun jumps. This place is like “The ultimate playground” that we’ve always dreamed of when we were still young, and now it’s just a drive away from Manila and perfectly timed for summer.

I’m still laughing because of all our epic moments while playing inside the floating playground. We are falling, slipping, and being off-balanced and the hardest part is going back to the inflatable because it’s slippery. To have the best experience inside, set aside your fear and poise and just unleash the kid inside. Our inner kid-playful-side came out, we are like 8 years old kids playing in the playground without any stress and problems thinking. We all need a quick getaway once in a while to let go and just feel carefree. We were care less about how we look, and continued the obstacles ahead. Inflatable Island is a place where you just enjoy and make new friends. We challenged one another to finish all the course of the first half together. Our strength and energy were shown haha!

There are 15 lifeguards to help whenever needed—especially when getting back on the playground when you fall down to the water or slipped off. They will assist you with the obstacles and help you get back to the island when you fall down of the ocean. They are really approachable and easy going people. We didn’t finish the other half course of the playground but it was so fun and tiring at the same time. Even though it was so hot, we really enjoyed every minute of trying and strategizing on how we can finish the obstacles. The playground has a lot of obstacles where you can challenge your friends or yourself with. It is a test of balance and strength.

| BALI LOUNGE

Inflatable Island has a Bali-Inspired Lounge that’s perfect for when you’re hungry, tired, and for when you just want to relax and enjoy the beach vibes. After we finished the first half of the course in the playground, we rest at the Bali Lounge to take a break from all that jumping and swimming. It adds more good vibes because of the good music coming from the big speaker of the resort. Good thing, Inflatable Island has the best chilling spots, they have this comfortable bean bags, it is so soft and big enough for me, we rested and sleep for awhile. If you want to have a tan skin, you can go soak yourself in the sun in the cute Instagrammable floaties. The struggles is real because it is so hard to get over the floaties so it takes time and effort to capture a good picture.

The Instagram-worthy view is so worthy and unforgettable. This place is also good for photo shoots, I love posing for a pictures (because I want to be a model someday lol). Looking at the sea, the waves that flows to the sand, the wind that runs through my hair, it helped me to unwind and have own free time for myself and of course with my friends. We are very free from the polluted place in the Manila, the resort surrounds with mountains and trees and from afar there is a volcano. I was so shocked because the volcano released lava from it. The most beautiful scene I’ve ever seen is sunset. The warmth colors around the sky that matches with the ocean that looks like we are in a movie. We’ve watched the sun setting down, my heart thumped seeing this beautiful sky. It made our trip extra special.

I was so shocked because the volcano released lava from it. The most beautiful scene I’ve ever seen is sunset. The warmth colours around the sky that matches with the ocean that looks like we are in a movie. We’ve watched the sun setting down, my heart thumped seeing this beautiful sky. It made our trip extra special.

This is why Inflatable Island is the perfect summer destination to bring your friends and family to! Eventually, you’ll get tired or your time ran out and it’s time to step out of the playground. This what real paradise is.

The foods that makes my day extra and my go-to food trip whenever I feel down, or in a budget, and craving on it. So here are my list of the Top 5 best foods that I can’t live without!

1. Korean Bbq

The best Unli Korean bbq I’ve ever have is in Samgyupsalamat located in Malate Mabini BranchMabini St. Cor. Padre Faura St. Malate, Manila. Samgyupsal is often referred as the Korean bacon. They offer unlimited Samgyupsal including rice and side dishes. I like the price range of their buffet because the foods are worth the price. They offer Unlimited 1 for 449 php/head (5 Kinds of Pork) and Unlimited 2 for 499 php/head (9 Kinds of Beef & Pork).

We ordered Unlimited 1 (because my cousins don’t like beef that night). Their food was awesome ('cause I love to eat). Servings were good for 2-3 persons. And they asked us also to choose what meat we want to be served first. The meat was cut so thinly that it rolled up like bacon when we started grilling it. It was yummy, and dipped in my favorite gochujang, we had no trouble finishing our first plate.The meat and pork is very fresh and when you cooked it, yes you’re the one who will cook your own meat and pork, it is very juicy and tender. The pinkish fresh look of pork and meat turns into a golden brown color that definitely looks satisfying. I am really a K-pop and K drama addict and I really want to try the Korean cuisine. I’ve learned how to eat this Korean foods, It was my pleasure to show Sheila how to wrap the meat and pork in lettuce and mix it with other side dishes. Their Side dishes includes a generous serving of lettuce, miso soup for each of us, rice, diced sweet potato, steamed egg, shredded raddish, kimchi and spicy seaweed but I was really looking forward to their Tteokbokki (a hot and spicy rice cake) and fish cakes. We almost had around 5 or 8 plates of meat and pork. It was really worth it. It took us 2 hours eating and chit chatting, it was a very fun and special because it was my birthday. We were totally satisfied and planning to come back and dig in again.

2. Beef Noodle Pho

If you want something lightweight and easy to eat food, you can go to O Banh Mi located SM Fairview 2nd Floor near Forever 21. The noodle is very different than the usual noodle that we have here in the Philippines. They added lemon grass and a big portion of beef on it. The broth is not bland, I almost drink the broth like a beverage. This is really good especially when you feel cold, headache and if you want to relax your body and mind. The lemon grass really helps the noodle to spice it up and the beef is not that dry and it is very soft and easy to chew. The beef slices were tender and plentiful, the noodles are chewy and springy.

3. S&R Pizza + Chicken + Unli Drinks

Fact#1: I love Pizza especially the Crust part.

Fact#3: I hate Cheese BUT!!

My JHS friends invited me, We’ve ordered Cheese Pizza and Combo Pizza. At first I don’t want to try the Cheese Pizza but there is the other part of me that tempts me to get a slice. I tried the Cheese Pizza and surprisingly the crust is perfect and you know what? The cheese is pleasantly sweet and gloriously gooey. I never thought I could finish that long slice and I grabbed another slice of it. I enjoyed having this with hot sauce (Fact#4: I love spicy foods) they go really well together. The combo pizza is similar to the calzone vegetable in that it has vegetables but it is also loaded with more cheese. Unlike the pepperoni, cheese or garlic and shrimp pizzas, the combo pizza has 2 layers of cheese: one on top of the tomato base and then another layer covering the vegetables. I love how those ingredients complements and added more taste, it is not that oily and salty, they didn’t skimp on the ingredient It matches well with the unlimited access to any drink from their vending machines. Different Coca-Cola sodas and juices are available.

Another must-try food in S&R is their Southern Style Fried Chicken, it is soft and juicy on the inside, and very crunchy on the outside! To top it off, it’s paired with their signature black pepper gravy and also there is unli gravy. If you’re hungry just like I was, you can always have both pizza and chicken plus Unli Drinks, At the same time!

4. Coffee Float + Sweet Soy Chicken Fillet McDo

You like the easy-to-look-for-food then this what I love to recommend and show you friends. I am a Coffee lover, it helps me to relax and energize at the same time. You cant taste the bitter taste of the coffee because of the vanilla ice cream and of course the chocolate syrup which complements well with the bitter taste because of the sweetness of the two. The Chicken fillet creation tastes a little sourer and spicy thanks to the hefty amount of black pepper they added to the sauce. I love how thick and soft the chicken fillet is. It works well with the sweet-spicy kind of taste of the sauce. I also add the sauce in my rice because it also tastes good together with the Chicken Fillet. McDo’s Sweet Soy Chicken Fillet with rice is priced at P55 for the solo, P62 for the one with rice and a regular drink, and P92 for the Sweet Soy Chicken Fillet with rice and regular fries and drink. Add P5 to upgrade your plain rice to garlic rice.

5. Lasagna

My most favorite Pasta of all time, Lasagna ala Pizza Hut. It is very affordable and they are really generous in giving that much of tomato-like-mixture sauce. The Plating is very appealing and presentable. It tastes like a home cooked spaghetti but this one, the tomato sauce is different. It is much sweeter than the home cooked that I am eating. Overall the lasagna is good especially when they gave us a mushroom soup. The Mushroom Soup is creamy and there is tofu and mushroom inside it.

This is my TOP 5 BEST FOODS I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT!

The Aling Toyang's Karinderya is one of the best eatery in Antipolo, in a good and affordable price. Karinderya may sounds like a eatery that serves only easy to cook foods but in this Karinderya there are traditional foods that you can only eat here in the Philippines.

We ordered Sisig, Tahong with cheese and Barbeque for our lunch. The Sisig have a lots of variants not only the pork itself but also some vegetables. It is very juicy especially the pork, good portions with plenty of flavours.

My most favorite is the Tahong with cheese, I really hate eating cheese or having cheese in my food. But when I gave it a try, I was so overwhelmed with the taste, I never thought that Tahong and cheese is a good combination, You can still taste the Freshly cooked tahong but the cheese adds more flavor which balances the salt like taste of the tahong. Next is the barbeque, I like how big and tender the pork. Of course some people also loves the fat part in it.

Another is their Unli Soup which I really love because there is a little spice in it but it is better to put it in a rice and of course to match it with pork sisig. It gives warm that runs down to your stomach. The Aling Toyang's Karinderya have seafoods and street foods like Isaw, Betamax, Hipon, Dinuguan, Liempo, Sinigang na baboy and many more.

Ramen has been attracting a huge amount of attention in the worldwide restaurant scene as a representative example of Japanese cuisine. Ramen Kuroda is known for their home-made noodles, soup, drinks and of course one of my favorites which is the bento set. So me and my mom went to one of their branches located in Sm Fairview, The staffs are really approachable and jolly they greeted us and they gave us seats. It is my first time eating a Japanese Cuisine, We’ve ordered a Bento-set which includes a Kani Salad, Ebi Tempura, Teriyaki Salmon, Tsukemono, Rice and Half ramen (you can choose the one of three ramen) and for our drinks we tried their Watermelon Shake which is P80. The staff told us to wait for 15 mins.

But I was surprised that their serving is speedy. We first tried their watermelon shake and it is is really fresh and there are no added preservatives. The Bento-set was nice, the plating and the serving. I love the juicy part and the softness of the teriyaki salmon, while the tempura have a good combination with their sauce, it adds more flavor on it. It is best to pair with their rice. The Half ramen tastes like a porridge but in a noodle style, it feels relaxing sipping the broth.

In addition they also have salad that looks fresh and fruits for their appetizer. Lastly, the price is very affordable enough to enjoy every day with just P500 pesos you already have a Bento-set where you can share with a friend plus a list of drinks not over P100.
