Tianzi introduces this drama with Kaguya, C.C., Rakshata, Chiba and Xianglin, asking excitely if that is indeed what they call a pajama party. As Kaguya says it is, Tianzi begins to wonder what they should do while Rakshata replies that they should obviously do girl talk. As Tianzi is still too young to understand what they mean, they explain to her it's all about boys. With that in her mind now, Tianzi decides to ask everyone who they like. Kaguya responds first with Zero, but then Rakshata mentions that its good that the six guys from the Black Knights (Ohgi, Minami, Tamaki, Diethard, Sugiyama and Asahina) aren't here. C.C. comments that they all act like kids. Since mentioning the six of them, they start to talk about the each of them. Chiba comments that Ohgi is a nice guy, but just a nice guy. C.C. comments on Tamaki, calling him crude. Rakshata comments on Minami, calling him a lolicon. Chiba comments on Diethard, calling him a tricky, sly person as well as Sugiyama, who is described as a skirt chaser. Xianglin asks about Asahina and then Kaguya questions if she liked him, as she would gladly help. But, Xianglin refutes, stating that she likes someone else. C.C. starts to discuss about Asahina but is interrupted by Chiba stating she doesn't want anyone to spread bad rumors about her comrades. C.C. then decides to change the subject to Tohdoh leading Chiba to get flustered. Chiba states that her feelings for Tohdoh are only a rumor, but Kaguya states that the only person in the Black Knights who doesn't know is Tohdoh himself.
Tumblr media
Then, all of the girls begin to tease Chiba about it before Tianzi mentions that she should value him and everyone starts to laugh. After that they go on talking about how insightful the women are and how they can teach each other. Rakshata tells Tianzi that she hopes Tianzi doesn't get caught by some weirdo. Tianzi says the forbidden city "has the walls of a battleship", to which Rakshata says, "No, no, I'm talking about the dork you end up liking." Rakshata asks if she can tell her something and Tianzi moves closer to hear what she has to say before having a surprised reaction. Xianglin tells Rakshata to make sure what she is telling to Tianzi is appropriate when Xingke announces he has arrived in order to tell Tianzi something important. He walks in and Tianzi explains to him that they are having a pajama party and are talking about love. She also mentions that she learned a lot from the girls and wants to tell him something too. After hearing what she said, he tells her that it was a complete lie. Tianzi is confused as Xingke unsheath his sword. Xianglin tries to stop him, but Xingke orders her to step aside for he plans to kill those who dared to corrupt his Empress's mind. Kaguya quickly lead Tianzi out as Xingke attacks the remaining females, with Xianglin trying to restrain him. Rakshata makes one final comment, "Oh my, that's the dork himself."

It begins with Rolo in deep thought thinking about Lelouch. He remembers the first time they met. It was one of his many assignments, but in this case, it was a unique one. As Lelouch had his memories rewritten by the Emperor's Geass, Rolo had to play the role of his brother for surveillance. It then moves to a flashback of the first meeting between the two. Lelouch greets Rolo from his supposed return from the homeland due to their parents wanting to see him. As he asks him if their parents are doing well, Rolo replies they are and that they told him that as are siblings, Lelouch and him need to get along. Lelouch responds with stating that he can't believe they would say that as he has always considered them a family. It returns to Rolo thinking himself about family as he has never known or experienced what it meant to have a family. However, he does know that bonds makes a family stick together and trust each other. Another flashback occurs to Rolo's birthday. Lelouch wishes him a happy birthday and gives him the locket as a present. Rolo thanks him for the gift and Lelouch mentions how it looks a bit girly. However, Rolo reassures him that it is great and he will treasure it. Rolo thinks about how Lelouch never showed his true self even to friends as he always wears a "mask" to cover it. However, family is the one thing to which Lelouch can reveal his true smile. It moves to Rolo's next memory of a conversation between him and Lelouch. Rolo tells Lelouch that he has become a model for the photography club because of Milly. Lelouch mentions that he won't get out of it because of her adamant behavior and determination. He then thinks that Rolo's hair might be too long for a model and tells him that he will cut it.
Tumblr media
Rolo remembers in the data files that Lelouch has been good at cutting hair since he would always cut Nunnally's hair during their stay at the Kururugi Shrine. As Lelouch is cutting Rolo's hair, he states that his hair is different from his and must have gotten it from their parents. Rolo on the other hand is deep in thought, noticing that Lelouch is cutting his hair with passion and kindness. But, he knew that those feelings weren't for him, but for Lelouch's real sister Nunnally; However, he did not want to let go as Lelouch was the first person he considered as his family. Back to present, we get back to the moment Rolo just saved Lelouch from the betrayal of the Black Knights by using the Shinkirō to escape. In his dying moments, he wonders if Lelouch will remember him and states that he will remember those times and memories that they both shared together as family and will treasure it forever.

Before the Zero Requiem, C.C. and Cecile are talking about Lelouch and Suzaku who are still talking elsewhere about their plans, before the next day, where they'll be off to Japan where Lelouch will try to join the UFN. As Cecile wonders if it will work, C.C. notices it looks like she doesn't want it to. Cecile then asks C.C. if she could join her for a drink. C.C. accept, as they are friends, to which Cecile bounce back to it. As they talk, C.C. asks Cecile on why she is helping both Suzaku and Lelouch. Cecile replies that she was in a similar situation a few years before, as she tried to stop a man from doing something, going as far as yelling and crying but it didn't stopped him. She further explains that with her own experience that all men are stubborn once they have decided on something and that those she fall for all have something more important than her. She thinks she could do something if it was another women but that's not it; She doesn't care much about the fate of the world and muses about Suzaku, to which C.C. asks her is she loves him. Cecile things it depends on her definition of love; She then asks C.C. the same question about Lelouch, to which C.C. can't quite answer, she says she can't summarize it with a word, as she wouldn't be there if that was the case. Cecile thinks that must be harder for her, to which C.C. says that's perhaps the case but that's why she can't stop him; They then agree that they have already began their run and they can only watch and follow them.
Tumblr media
Jeremiah and Lloyd eventually appears prompting the two ladies to invite them to their drinking party. C.C. questions the both of them if they are preparing for their departure. Jeremiah replies that they are reminiscing on their past and everything that he has endured was for the sake of the Zero Requiem. And for this, Jeremiah proposes a toast to his king, Lelouch. Cecile toasts to his honorable knight, Suzaku. However, as he wasn't able to think of anything, Lloyd eventually toasts to his masterpiece, the Lancelot Albion. C.C. concludes with a toast for the Zero Requiem. Afterwards, Lelouch and Suzaku finish their preparations and meet with the four, confirming the plan hasn't changed and that they are indeed ready to go to Japan.

The remaining Student Council members gather at a rebuilt Ashford Academy after the events of the series. Ashford Academy has been rebuilt exactly the way it used to be because of Milly's grandfather. As their conversation goes, Milly remarks that Kallen is no longer pretending to act frail, to which Kallen joyfully agrees, as Gino doesn't understand and question, before being shut down by Nina for being too intruding to a young girl's secret. Rivalz states that Nina has changed as well. Kallen, on her side, thinks men on the contrary, don't change enough, to which Gino reacts in bemusment; Kallen then uses the example of a text he sent her someday where he still sounded like a noble; Gino says that he doesn't write as a noble but as man. Meanwhile Villetta is watching over them through a window, smiling as she thinks they haven't changed; As she sounds nostalgic, Sayoko, who learnt she was visiting, asks her why she wouldn't become a teacher again. Viletta thinks it might fit her better than being a first lady, since Oghi is now prime minister; Sayoko then tells her about how the tree where they confessed their love has now become legendary, to Villetta's embarrasment as she didn't know anyone else knew. Sayoko reminds her she is from the Shinozaki clan.... Meanwhile Gino and Kallen wants to set out their quarrel with a Knightmare fight when they are interrupted by Milly who orders them to stop as the Student Council President while Rivalz tries to remind everyone that he is now the current president. Nina is shocked to learn he is, Kallen concludes that by process of elimination it makes sense and Gino laugh about how it doesn't fit him, to which a soft voice disagrees with him.
Tumblr media
Nunnally has arrived with Zero and she thinks Rivalz's student council will be fun. Everyone welcome happily Nunnally, to Gino's surprise who didn't know they knew Nunnally; Nunnally says they were in the same student council and Nina implies she had Jeremiah cancealing the emperor geass from them, even though Gino doesn't understand anything. Kallen says she can't explain in detail but things have gotten back as they should be, while Nunnally agrees but mentions that some things can't ever get back, as Milly and Nina agrees and Kallen sadly says that some things will indeed never be the same. After that, Fireworks are shot by Jeremiah, with the assistance of Anya, as it was seemingly an order from Lelouch. Jeremiah asks Anya if she wouldn't rather be with the other student but she states that as long as she has her memories she will be fine. As everyone watches the fireworks, Milly and Rivalz speaks about Lelouch's promise of watching them all together, allowing Nunally and Kallen to learn about it; Milly has a thought for Shirley and Rolo as well, and they enjoy the sparks of the fireworks instead of the battlefield for a change. As Nunnally takes Zero's hands, Suzaku begins to wonder if Lelouch is also watching the fireworks on his side. He ponders about how Lelouch lied again about those, since they didn't light them up together. But, since Nunally and Kallen are smiling, as well as everyone else, thanks to the tomorrow he gave them...
That's about it for Code Geass R2 picture drama; Hope you enjoyed.

Code Geass Complete Best Regret Message // Suzaku & C.C. // Canon
To know more about the Regret message, check the first post about those right here
Tumblr media
Suzaku Kururugi - World End // Opening 5
The Emperor intended to end the world through supernatural powers. It is ironic that we, who stopped him, let the world end in another form.
Lelouch, can you hear me in the World of C?
A new world rises from the ruins of the world we destroyed. (1) The stagnant world comes to a stop, and here is the world that continues to change. The world we obtained at the cost of our lives.
It’s a mystery. I myself have become a villain to bring about peace. I did it for Japan’s sake. Protecting Nunnally. That is something you would do.
It’s a strange thing. If there were no lies between us from the first moment up to the last, our days at school would have been the happiest.
I can no longer cry, no longer laugh and yet, I think that the time will come when nobody will quarrel nor will they cry and scream. But it’s not that simple. (2) Somewhere, someone is lamenting, no doubt. Because of that, the conflicts will continue.
I think it’s fine like that. To want to stop the crying. For that sake, you fight, that is, for a gentle world.(3) And because you are crude, you call it a “Rebellion”.
Lelouch, do the winds from the ever changing world reach you too?
(1) The exact Japanese line is: From the ruins of the world we destroyed, a new world is born. (2) The exact line in Japanese says something like, ‘It won’t do’ or 'It cannot be so’. (3) Exact line: For that sake, you fight. That is, a gentle world.)
Translation by Blottyparchment.
Tumblr media
C.C. - Waga Routashi Aku no Hana (My Beautifully Elegant Flower of Evil) // Ending 4
From the entire beginning, I should have warned you. That the power of the king would isolate you. You will lose your friends, become different from your childhood friend, and you will be betrayed by your subordinates.
Your parents will vanish from your sight, your siblings will disappear like dew.
Yes, it’s terribly burdensome. And pitiful.
Now, your sole companion is solitude. There is nobody who will embrace you, who has been smeared in blood. Rocks have been pelted at you by many, and as retribution, you trampled over them. At that time, nobody noticed that the shriek that was secretly welling up inside your heart.
Yes, it’s pitiful. Seeing that visage, my wounds often throbbed. Now, I think you to be dear because you are miserable. As the pain kept stabbing your tender heart, why does this feeling of solitude gradually heal?
The whole world is pelting rocks at you, showering you with insults. That is something the I have experienced from this world.
Without realizing, you have shared me in my solitude. Without knowing, you shouldered my sins.
It’s as if you are a poisonous amaryllis blooming from the ground. Only I know of its elegance.
Translation by Blottyparchment.
Hope you enjoyed.

Code Geass Complete Best Regret Message // Nunnally & Kallen // Canon
The Complete Best Regret messages, also known as character poems, are message left from various characters to Lelouch, after his death through Zero Requiem. Those are available within the Complete Best OST Which gathers some of the best OST of the show.
Tumblr media
They offer us a nice last view of their thoughts and feelings directed to Lelouch, after his tragic end. Each of the letter are written and illustrated with a rough sketch of the character in their predominant color, and the first page of the booklet is a very nice sketch of Lelouch.
Tumblr media
Each of the message have a title taken after a Code Geass opening or ending, Let's start with Nunnally.
Tumblr media
Nunnally Lamperouge / vi Britannia - Mozaiku Kakera (Mosaic Shards) // Ending 2
I have been thinking about the many things that you have given me.
They can’t be counted on my fingers, for each and every one that I count, a stone is left. Lining them up, the stones can be pieced together into a mosaic. But, I will not do that. I don’t want to. (1) I will continue to count them piece by piece, always remembering their shape, their color and their touch. (2)
Even these dreams, that kindness, our rendezvous, those lies, mistakes…. Even that voice, the warmth in those hands that grasped mine, even the loneliness, the twistedness, the pain in my chest. Even that silence. Even those eyes.
Everything, I will hold dear.
Even if you had not given me many things, I could not give you anything in return. You gave me everything and you ended up leaving.
In those happy days, we did not even say “Thank you” nor “I’m sorry” between us. Those words would only invoke sadness. Your heart would grow far away. Just like that, you were myself, and I was you.
However, that day, the words you have told me still remains in my ears. You didn’t even let me reply. That’s why, while hearing your voice ringing in my ear, I will answer you from the bottom of my heart.
I love you too. (3)
(1) Lit.: I do not want to bring them (stones) together. (2) Lit.: One by one, I will continue to count them; their shape, color, and touch, I will continue to feel throughout. (1) Broken up into two sentences in the original Japanese: Aishiteru. Anata wo. (I love. You.) Translation by Blottyparchment.
Tumblr media
Kallen Kozuki / Stadtfeld - Yuukyou Seishunka (Extolling the Brave Chivalry of Youth) // Ending 1
Until I met you, I was only merely plastered with thorns. I wanted to change this truth. I seethingly and recklessly acted. But then, I didn’t believe that anything would come out of it.
When my brother was gone, I heard the sound of the heavy doors closing behind me. I cannot allow it. I will fight to the bitter end. I decided that I would not go back. Then, someday, I would have died like my brother.
Until the very end, Kouzuki Kallen would not abide by authority. That bit of willpower I was carrying with me, it slipped away from me, and I can feel it faintly. At that moment, I envisioned you as the star at the break of dawn, inviting me.
If I would think that this is for you, my body would feel light. Whatever struggles there were, the pain would go away. I would be the first to come rushing to your battlefield, raging like a lioness, crushing your enemies. I would stand being muddied so that I could create a path for you.
Looking back, it’s mysterious. Even though I should have loathed and rebelled against Britannia’s tyranny. Without knowing it, I held personal devotion only for you.
Lelouch, that parting kiss, even if it was a lie, if you had said, “I love you,” (1)(2) I would even follow you to hell. You knew that, didn’t you?
It’s not like you. You’re good at manipulating people just by your words. Really, it’s not like you to be kind. Is that why you told me to 'live on’? I fell in love with you (3) not just because of that kindness.
(1) Kallen uses the word 'aishiteru' here. It is a word that carries strong weight in Japanese and is not simply used to express love. You may say 'suki' and mean love, but 'aishiteru' is used between two intimate lovers, and within the show, only between Lelouch and Nunnally. (2) In japanese you emphasize on the end of a line; the "Even if it was a lie" is there to show how great her love for him was, the "wakatteta deshou" means Kallen was quite sure the "Aishiteru" would have come, had he not been kind with her. (3)The love here is 'suki ni naru' Translation by Blottyparchment & Lie
Hope you enjoyed.

Code Geass Season 1 DVD Magazine 2 : Best phrase award (Stage 14 ~25) Crack / Not Canon
The best phrase award videos are specials from the Code Geass dvd, with the best voted scene/lines of the show being commented by some of the cast; While it's obviously very crackish since the characters break the 4th wall, it's still very good fun and it even allowed us to learn what was the full line of Stage 14 infamous Lelouch dialogue to Shirley, while he was erasing her memories, since it's mentionned twice in there, as a fact, not as speculation. So some good Shirley/Lelouch food I guess, and some good crack for those who are fond of this kind of content. This post is about best scenes from Stage 14 to 25.
youtube
DVD Magazine II: Best Phrase Award (Stage 14 ~ 25)
Milly and Shirley introduce the corner; Shirley: "This is also where we bully Lelouch!". They then introduce themselves:
Omniscient Other-dimension Milly Ashford ("In other words, I am... God!") Omniscient Other-dimension Shirley Fenette ("If you're a God, then I'm an... Angel!")
Lelouch makes his dramatic appearance here: And I'm the protagoni--
Shirley: SHIRLEY PUNCH!!!
(Lelouch goes flying.)
Shirley: I get really annoyed when I'm not the one in the spotlight.
Milly: (to Lelouch) "We'll call for you later, so wait patiently, you."
******************
10. [Cornelia] With that you are now a Knight, in name and in fact. Go, Kururugi Suzaku!
Tumblr media
Milly gushes over Cornelia (she's apparently a huge fan of Cornelia and her No-Nonsense personality); Shirley then says, a little too innocently:
"So I guess Nina goes for Euphie, and Kaichou's all for Cornelia."
Milly: (sweatdrop) No no no, it's just that I find it really MOERU, this scene of Cornelia finally acknowledging and entrusting her hopes to Suzaku, who she once considered an enemy. Oh, I meant the hot-blooded kind of Moe, by the way.
Shirley: Actually, I think Cornelia, for all her hostility, was one of the first characters to acknowledge Suzaku.
Milly: (surprised) Really?
Shirley: Apparently Cornelia ordered Suzaku to execute Toudou because she thought it would be an achievement no one would dare cast doubt on. She did it for his sake.
Milly: (sigh) I don't think any normal person would do that "for someone's sake".
*******************
9. [Chigusa] I... I don't mind being an Eleven..
Tumblr media
Shirley and Milly both sigh wistfully at this little, quiet love blooming against a backdrop of war and death.
Milly: Though I'll admit I was surprised: does losing one's memory result in such a drastic change of personality?
Shirley: I think Villetta had this side to her all along, actually.
Milly: (grin) I see. And then we have a certain someone whose personality stays exactly the same even with her memory gone.
Shirley: (pout) Are you talking about me!?
Milly, without missing a beat, changes the subject--
8. [Shirley] The morning will come. [...] Well, there are a lot of sad things you can't just forget, but... But the morning will come, right?
Tumblr media
Milly: The morning will come... what a lovely line! Shirley was trying to cheer Lelouch up here, you know, even though she was still grieving over the loss of her father and all.
Shirley: (a little lacking in humility) Yes, that's right. I've never seen anyone's daughter turn out so strong and fine! I can totally understand why Lelouch would say something like, "If there's a next life for the both of us, let us be lovers.".
[***note: This is the first official? confirmation of what Lelouch was trying to say there, AFAIK]
Milly: (grin) Well, talk is free, after all, as I'm sure Lelouch knows very well.
Shirley: (annoyed) Would you like a Shirley Punch too, Kaichou?
Milly quickly turns her "offer" down...
*********************
7. [Schneizel] It's true. Nary a flower nor butterfly flitting in a ball shine brighter than you do on the battlefield. Yes, you're just like The Flash.
Tumblr media
Shirley: I'm surprised Schneizel managed to say something like that with a completely straight face.
Milly: He's a... "People-Killer". (*note: as opposed to "Lady-killer")
Shirley: (surprised) People-Killer?
Milly: He's the sort of person who knows what someone wants to be told, deep down, and he tells them exactly that. For example, Cornelia, who deeply admired Marianne the Flash, was told "You're just like the Flash herself."
Shirley: (sweatdrop) When you put it like that, his motives don't sound all that... pure.
Milly: And that's how both Cecile-san and General Bartley fell prey to his charms.
Shirley: General Bartley, too...?
Milly: To all the li'l kittens in front of the screen -- be careful of men like him!
Shirley: And now let's call on our first guest...
*********************
6. [Kallen] LIKE HELL I'D DO IT!!!! [...] Hmph! The only person capable of ordering me around is Zero, and him alone.
Tumblr media
Kallen: LIKE HELL I'D DO IT!!!! (sigh) ...Hello. Kouzuki Kallen -- Japanese -- here.
Milly: (sweatdrop) Wow, that's some point she's making there. Not to mention she's in a real sulk right now...
Shirley: We've never seen this Sulky side of Kallen, have we?
Frail Kallen: Um, could you please refrain from using the word "Sulky"?
Milly: (grin) SO! How is it? How do you feel about Zero -- the only person allowed to order you around -- turning out to be Lelouch himself?
Frail Kallen: (sigh) I... really don't want to acknowledge this as fact.
Shirley: Was it totally unexpected for you?
Kallen: (explodes) WELL YEAH, OBVIOUSLY! Lelouch's just a bratty no-gooder, all talk and nothing else!
Milly: Completely different from the Zero you admired, huh.
Shirley: So... what are you going to do when Lelouch orders you around in the future?
Kallen: (sigh) ...That would be... a problem, yes...
Milly: (surprised) I thought you might like Lelouch better now.
Kallen: Oh, I wonder about that! Or rather, can we pretend all that never happened? Who should I ask? The Director!? The scriptwriters!?
Milly: (sweatdrop) Um... I think that's probably impossible now.
Kallen: (sigh) What'll become of us in the sequel...?
***********************
5. [Zero] Goodbye, Euphie. You were perhaps... my first love...
Tumblr media
youtube
4. [C.C.] It's fine...! ...No, I suppose I am a little worried. Win, Lelouch. Win against your past, and the consequences of your actions.
Tumblr media
Shirley calls on their second guest...
Lelouch: Lelouch Lamperouge.
Kallen: (softly, to herself; but with clear distaste) Ugh, he's here.
Lelouch begins to complain about the show: the long wait-time, the lack of hairstylists and make-up artists, getting Shirley Punch'd, etc. etc..
Shirley ignores him, and continues on: "Lelouch's Women Problems, No. 5 and No. 4, revealed." (annoyed, sulky look)
Milly and Kallen: (simultaneous evil grins)
Lelouch: That's an invasion of privacy.
Milly: Still, you can't possibly deny that you've been behaving like a total playboy, especially when compared to Suzaku and Rivalz.
Kallen: (obnoxious smirk) Hmm~m? So Lelouch liked the pink princess, eh?
Shirley: (annoyed) And he fed me that line about reincarnation and becoming lovers and stuff in Narita, too!
Milly: And after that he kissed C.C.-san!
Kallen: (obnoxious smirk) Just what is going on with you?
Lelouch: What is going on here, is what I'd like to know. What is this, some kind of class reunion!?
Frail Kallen: Please reflect on your actions, Lelouch-kun~
Lelouch: ...Is no one planning on asking relevant questions about my Best Phrase?
Milly: Hey hey -- so what was it about Euphemia-sama that you loved?
Lelouch: (>__<) Learn to be more subtle with your questions!
Milly: (whine) I want to know! This episode was really depressing, you know.
Lelouch: It can't be helped!
Shirley: (annoyed) "It can't be helped"? That's all you have to say about your actions!?
Lelouch: (>__<) No, I didn't mean it that way!
Kallen: (sigh) ...I ...think I've been seriously let down...
Lelouch: (SHOCK)
Frail Kallen: (in a sort of depressed, guess-it-can't-be-helped voice) Sorry, you'll have to excuse me... (leaves)
Milly: ...Wow, she really is depressed about this.
******************
3. [Orange] Good Morning'd.
Lelouch: (SHOCK)
Milly and Shirley start fangirling over "Orange-san".
Shirley: (fangirl-mode) I love the way he says it... so sexy!
Lelouch: (annoyed) This... qualifies as a Famous Quote? It is clearly grammatically unsound.
Milly: But it's funny, isn't it?
Lelouch: (annoyed) So you only criterion for this is... how "funny" it is?
Shirley: Yep!
Lelouch: ...Are you saying I should be funny, too?
Milly: Nah, it's alright -- you're funny enough as is.
Lelouch: (SHOCK)
Shirley: Hey Lelou, why did Orange-san turn out that way, anyway?
Lelouch: He was experimented on by Bartley.
Shirley: What kind of experiment?
Lelouch: Bartley was the person who used C.C. as a guinea pig. Upon Orange's awakening, the data for "Code-R" can be seen on the monitor screen. ...In other words... that's how it is.
Shirley: Huh!? I don't get it at all!
Lelouch: That's alright. The viewers in front of the TV know what I'm talking about.
Shirley: Ooh, that just pisses me off!
******************
2. [Euphie] Suzaku! I um... you... um... uuummm... You are to fall in love with me! [...] In return, I will love you!
Tumblr media
Shirley: (in total admiration) I can't believe she actually said that!
Milly: (grin) That's because you don't have the courage to say things like that.
Shirley: Oh, just leave it! (fangirl mode) I have this scene recorded, with the title: "The Scorching Fastball of Love"!
Milly: And Suzaku's really something, isn't he, to be able to catch this "Scorching Fastball". (grin) Lelouch, you're jealous, aren't you?
Lelouch: (quietly) ...no, not really...
Shirley: I wonder which one of the two he's jealous of?
Milly and Lelouch: >__<''
Milly: Um, that's not something you'd normally think about, is it?
Shirley: (innocently) I'm just speaking out on behalf of the female fanbase.
Milly: Come to think of it, I wonder how many people listened in on this confession.
Shirley: Oh right, this was done over a communications channel, wasn't it? I'm surprised you thought of it.
Milly: C'mon, this is a public confession we're talking about here! Everyone wants to know!
Lelouch: That was a private channel, for military use only. The only person who overheard was the operator -- Cecile Croomy.
Milly: Oh, I see. Must have been awkward for Cecile-san. Not like she can just plug her ears and not listen.
Lelouch: Well, after that, I suppose Schneizel might have checked the communications records and said, "Ahahahaha, that was truly a masterpiece, Euphie." </schneizel>
Shirley: (sweatdrop) I can actually imagine him doing that, yes.
Lelouch: By the way, Euphie's the sort of person who does the things she wants to do passionately and wholeheartedly -- while completely oblivious to what's going on around her. She's been like that ever since she was little.
Milly: So that's what you like about her, huh~
Lelouch: (>__<) Stop that! Is this some kind of grade schoolers' pajama party!?
Shirley changes the subject --
*********************
1. [Lelouch] I'll welcome you with open arms. After all, we're friends, aren't we? Fuhahaha... hahahahaha... hahahahaha!
Tumblr media
Lelouch: In the end, every heart is shot down by my beautiful lines!
Milly: Has there ever been a protagonist capable of using the word "Friend" in such an evil sense? This unprecedented form of dark villainy has won critical praise!
Lelouch: ...You're interpreting things in an evil light again.
Shirley: But that's the straight-on interpretation of it, isn't it?
Milly: Yes... it just screams "BRING IT! YOU'LL BE THE ONE GOING DOWN! I'LL BEAT YOU TO A PULP AND SEND YOU OFF CRYING!".
Shirley: Are we mistaken?
Lelouch: (sweat) ...
Milly: Looking back on it now, I suppose this is what he had to say after Suzaku told him "I'm coming to kill you now."
Lelouch: Hmph, I don't care for your interpretations. We're good friends, Suzaku and me.
Shirley: "The person who's been tied down by rules and orders has finally come to kill Zero! That deserves a maniacal laugh!" ...by Lelouch's inner monologue, something like that?
Lelouch: CAN'T YOU LISTEN TO WHAT I'M SAYING FOR ONCE!?
Milly: But you set a proper trap, didn't you?
Lelouch: But of course! I don't see any point in fighting an idiot with reflexes and nothing much else fair and square. My best character trait is my intelligence!
Milly: (sweatdrop) I think that sort of thinking is exactly what's been rubbing Suzaku the wrong way all this time.
Shirley then asks Lelouch about his thoughts on his role in the sequel; Lelouch pauses to think for a moment.
Milly: Moar liek... are you even in the sequel?
Lelouch: (SHOCK) Me, not in the sequel!?
Shirley: Come to think of it, there was that one gunshot in the final scene... BANG!
Milly: Alright, hypothetically speaking: If you were in the sequel, what would you do?
Lelouch: (annoyed) ... As mentioned before... I won't change! My goals, my methods, the things I want to protect... my wrath, too!
Milly: That's... kind of hard to understand, but I guess in a nutshell he's saying "I will still be shamelessly doing all sorts of dirty tricks unbecoming of a protagonist in the sequel! Be sure to tune in!" -- something like that.
Lelouch: (>__<) ...I get it... fine... ...whatever...
Shirley: (sweatdrop) He... acknowledged it.
Lelouch then Geasses the viewers into watching the sequel every week.

It starts with C.C. and Kallen who are staying in a safe house as roomates and are currently laying on their beds. C.C. notices that Kallen is roaming through pictures of Lelouch, to which Kallen claims she does for surveillance purposes leading C.C. to suggest otherwise anyway, calling her a "peeping tom". C.C. decides to change the subject and asks Kallen what they are going to do for food tonight leading Kallen to wonder how C.C. can still be looking for food right now; She then mentions how the two are staying in this safe house under the guise of C.C. as a frail, older sister and Kallen as her supportive, cute, hard-working younger sister and thinks C.C. should try to act her part, to which C.C. replies that she needs nourishment in order to get better. Kallen eventually tells her to just reheat the pot and eat it. C.C. however, complains that she has to eat curry and rice again for the second day in a row. She then straightens up and asks Kallen when Urabe will arrive. Kallen knows that C.C. is not waiting for him, but for the provisions that he brings for them; C.C. mentions how the food Urabe brought the week before was a work of art and that the miso soup was handmade, but she also states that he has no sense of taste; As she mocks Kallen for her cooking, Kallen snaps back and tells her she isn't even able to make a bowl of rice; C.C. tells her that when she really wants to, she can do anything.
Tumblr media
Kallen tells C.C. that she could then try to to clean up the room as it is filthy, but C.C. responds that she will when she becomes tired of it and ultimately pushes the blame back to Kallen who refuses to listen; After that Kallen comes to show some picture of Lelouch to C.C., noticing how he plays piano and does various things ; C.C. knows most of it and teases Kallen when she notices her reacting weirdly to that; They keep on sorting Lelouch's pictures, noticing him gambling, or commenting on Shirley self inserting when Lelouch helps Rivalz for his homsework; Kallen mentions to C.C. that she has to see Lelouch again to confirm something when they suddenly get a call from Urabe, informing her that preparations for the airship are complete; After that C.C. muses about how she’ll make Lelouch’s halted time move ahead again while Kallen on the other hand feels that Lelouch has to become Zero again, or else…

The picture drama begins as Lelouch narrates, wondering about what shape happiness would take if it could be seen In deep thought, he remarks that a kinder, gentler world must indeed exist. He then reminisces about a happy memory from his time at Ashford Academy. Kallen shrieks in discomfort as Shirley tries to tighten an unfinished dress around Kallen's body in the student council room; as Nina and Milly comments about how ecchi this sounded, Shirley apologizes for touching Kallen; While Shirley keeps on working on the dress, Milly comments that although Shirley might not look like it, she is at least capable at sewing; Shirley is annoyed by the patronizing. Nunnally and Milly then reveal that the girls of the Student Council are preparing for the upcoming Handmade Dress Party. The dresses are handmade so the party wont become a contest of girls comparing brand-names and price tags. As they keep on talking about the party, Milly questions Kallen on who will be her escort to which Kallen replies that she has not decided yet. Shirley cautiously asks if it will be Lelouch, causing Kallen to turn flustered. The girls take her reaction as an evidence she thought about picking him, to which Kallen quickly insists that this is a misunderstanding and that arrogant guys like Lelouch are not her type. They then persist and ask whether Suzaku or Rivalz might be the one, drawing a stronger denial from Kallen. While the girls keeps on talking, Lelouch, Suzaku, and Rivalz are carrying supplies down the hall when they all mysteriously begin to sneeze in succession. Rivalz suggests that this is the kind of sneezing that people get when others are talking about them and gleefully wonders if the girls are thinking about them. Lelouch brings up the topic of the escorts and says the girls must be talking about who will be going with who to the party. He then says that he will be escorting Nunnally as he always does; When Suzaku suggests that he could escort Nunnally instead, Lelouch reacts with nervousness and apprehension; While he says he trusts Suzaku, Lelouch brings up various excuses for why he must be the one to escort Nunnally. Rivalz takes the chance to tease Lelouch about his obsessive over-protectiveness, commenting on Lelouch's "heartwarming" love for his younger sister.
Tumblr media
Lelouch, Suzaku, and Rivalz enters the Student Council room as Milly presents an embarrassed Kallen in her new dress. The boys are stunned by the sight and begin to stare and compliment her. As a flustered Lelouch suggests that the dress indeed makes the woman, Nunnally scolds her brother, saying he shouldn't say that, even as a joke since he will be the one escorting Kallen. Lelouch is utterly shocked. Nunnally then happily reveals that she will be going with Suzaku because "she pulled his name". All the girls apparently used Nina's "3D Hyper Miracle Lottery" game to decide who their escorts would be. Shirley pulled Rivalz name, to which both react with disappointment and disgust. Upset over the results, Lelouch loudly denounces the lottery and sternly rejects the pairings. Kallen takes offence to this, asking Lelouch if she isn't good enough for him. Lelouch reluctantly tries to deny he said, that giving Nunnally the opportunity to affirm the issue is then settled, to which Lelouch reventually gives in. As the council begins to cheer for the upcoming party, Arthur, who has been strangely attracted to Kallen during the whole thing, begins to run around her feet, causing Kallen to panic, much to Shirley's distress as the dress isn't finished; As the dress fall under Kallen's very undignified shriek, the last panel shows Lelouch's blushing face over seeing *you own imagination there* Lelouch eventually narrates the present again. He remarks how, one year ago, every day was just like this childish episode. With a tinge of sadness, he closes by saying how he did not realize then how precious every little happy moment of that time would mean to him later on.

The Chief decides to question on his origins to which Lelouch replied with Japan, not "Area 11" as it's commonly called, shocking all the men in the room. Lelouch then mentions that the Chinese Federation has two weapons that he needs in order to defeat "that man". The first is battle potential and the second is the roots of Geass. Lelouch reveals that the Chief and his men care for nothing except craving for power and imposes heavy taxes to the people in order to fatten his wallet. For punishment, Lelouch uses his Geass ordering the Chief and his men to be pigs.
Tumblr media
Kallen states that now the path to Vermillion city is opened and C.C. mentions that Tohdoh and the others will be wondering how they managed to open the door from the inside. As she brags about her plan going out smoothly Lelouch shuts her up, asking how she dared to turn him into their older sister and complaining about how they exxagerated his traits; Kallen snaps at him that she had to dress as a bunny girl to save him, while C.C. add she ate a lot if pizza. Kallen then begins to complain for she wanted to see Lelouch's embarrasing dance moves but Lelouch says that unfortunately for her, he was taught how to dance during his time in Britannia as a young boy and he knows every dance; He then says he'll never crossdress ever again, to which C.C sights that she wanted to try it at least once, stuff like cross gender festival, or general student life things. Lelouch receives a phone call from a member of the Black Knights and is informed that a Knightmare has appeared a point 17. Lelouch tells him to initiate their warship systems and puts Diethard in command. He then orders Kallen to go in her Guren and help to which she obeys directly; As C.C. tells Lelouch that she will return to the Ikaruga. Lelouch tells her to wait and tell her that after this is over, they will have everything back and she'll even be able to be a sudent and enjoy it as she wants to. She then decides that she would be president of the Pizza Club and that Lelouch can be vice-president. Lelouch wonders why she would have a higher rank and the two then continue on arguing about pizza and age fraud and fun stuff like that.

Nunnally and Schneizel take some time off after the Chinese Federation's coup d'état at a newly opened casino designed by Clovis. They have a conversation about how the casino was built as a present for the late Clovis who was a man that loved to give presents. Cecile is seen with Guilford and Kanon explaining on how the slot machine was developed in Area 11 and how to play it. Guilford is surprised by the amount of knowledge that Cecile knows in gambling and she replies that it helps with her work stress. Kanon questions if it really works and then Cecile proposes the idea of all of them gambling sometime. He appears happy about it stating that it is good to get away from all of the royalty and the Knights of the Round who he is always stuck with. Meanwhile, Suzaku is with Gino playing the slot machines when it appears that Gino won the jackpot. Gino states that he is getting bored, while Suzaku says that the slots are probably slow because its the opening day (which in fact is due to their superhuman reflexes). The conversation goes back to the other three where Guilford questions on where Anya is, with Cecile replying that she is with Nunnally. Kanon comments that they must be really good friends.
Tumblr media
It then moves onto Anya and Nunnally who are both tasting the food at the casino. After commmenting on how wonderful the food tastes, Anya suggests she tries some other kinds to which Nunnally accepts. Lloyd appears along with Cécile, Guilford, and Kanon who comments that Anya and Nunnally must be friends now. Kanon replies that it must be because of them being close in age. However, Schneizel appears and states that it must be their souls are being drawn together. But, Lloyd comments that a soul is unscientific. As Kanon looks at Schneizel and tells he never met someone so undetached with their feelings, they both remember a time at school when Schneizel was the perfect prefet, admired by everyone, and how he always thought that he was a model leader for everyone to follow. He then comments that even though Schneizel was nice, he wasn't afraid to use a whip to enforce rules. Schneizel replies stating that he never had to use a whip after making an example out of Kanon. Gino reappears with the rest of the group and asks Schneizel to gamble with him since he bested everyone else. After asking Kanon and Lloyd on whether he should gamble, Schneizel decides to and states that he will leave Gino completely defeated.

As she is new to all of this, Kallen begings to question Milly about this festival; Milly says it was very popular the year before so they thought about doing it again; Milly replies that since it was well received last year, they decided to do it again this year. Nunnally jumps in on the conversation commenting that she likes dressing as a boy. As Kallen amdits it's okay for woman, she wonders how guys are handling to be dressed as girls. Sayoko says they usually think it's fun and Nina adds that 3 guys already made their coming out throught it; one of them was even their teacher, add Shirley. Milly then decides to ask if the guys are ready yet. Suzaku replies that they are ready and prepares to open the door; He is wearing a girls uniform, Rivalz is a voluputous maid and Lelouch is dressed up as a victorian lady. As Suzaku wants to open, Lelouch interrupts him, stating that he is not mentally prepared for it yet. Lelouch wonders how Suzaku how can be so calm and comfortable in girl clothes, but Suzaku says that he is still a boy anyway, as he lift his skirt a bit, to Lelouch's utter shock. After waiting long enough, the girls decide to come in. As soon as they come in, they all comment that Lelouch looks beautiful as a girl, Shirey even feel less confident as a woman compared to Lelouch; Suzaku cheerfully tell Lelouch that it's all right since everyone things he is pretty, and Lelouch once again strongly react at how Suzaku shouldn't be able to say stuff like that. Rivalz ask Lelouch to not be so serious about that and just to have fun, but he refuses. As Milly mourns his temper while he is super pretty, Nunally kind breaks the mood by complaining she is the only one who can't see how pretty her brother is. As everyone turns silent she innocently asks what's wrong. Milly then resets back the mood and decides that even as dressing up in the opposite gender is not enough and that everybody needs to change their personalities as well. Since Milly is Student Council President, everybody complies and starts to act according to their gender.
Tumblr media
As They are all getting very nicely in their role and attitude, Suzaku admits it's not his first time as a girl as he played this part within the army during talent night; Nunnally strongly enjoys herself while witnessing all of it; As Sayoko begins to call Lelouch Luluko, as "ko" is a suffix oftenly used in japanese woman's name,Milly decides to have fun and declares her love for Lelouch which results in Shirley admitting it in panic as well; Jumping on board, Rivalz declares his love to Milly. As Lelouch asks them to stop already Kallen mocks him and his popularity, resulting in Shirley asking her if she is also after Luluko; Kallen strongly denies that, calling her ugly, which makes Suza!girl cry over how cruel it is to call a girl an ugly one; Nina is a bit startled at how everyone is just so good within their role, but Milly insist and ask Luluko to chose between her, Shirley and Kallen (who still doesn't want to be a part of it) Suzaku thinks it's unfair for Luluko to have 3 guys after her, and as Lelouch almost break character to yell at them to stop, Nunnally's nice scolding stop him within his tracks. Eventually he just freaks out and beg them to stop.

The scene happens as Lelouch and Nunnally are eating dinner together ; As Nunnally compliments on Lelouch's cooking because it's delicious she questions him about how he prepared it as he explains the menu and how he used alcool for marinade. Nunnally suggest she might get drunk and Lelouch hppily tells her that since this is their hom they can do whatever they want; This lead Nunnally to remind him of their past, but Lelouch thinks it's different as it was unpleasant before; They agree though on the fact that Suzaku was a good thing coming out of it. Thinking of him, Nunnally realises it's been a while since they didn't had a visit; While Lelouch says it's because Suzaku must be busy with his job she tells him she was thinking about C.C., leading Lelouch to drop his teacup in discomfort.
Tumblr media
As he nervously asks her what about C.C., Nunnally explains she thinks he hasn't been able to date her because Nunnally is always around, so she thinks she should go out more; Lelouch then tells her she is wrong and that C.C. isn't his girlfriend, but he is hesitant about how to explain what she is to him, because he can't tell her she is his accomplice, and to call a friend a girl who would be visiting him at night wouldn't be believable; He then thinks of introducing her as a teacher or as a boy whose voice hasn't matured yed, and as his brain goes wild...Sayoko comes in, giving him the perfect chance to change subject. Sayoko was off to accompagny Milly in her new engagement meeting, since she works for the Ashford family, she has to fill duties for them when she is demanded; As Nunnally wonders how Milly's date went, Sayoko tells her it was the usual and the young man left confused; Nunnaly then wonders if Milly loves someone and Lelouch tells her he doubt it and that she probably just want to stay free as long as possible. Sayoko says Milly is more shy than she looks and remember that she brought something for Nunnally. As Lelouch wonders what it is, Sayoko tells it's the next part of the 1000 origami cranes, cause as Nunnally explains, she asked Sayoko if there were any other similar charms to fulfill wishes. Lelouch then realises Sayoko brought a voodoo straw doll, and explains it's because Nunnally wanted something powerful. She then handles her some huge nails, to fit in the doll.

The drama begins with Nunnally and Sayoko listening through the radio the announcer speech about Zero and Nunnally who have been in talk for the Special Administration Zone of Japan for 30 minutes. The camera slides over Nunnally, who is holding the broken half of a plate before a flashback ensues. We then discover Nunnally at a very sall age; As she is running around in her pajamas in a bedroom, being super enegetic, a young Lelouch tells Nunnally that she should go to bed or she won't wake up tomorrow morning. Nunnally declines stating that she's not sleepy and that it is rare to stay at Euphemia's place. We then see a young Euphemia lying on her bed, reading a book who says that she doesn't mind Nunnally staying awake a little longer. Nunnally spots something that piques her curiosity and asks Euphemia what it is. Lelouch is able to recognize it as their mother's commemorative knighthood plate. Euphemia states that she thought it was lovely and asked her sister, Cornelia if she could have it. Nunnally picks it up and tells Lelouch that she wants the plate too; However, Lelouch tells her that the nighted person can't keep any commemorative artifacts. Even after hearing it Nunnally still wants it, and begs Euphie who doesn't know what to do; Lelouch insists otherwise anyway and tries to grab it from her as they quarrel with Nunnally accusing him of constantly favoring Euphie, to Lelouch's flustering who denies.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, the plate drops to the ground and shatters into pieces. Lelouch quickly apologizes to Euphemia and tells Nunnally to do the same. Nunnally starts crying as she apologizes to Euphemia. However, Euphemia responds that she is glad that it broke because now she and Nunnally can both have it at the same time and since it's broken, it won't break the rule about not having the artefact if you were knighted. She hands a piece of the plate to Nunnally and receives a kiss from her while saying she loves her. The flashback ends with Nunnally mentioning that memory was the last time they were allowed to have a childhood since not lon after that they learnt the world wasnt a gentle place. It returns to the present with Nunnally believing that Euphemia is working towards a peaceful world. The announcer notes that Euphemia has returned onto the stage and wears a smile, leading him to ponders she might have come to an agreement with Zero. The radio slowly becomes afflicted with more and more static as the announcer is unable to understand what Euphemia is about to do. Nunnally wonders what is happening and it ends with a sound of a plate shattering.

Suzaku is seen suiting up into his pilot suit while questioning himself why he is fighting, thinking he is doing it because that's the only thing he can do, as it has been decided since that "time." It moves to a flashback of when Suzaku, Lelouch and Nunnally were children, after Japan has just surrendered to Britannia. Lelouch explains to Suzaku that he plans on changing his and Nunnally's name so that the imperial family thinks of them as dead, and to go into hiding with the Ashford family since Lord Ashford arrived with the occupation force and he is having their back; Still, Lelouch doesn't really trust him, but he has to do with what he can get. He thinks Lord Ashford wants to use them as hostage in case things turns bad for him. Suzaku has trouble understanding but thinks that at least, they know what to do. Nunnally then questions Suzaku about what he plans to do now as well. Both Lelouch and Nunnally assumed that he would go with his master, Kyoshiro Tohdoh. However, Suzaku replied that he wasn't able to get in contact with Tohdoh and that Kirihara has joined Britannia and has told him to do the same. As Lelouch wonders about the Sumeragi familySuzaku tells them only Kaguya seems left as a successor, but then reassures both Lelouch and Nunnally that he will be fine as he is the son of the Kururugi Family. Suzaku's adult voice then narrates over the flashback that back then he already know a problem like him could never be seen again in public, and that he'd never meet them again. He knew this was the day his childhood was over and he thinks Lelouch had probably realised that as well.
Tumblr media
As he thinks about how this was all his doing, for if he hadn't killed his father maybe there wouldn't have been so many losses, even if they had been separated, maybe things might have turned out differently. He then thinks about how he wanted to tell the truth to Lelouch but was unable to do so, that's why he thinks that when Lelouch spoke first, he saved him. We then get to see young Lelouch coming back to him after taking Nunnally farther, and swearing him he will destroy Britannia. Suzaku then admits he felt a little sad for he didn't reply to this oath, while Lelouch was promising to kill his own father, even though Suzaku thought, based on his own experience, that it wasn't the answer. The flashback ends and returns to Suzaku mentionning that he believe his time stopped that very day, and that if he had spoken, maybe the weel of time would have continued it's path for him, and maybe things might have been different, because they only wanted to be happy, all the while he imagines peaceful times with grown Lelouch and Nunnally. Alas it's too late and he thinks Lelouch's path is now wrong and he has to be stopped for Nunnally and Euphie's sake. He then concludes Lelouch was his first enemy and his worst friend.
That's about it for season 1 picture drama ; Next post will be about R2 picture dramas.

Ami Koshimizu interview about Kallen's evolution, relationship and Kallen's future
This interview Came out right after the airing of Turn 22; If you don't remember what happened in Turn 22, well, this happened:
Tumblr media
Question: About the kiss in Turn 22. Ami: I'm also surprised by that kiss. Before this, I interpret Kallen as having no romantic feelings toward Zero or Lelouch. So I was like, "no kidding?! I've mistaken?!" But the director wanted me to show that Kallen is anxious from not knowing Lelouch's feelings towards her, and is seeking an answer no matter what. An idea comes to mind, "if I come this far, maybe Lelouch will say something." Without too much thinking nor noticing her feelings, she acts. When she kisses and Lelouch still doesn't answer to her, it's the first time she notices, "woah, I really like this guy." That's what the director said. Question: So Kallen thinks she likes Lelouch. Ami: Maybe she didn't realize it before because she mixed this feeling with loyality. Although she notices it now, there's nothing she can do under that situation. She can't just insist to go with him. It isn't Kallen's character to do so. Kallen is considerate to people around her. She will not allow her selfishness to get in the way. That's the type that doesn't get happiness, right? *laughs*
Question: What about Suzaku? Ami: She was captured and almost injected with Refrain. That's really mean of him, right? I think beating him up makes her feel refreshed. Suzaku thinks if it's wartime, it can't be helped if you have to kill your friend. I think that's why Kallen dislikes him, and knowing that such a person is following Lelouch irritates her. Question: Which Kallen scene gives you a strong impression? Ami: Lately it's the conversation with Nunnally. Although they werein Ashford together, they didn't get to talk in private. It's the first time the two of them can sit down and talk about their beloved brothers, and share their thoughts of a peaceful world. I think if they were able to talk earlier, they would have become good friends and might have changed a lot of things. Question: Is there anyone you really want to say something to? Ami: Yes! To Ougi-san! In Turn 16, when the UFN request Black Knights to liberate Japan, Rakshata said, "that'll also save Kallen". Ougi-san, your response was so vague! It was written on the script (in brackets) "actually he forgot"! When I was captured, you were secretly dating Chigusa, saying I love you, and then fall off a cliff. What are you doing? Ougi-san!! Question: Please give fans a message! Ami: For fans who like Kallen as loyal follower of Zero, I'm really sorry. I think from now on, Kallen will think and act on her own. Anyway, please look over her till the end.

I'm making this article in order to have a full article about everything canon about C.C., because I found an article about them which was mixing canon release like character poem and profile and non canon ones like novels or editors article from magazines, which led a lot of people to be confused or mislead about C.C.. In this article you'll only find canon material, which means, no content from the magazines like Newtype, megami, Animage or Animedia, as those are text made up by editors or novelist, they don't come from the staff; unless of course, those are interviews, or staff release content (Like the Newtype booklet from 2008 which came with the Newtype but was filled with staff information/comments) Same for novels, for Code Geass, novels aren't canon, they are made up and more like headcanons and interpretation from the author who wrote thoseas as confirmed by Mamoru Isawa (Code Geass novels authors) and Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass anime director) in a discussion they had at tht end of one of the first novels.) Anything that's not from the staff is made up (that's why a lot of novels contradict each other and even canonical event from the show)
Tumblr media
Those are canonical release that you can use to understand what C.C. was about in canon OG (and some elements about her relationship with Lelouch) Enjoy !
(I only added the during R2 and post R2 release, as they are those which holds most the answers about C.C.)
******************************
So For C.C. We have her R2 character Song, Connect, which is a lovely song i'd advice anyone to listen :
CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 Sound Episode 1 CONNECT / YUKANA
You can’t see ahead, you can’t read tomorrow Your face from the side looks distressed Searching for the answer, your heart is withering You hide your weakness, too It’s okay even if you cry softly Remove your mask of bravado Because on a night with only the two of us, I’ll accept you You’re not alone
I’m embracing you with my heart Spreading my wings that envelop you Even when the times are good, even when it’s not so I’m by your side Everything is cold to you And the dark night seems to be endless Nevertheless, because the beginning will take place, I’m always watching you
Because even when we’re able to understand or oppose each other I’m supporting you I’ll promise you, you may believe in me Our encounter was inevitable You softly and tenderly Wiped away my teardrops Because your clumsy fingers are warm
I’m not alone If you would overtake yesterday’s dream And stand still somewhere Then close your eyes and feel me I’m by your side
Because even if the season when the two of us Will be walking on separate paths comes someday I’ll become the wind connecting the remote starry sky It’s okay even if you cry softly Remove your mask of bravado Because on a night with only the two of us, I’ll accept you
You’re not alone I’m embracing you with my heart Spreading my wings that envelop you Even when the times are good, even when it’s not so I’m by your side
Everything is cold to you And the dark night seems to be endless Nevertheless, because the beginning will take place, I’m always watching you
Note : This song is lovely and filled with tenderness and care for Lelouch, I think it fits perfectly her feelings toward the end, where she was finally there to comfort him; She can see his suffering and wants to watch over him, it's a more positive view of what she feels when it comes to his pain that of her poem, which holds a certain darkness. I think Yukana's statement about C.C.'s feelings being akin to those of a goddess could fit, but seiyuu's views aren't canon material so it's up to interpretation (especially since we have no canon answer about her feelings)
****************************** C.C.'s regret message from the Code Geass Complete Best.
Tumblr media
Waga Routashi Aku no Hana (My Beautifully Elegant Flower of Evil)
From the entire beginning, I should have warned you. That the power of the king would isolate you. You will lose your friends, become different from your childhood friend, and you will be betrayed by your subordinates.
Your parents will vanish from your sight, your siblings will disappear like dew.
Yes, it's terribly burdensome. And pitiful.
Now, your sole companion is solitude. There is nobody who will embrace you, who has been smeared in blood. Rocks have been pelted at you by many, and as retribution, you trampled over them. At that time, nobody noticed that the shriek that was secretly welling up inside your heart.
Yes, it's pitiful.
It's as if you are a poisonous amaryllis blooming from the ground. Only I know of its elegence.
Note : C.C.'s character poem is actually quite dark, she talks about Lelouch's burden and explains how, while he was shouldering more and more pain, she was slowly healing, she even came to say that seeing him in pain had her growing more attached to him;
Not to say that C.C. Is some kind of sadistic, but we get the feeling that most of all, her solitude and her past trauma are what burdened C.C. the most, with Lelouch having to deal with the same misery, she was able to heal, as if he was taking this misery instead. I know some C.C. fans weren't happy about her poem and the undertones of it, it's more obvious in japanese but it implies strongly that C.C. used Lelouch to achieve happiness. I personally absolutely love this poem, because It's a very sad, and yet incredibly elegant poem, like C.C. and I think it fits her perfectly.

Code Geass picture drama Turn 9.34
While Lelouch, C.C. and Kallen conduct a mission in China, and Lelouch gets fed up as ending up cross dressing as a woman, C.C. ends up showing a bit of envy at the thought of how fun the school crossdressing festival and activies looked, and Lelouch tell her when they get everything back, if she wants to be a student, she'll be able to experiment this life (The whole thing end up in classical Lelouch/C.C. banter with her planning to open a pizza club and having Lelouch as the vice president)
Note : While it echoes Turn 9 and Lelouch asking Kallen to get back to Ashford with him, it's still quite different, since Lelouch doesn't ask for C.C. to come but he notices she is interested and he reacts in telling her she'll be able to do those things she wants to do if she wants to. He basically shows he cares in a very Lelouch way, and we still get a nice banter between them so it definitely belonged there.

Code Geass picture Drama Turn 22.05
Tumblr media
You can watch it here
This picture drama happens right before Turn 22 and allows a talk between Cecile and C.C. where they talk about their aspirations, past and about their relationship with Lelouch and Suzaku ; It's actually pretty interesting for C.C. since Cecile actually asks her if she loves Lelouch and she doesn't seem to know (In Turn 24 she'll give a very similar answer to Kallen); It's very interesting to have this talk between those two older ladies who have been watching over the boys from their side during the show.
My own analysis : For C.C.s feelings I think it fits the major theme of her character, Lelouch made her feel human again through a contract which became a promise, so she certainly has an hard time figuring out what Lelouch is to her, even though he is special. We have to remember this woman lived for hundred of years and her views of feelings and love in general might very well different of the one of those who lived only for a few years compared to her.
******************************
NT Booklet : The only content of interest about C.C. and Lelouch is in the Turn 24 corner and about this picture drama, the staff talk about how they thought it would be nice to have C.C. in a long gown playing lyre; They also say that C.C.'s role was to watch over Lelouch till the end (The rest is about Schneizel, his world and Suzaku and C.C. believing in Lelouch's world)
Tumblr media
**************************
And Last but not least, C.C.'s various official profile :
CC profile on Geass*net (Geassnet was a website available through cellphone only in japan it was run by the staff and had a fee of 300 yen/month to access to it) You can see those profile being refered in various forums, community, or in wikipedia (there were picture of the various profile but photobucket didn't kept them because this website really suck)
"Knowing that Lelouch does not hate her for giving him the Geass, she is now able to show her true feelings. With the realization of "Zero Requiem", her time with Lelouch, who was able to forgive and accept her, came to an end, but the memories created with him has, without doubt, saved her from eternal loneliness."
C.C. Profile on the Code Geass R2 Complete Official Guidebook :
Tumblr media
"After she found the orphan child of Marianne, and because of what happened with Mao, C.C. chose to not give geass to the young Lelouch and to watch as he grows, but she was captured by Bartley. When C.C. found Lelouch in Shinjuku, she gave him Geass to save him from a dire situation. To Lelouch, who was devoted to fight for his desire and got intoxicated by the power of Geass, C.C. declared, "You and I are accomplices" ; It is a self-defense measure born from her experience with Mao. Surprisingly, Lelouch kept respecting the position of an accomplice.
While she is entrusted to be a body-double and negotiator, he never asked for her to be a mother-figure or a lover; It is thanks to Lelouch that C.C. was able to be considered an equal for the first time as a partner.
Lelouch, who promised to fulfill her wish despite the unfair conditions, became a special existence to C.C.; When C.C. was trying to protect him in exchange for her life, Lelouch hoped for her to live and repeatedly said “I will surely make you smile!”. To answer those feelings, C.C. sealed her code and resisted Charles. She chose to believe in Lelouch.
Her trust wasn't betrayed. Even when she lost her memory, Lelouch did not stop being kind [to her], and when he launched into battle resolved to kill his beloved sister if it came to it, he did not utter a single word of hatred.
This is probably why C.C. has found the resolve to live for a long time. "Hurry up and go. Then come back. You're going to make me smile, aren't you?" As C.C.'s words suggest, what she received from the partner she finally met after hundreds of years, was a powerful "promise"."
***Note: The major theme behind C.C.'s story appears to be the evolution of a contract between witch and human to a promise between two human beings. In another one of those Code Geass ironies, C.C. became human by choosing to keep her immortality.
** All the translations were made by Galvea, Lixiangxing, Blottyparchment, Koshimizu, Roon, Lie, i only double checked since I owned the material (Those translators are part of those who worked hard to translate most of the material which was available during and after the Anime airing; You can find a lot of discussion about those over the internet on Gamefaqs/Livejournal/Animesuki if you want to triple check.)
Main source
Note : I know some part of her profile launched some riot in 2ch back in the Geass airing days (a lof of side material did actually.) but I think it eventually fits the show, even though everything wasn't crystal clear, especially when it comes to C.C., who suffered a lack of screentime in R2 (especially compared to season 1) While I was first a Lelouch x C.C. shipper during my airing days watch, I found myself not shipping them much as a romance (I still very much enjoy their relationship, but I have a different view of it now) when I rewatched it years later, it just felt different from what I thought i had seen at first, so I can now say I understand those profile and informations better and am not really surprised. Above all relationship matter, the fact Lelouch forgave C.C. and never hold any grudge against her has probably saved her from her loneleliness, and to be treated as a human being again, with this powerful promise, has certainly done wonder to her.
I would have loved a sequel with C.C. wandering around the world and discovering more of her humanity. There were so many great things to do with such a character within the canon timeline, but sometimes I think they created a character way too complicated to write and that's why they never were able to actually use her to her full potential.
Tumblr media
As a Bonus I'd like to add this short snippet of Yukana's blog (C.C.'s seiyuu) that she wrote after the end of R2.
It surprised me that so many would ask me what C.C.'s real name is. I'm happy that so many are interested to know. I'm sorry! Taniguchi has cast a geass upon me... C.C.'s name is... Au..Au.. (it's a cute sound she often write on her blog) Eh? What was it? My apologies! I've forgotten! >_< That's how it's become. I think I'll cherish this name until the day I (C.C.) meet someone who I really want him to call me by the real name
I thought that while the whole thing was incredibly cute (at the same time, Yukana is), the last line was even sweeter. That's about it for C.C., Hope her fans enjoyed.

Code Geass Season 1 picture Drama 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 // Canon
Code Geass picture drama are short scene which relates various events which happened in between episode or even before the beginning or after the end of the anime. All of them are canon to the anime, but some have been added within the flow due to the AU Release causing some confusion within the fandom.
I'll list in there, in the right order, all of those which are canon to the anime only; I also uploaded all of them (minus the 2nd picture drama of Season 1, because the content was too ecchi for the platform I used) so i'll link them so you can see those if you wish to.

In 2009 a.t.b., 10-year-old Lelouch vi Britannia carries his blind and paralyzed sister Nunnally on his back as he climbs the steps to a Shinto shrine in Japan. As Nunally asks him what a shrine is, Lelouch explains that it is the Japanese version of a church, and Nunnally asks if the Pope is the emperor of Japan. Lelouch says that Japan has an elected prime minister and that it's just a coincidence that Prime Minister, Genbu Kururugi's home is a Shinto shrine. As Nunnally asks Lelouch if he alright, carrying her along those stairs he reassures her, narrating about how at that time he didn't want for any japanese person to even touch Nunnally. After reaching the top of the stairs, Lelouch is shocked to find out that they'll be living in a shabby storeroom. As Nunnally asks what the room is like, Lelouch chooses to lie and says it has white walls and decorated windows. Lelouch spots somebody and demands that they come forward.
Tumblr media
A boy dressed in a hakama comes out, claiming this place was his before they came in and asks them in a very condescending tone if Britannia plans to colonize Japan. Lelouch counters that Japan isn't much different as they are controlling other countris too, but underdevellopped ones and says that Suzaku should ask his father about that, as Suzaku calls him a liar. Suzaku insists that Lelouch is indeed a liar for he lies about the storehouse, asking im where the white walls and decorated windows are, pissing Lelouch off as he yells him to stop and charges forward. Suzaku easily knocks down Lelouch and begins to beat him up, when Nunnally cries out and asks Suzaku to stop. She says she'll do anything he asks, and he realizes that she's blind. Suzaku panics and quickly apologizes before running out of the room. Nunnally asks who that was, and Lelouch tells her it was Prime Minister Kururugi's son. Adult Lelouch then narrates that's how they first met and how Suzaku was his first friend, and the man who would become his worst rival.

The Drama begins as all the female members of Ashford Academy's Student Council are gathering while taking a bath. Milly apologizes to Kallen for not making her welcome party more exciting because of the announcement of Prince Clovis' s death which kinda killed the mood, even for her. Kallen replies that she doesn't mind it, but questions on why all of them are together in the bath especially her as well since she had already taken a shower earlier. However, Milly states that this is another way that they can all get to know each other better and implies that Shirley would be upset if Kallen actually went home wearing Lelouch's clothes. Shirley quickly shoots down Milly's statement and instead chooses to question as to why Lelouch was acting strangely after the announcement of Clovis' death ;Milly replies that Nunnally was also listening closely; Kallen then mentions that she noticed that Lelouch treated her differently than he does with Nunnally.
Tumblr media
Milly jokingly states that it is because he loves his sister very much, which makes it complicated for some other people. Shirley follows up by asking Milly why she is staring at her and Milly ponders that it's a shame because she really has a killer body, and her beauty should be enough to knock Lelouch off. Shirley ask her to not peep at her and snap back that she has the best figure around; Milly ask her if that's the case and stands in her full glory, making an impression on everyone. As a soft voice says, Milly is intimidating everyone, Kallen quickly agrees before noticing Nina said that and that she looks utterly different without her glasses on. Milly agrees that she does and mentions that she has been trying to convince her all this time to wear contacts, taking her chance at teasing her; Kallen is confused as Milly stated "All this time" to which Nina replies that she and Milly grew up together because her grandfather worked in Milly's grandfather's company in developing knightmares. Kallen then makes the connexion with the Ashford name and excitingly ask if they are those who devellopped the Ganymede and the Io series; Milly is surprised to see that Kallen knows so much about what were only Knightmare prototype, leading Kallen to get back into her frail act while pretending she probably read about that in a book somewhere. Milly goes on talking about those never reached advanced stage because of the costs and how the compagny went bankrupt; Nina apologizes as she thinks it's because of her grand father but Milly denies it, putting the blame on her own grandfather, as he wasted money by throwing huge parties, all the time; Shirley notices Milly inheritated his taste for parties, to which Milly agrees but thinks you can only enjoy yourself like that when you are a student. Suddenly, Milly asks if Kallen is available the day after tomorrow to which she replies that she can't as she has to go to Tokyo Tower that day. Milly decides that it is fine and that she can just do it right now, by asking Kallen, what are her three sizes because they need it for costumes or events. Kallen ask her is that's cosplay and directly refuses when Milly agrees. With no choice left, Milly orders Shirley to hold Kallen back and proceeds to get her measurments. This leaves Kallen to become embarrassed and shout out loud.

Jeremiah and Villetta are in his office having a conversation with each other. Villetta asks Jeremiah how it feels to actually be sitting in the Viceroy's chair. Jeremiah responds that it is bad manners to ask something like that; Villetta reminds Jeremiah that her lineage is different from his but he thinks differently and reassures her that after the Purist Faction takes over, he will personally submit a proposal for her to become a Baroness, and she'll be a real noble with a lineage to be passed on. He then explains that Suzaku Kururugi's execution is scheduled for tomorrow and leaves the details to her. Jeremiah continues by stating that he cannot receive further shame as it has now been twice that he allowed members of the Royal Family to be killed. He tells Villetta of his time when he received his first mission as a soldier eight years ago to were he was assigned as a guard at the Aries Imperial Villa. As he narrates, he remembers that because of an order, a minimum number of guards were on duty that day and were not able to defend from rebels.
Tumblr media
This became his first failure and he was moved to Area 11 afterwards. Jeremiah begins to cry because of these failures of his and because Area 11 became the grave of the late Lelouch and Nunnally and now of Clovis. Villetta tries to comfort him, telling him i's not like him to act this way, to which Jeremiah straighten back, agreeing she is right and states that his sister, Lilycia would laugh at him right now in his current state. He decides to continue on with his work in order to regain his former honor for Prince Clovis and former Queen Marianne. Then, Jeremiah calls Villetta to his side and aspires to become the Knight of One. It ends with a scene from episode 4 after Jeremiah encounters Zero and is already under his Geass influence ordering his men to stand down and allow Zero to escape with Suzaku Kururugi.

Out on the Ashford Academy front lawn, Rivalz is working on his motorbike with Suzaku while they talk about how the latter first met Lelouch. Suzaku has just told him that Lelouch used to come over to visit during summer break when they were kids, but politely says that they had not spent much time together. Rivalz awkwardly asks him to stop being so formal as they are just classmates. Suzaku subsequently apologizes and speaks more casually. Since Lelouch is very secretive about his past, Rivalz says he is happy to have finally met someone who knew Lelouch when he was younger. When Rivalz asks Suzaku to hand him a ten-millimetre wrench, Suzaku corrects him with the proper size and expresses his familiarity with the bike. Suzaku fondly explains that a woman who owned the same bike used to help him a lot before joined the army and it was his job to maintain the bike. This person, however, has already passed away. After Suzaku says that he lives in the cramped military quarters at the university across the street, Rivalz asks if he wants to be his roommate at the dorms; a hint of loneliness in his voice. Suzaku declines as he has to attend to this duties there, but thanks Rivalz for the kind offer.
Tumblr media
In the military quarters across the street, Cecile asks Lloyd to finish up the important paper work that will finalize their move into the university's space. Lloyd says he will leave it all up to her as he always does, noting how many years they have been working together. She tells him that it is wasteful to put off doing things for later and he replies that he sees "love" inside of her. Cecile is initially flustered. He then reasserts that it is love; love for research. Unamused by the joke, Cecile asks for authority over the general affairs of their engineering core and Lloyd grants it. Suzaku enters the building immediately after, stiffly reporting to duty according to military procedure. Cecile sternly tells Suzaku to simply say "I'm back" instead as social and military rank should not play part here. She insists that this military quarter should be treated like their home. After some hesitation, Suzaku assents and says "I'm back." Cecile and Lloyd then respond with a warm "Welcome home!".

Cornelia and Euphemia are in the dressing room at Prince Clovis's beach resort. Cornelia questions Euphemia if she has to wear that swimsuit as she believes that it is too revealing. However, Euphemia on the other hand states that out of all the swimsuits that Clovis designed, that one is the most appropriate for her. Euphemia tells her to put it on and helps her in doing so. Andreas Darlton and Guilford are seen standing outside guarding the dress room. Darlton can't wait to see Cornelia in a swimsuit and mentions on how his sons would be jealous right now if they were here. Guildford asks if he means the Glaston Knights and states that he respects Darlton for taking in orphans but thinks it's not appropriate to speak like that; Darlton then mentions how much of a stick up in his ass Guilford has, to which the knight can't disagree. After that, Guilford notes that even if both of them are bodyguards for the princesses and have to be in swimsuits he thinks Darlton might be going a tad bit overboard with hiding a gun in his swimming trunks to which Darlton replies that he might be right, as it's obviously visible (you can guess where the gun was put) We then jump to Suzaku who is sitting on the beach with Cecile asking her if it's really alright to be relaxing while they are supposed to be guards. Cecile states that it is alright since no one knows Cornelia is the surprised guest of the resort,and when Suzaku mentions Lloyd's absence she insists that she couldn't care less. Eventually, Suzaku compliments Cecile on her looking good in a swmisuit, making the lady all flustered by the compliment as he shouldn't tease a lady like that;
Tumblr media
While Suzaku tries to explain he wasn't teasing, he is interrupted by a voice who has recgnized him ; It was Shirley, who has just arrived with the whole of the Ashford Student council; As Suzaku wonderd what they are doing her, Milly tells her that she was invited because her father is a local dignitary and she brought everyone with her ; Indeed Nunnally, Lelouch and Sayoko are also there. As Suzaku is surprised to see them, Nunnally explains that while she can't move her legs, she is still able to move within the water. She then shyly asks to Suzaku if he'd agree on swimming with her; Suzaku replied he'd love to, but he is kinda working;
Cornelia then appears on stage making an announcement to open Clovis' beach resort to the public. Lelouch instantly recognizes Cornelia with a sour face to Shirley's dismay who mentions it to Milly as it looks like Lelouch is going to attack her. Milly, quite unsure with her explanation, replies that it is normal for a male high school student to want to be physically close to someone as sexually attractive as Cornelia, before asking Suzaku for his thoughts on this, leading him to reluctantly agree. As Nunnally wonders if Cornelia really looks that great and wonders how she achieved such a figure, Milly guesses she must have trained herself with various men in different sort of ways, shocking even Shirley with the subtext. Nunnally then decides to ask Lelouch to train her to be as great as Cornelia. Lelouch also agrees that it would be important for Nunnally to learn and that he won't hold back with her, to which Nunnally says she'll do her best to satisfy him, leading Shirley to totally take it the wrong way.

A Collection of Code Geass Season 1 Informations from Various Sources and Interviews // Canon
I've reunited in there all of the various information I couldn't fit into full fleshed out post and only kept the one with sources (that mostly came for Celiss Galvea Geass legacy), that were mentionned in various corner of the web, so there might be some missing as I don't want to share rumors/unconfirmed material. You'll be able to find the same similar Collection for R2 right there.
Tumblr media
The title “Code Geass” was a fairly last-minute decision (the tentative title was “Lelouch of the Rebellion”) The production team were in a panic over the lack of a proper title; “We need a title to design the title logo!” etc. (ura de net geass!)
An 8 hour meeting was held to determine C.C.’s name and real identity. Supposedly none of the participants ate or drank throughout the whole thing (Okouchi: “Give me something to eat!”) According to Yoshino, whenever he thought the meeting was about to come to an end, someone would start up again and the meeting would continue with no end in sight. XD . (ura de net geass)
The hero wasn't meant to be an anti hero like Lelouch, but an ace pilot, just like in most anime from SUNRISE (Taniguchi/Okouchi Interview)
At first Lelouch had white hair, Shirley had blue hair and the Ashford uniform was red, that's why some old school scans show the characters with those colors.
Tumblr media
Kallen's first name was Akira, then Kallen (Mutuality Artbook)
C.C. had a name during the creation phase, it was Sera, but nothing says it stayed the same, in Stage 11, Jun Fukuyama, Lelouch's voice actor actually spoke her real name but they decided to cut his voice during the montage. (Mutuality Artbook + DVD commentary) Yukana's voice work profile also used to say the name of her character in Geass was "Sera/Cera."
There was a classement of the boobies size of the girls of the anime which went out in a magazine and you'd be glad to learn that Milly has the biggest boobs of them all ; Lelouch's mother is a close second and Kallen takes the third spot. (Newtype)
Tumblr media
Lelouch's line in Stage 14 when he erases Shirley's memories "if there is another life…" was supposed to end up like that "…let us be lovers" but it was eventually cut out. (Shirley gave the full line in the best phrase award session stage 14 to 25 of the first DVD of season 1)
When asked about a possible romance between Lelouch and C.C.,(During S1) Taniguchi said that for that to happen, Lelouch would need to see C.C. as a human being, for he was currently seeing her as some kind of alien (That's why he was about to take a blood sample in Stage 11) (Newtype interview)
About romance, Taniguchi said there would be romantic devellopment for Lelouch in season 2 and that it was left out of season 1 to focus more on Lelouch's goals (destroy Britannia, happy world for Nunnally) and him setting up his rebellion to avoid complicating matters (pash ! interview )
Kallen's story was moved to R2 when it was announced they'd be getting a season 2, that's why she became less present within the second half of season 1 (Fake Okouchi interview)
Suzaku isn't a virgin and is said to be experienced, but we don't know who the lucky girl was ; We know his first love was an older woman, that's probably why he had some form of relationship with Cecile, even if she'll be more of a big sister than a lady mama for him eventually. (Commentary DVD of Turn 19)
Zero was meant to kiss Kallen at the end of the first season to give her courage and determination after being shaken up; she was meant to remember the scene during a fight, but the kiss was removed because Season 2 was coming and a lot of arrangments had to be made around Stage 20 (Megami Magazine /Fake Okouchi)
Kallen doesnt know how to cook, if she tries to make bread, it will turn into ashes; (Kallen's character information given to her seiyuu, Ami Koshimizu)
Jeremiah was meant to die at the beginning of season 1 but he had so much popularity within the staff (and in 2ch) that they chose to bring him back to life. Twice. (Taniguchi interview)
Zero was one of the first character to be created, Okouchi wanted a masked man because a Sunrise anime without a masked man didn't seemed right (Taniguchi x Okhawa Interview)
In case the sequel wasn’t greenlighted (they already received the OK for it back in December 2007 at least), they had an alternative route prepared for the story to take, one which would have ended the story in episode 23. It would have been a non-conclusive ending though; according to Taniguchi it was more of a “psychological” ending for Lelouch like the Evangelion Ending (Taniguchi Interview)
Kawaguchi said Lelouch had Euphemia phone number on his phone because they certainly exchanged their numbers when they met on the deserted Island. (Ura de net Geass)
Mao’s repetitive clapping didn’t exist in the scripting stages; Taniguchi was the one who later added it to make him “more annoying”. (Ura de Net Geass)
Originally, Toudou was supposed to join Lelouch’s side much earlier. They talked about the Diethard and Toudou shot in the ED. All were baffled by it; Conclusion: “Only Taniguchi knows.” (Ura de Net Geass)
Tumblr media
Stage 19 was written by Yoshino ; supposedly he requested to do it, saying “Oh well, if (Okouchi) wants me to write a script, I might as well do the island arc.” (he’s more or less the fanservice supervisor for this show) According to him (and the Newtype Taniguchi + Fu-kuyama interview), this was how Lelouch’s trap was supposed to work: Lelouch successfully digs a proper hole –> However, a boar appears behind him –> Lelouch tries to Geass it: “Lelouch Vi Britannia orders you to SIT!” –> Geass doesn’t work on animals –> Lulu Quality Tragedy ; However, Taniguchi changed it all, telling Yoshino: “Well, in the first place, Lelouch isn’t capable of digging such a hole…” (Ura de net Geass)
The reason why the writers made Kallen stand on Gawain’s shoulder instead of getting into the two-seater cockpit with Lelouch in Stage 19: “There’s no way Kallen will hand over the 2nd-pilot position to anyone else once she’s in there.” Good point. (Ura de Net Geass)
According to Tanaka, right after the airing of Stage 22, three of his friends rang him up asking “What the hell was that? I need to know what happens next!” etc...; According to Kawaguchi, “some of the viewers may have been satisfied with the handshake in episode 22, but actually, a lot more people would have been upset…” (Ura de net Geass)
After episode 23, the production team received letters from fans saying “Okouchi is so evil”, “Dark Okouchi” etc, and he didn't liked that (Ura de Net Geass)
Discarded Season 1 plotlines :
Kallen's father was first hinted as being someone important by Okouchi, when he claimed his occupation couldn't be revealed back in March 2007 (Okouchi 28 questions interview from Animage)
Suzaku was meant to have an unrequited love, and it was hinted as being an important subplot back in the day ; The hints strongly pointed at Nunnally. (Fake Okouchi)
Suzaku was meant to be linked to Geass, that's why he reacted to C.C. and to the ruins in Kamine Island, in relation to his superhuman abilities; He didn't had a Geass though (perfect Stage Mook Interview)
Cecile's seiyuu said her character had a "painful sibling relationship" in the past, and she was allowed to reveal that because it wasn't going to appear anymore within the show. Cecile's relationship to Suzaku was basically discarded) A scene with Suzaku was also seemingly cut out from Stage 20 (Magazine preview back in S1.) * What happened to Naoto (Kallen's brother) ; The writers considered bringing him back but then couldn't find a place and decided to let him stay dead (Audio commentary Stage 4 + perfect Stage mook interview)
That's about it for the various miscellanous information I could find for the first season; Now that I have gotten several of those magazines, expect more full blown articles from those whenever I'll have more time.
Hope you enjoyed.

Sayoko's Diary 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 //DVD specials // Canon.
Tumblr media
Sayoko's Diary #1 : The Maid Sees All !
The first Sayoko diary relates her meeting with Suzaku, the night where Lelouch brought Suzaku home to meet Nunnally again. Sayoko knows him as the man who was exonerated from Clovis's murder by Zero. As they enjoy a nice dinner and joked about how they switched situations with Suzaku not being the host anymore, we get back to Sayoko who is struggling to carry a huge ammount of trash bags filled with empty cans she collected for this day; Suzaku comes in, looking for the washrooms and propose his help when he realises she is struggling; as she refuses he still tried to help and…cause a bag of cans to empty itself on the floor. As they pick up the cans together, their hands accidentally touch and Sayoko notice how warm his hand his (Suzaku's charm on older ladies is unmatched <_<) Suzaku then attempts to introduce himself but she already knows who he is, and as he asks her who she is she introduces herself; After that Suzaku tried to get to know her and question her on her job, on her happiness, on her dreams, and if it was the life she wanted before Japan became Area 11.
Eventually they manage to end up picking up the cans and Suzaku is about to go and throw those in the trash; They still have a small exchange, around how they are both japanese and Suzaku who wants to reduce the distance between them, as Sayoko is too polite/distant, and he proposes her to call him Su-san. As he leave before she can react, he thank her for the delicious meal and he is gone.
After he is gone, with a very dere dere voice, Sayoko whisper "Su-san" (Damn Suzaku and his attractiveness) ; Then she begins to daydream, making her personal profile "Shinozaki Sayoko, 24 years old, and begins to wonder about what she is feeling currently (This is…Love ?!)
We then jump to another day where Soayoko is daydreaming about Suzaku when she hears Lelouch talking to him; As she rushed to her window to yell "Su -saaaaan" she is interrupted by a talk between Suzaku and Lelouch where Suzaku asks Lelouch to pretend he doesn't know him at school, so he doesn't get into trouble; Lelouch tries to counter but as you can imagine the whole talk seems suggestive and Sayoko ends up thinking….Suzaku and Lelouch are in a relationship ! Sayoko is dumbstruck and thinks she now knows their secret.
Sayoko's Diary #2 : The Maid Sees All !
As there isn't much work today, I decided to go thoroughly clean up Lelouch-sama's room...
...or at least planned to.
Since Lelouch-sama's room is characteristically methodical, the lack of garbage is a given, and there's not even a single strand of hair on the floor. Or anywhere else, for that matter.
The bedsheets are the same as they were when I changed them yesterday----no, they're even cleaner than before, and there's not a single wrinkle on the bed covers.
I think it's stupid to judge people solely based on their blood type, but
...A-type men are indeed scary.
There wasn't much of anything to do, so I lay down on the floor and had a little afternoon nap. Then, I checked under the bed, but though he's a high school student, there's nothing hidden there.
No, no, that's an amateur attendent's way of thinking. With that methodical, perfectionist principle iron-walled weakness-hiding personality, he'd never see a place so common as 'under the bed' as valid for secrets. Then again, he wouldn't do things other people would like hiding stuff in the refrigerator just to be unpredictable, either. If Lelouch-sama is to hide anything...
No. I shouldn't write these things in a diary.
By the time I opened my eyes, it was already dusk. The sunset I saw through the window reminded me of when I was still a little girl.
I remember seeing a much more beautiful sunset than this sky.
When I stopped to stand and look at that sky, Mother would pull my hand and scream 'run faster!' to me. Nobody around us bothered to look at the sunset, they were all running. Running for their lives.
That day, too, was the sunset for Japan.
I'll never forget how beautiful that day's sunset was for my entire life.
Even if I die, even if I become ashes in the wind, I'll never forget.
Sayoko's Diary #3 : The Maid sees All !
I wonder if those who break taboos are those shouldering an inordinate amount of mental anguish and distress---------
Lelouch-sama ordered me to never clean his room one morning, a few days before Suzaku-san came to the academy. "Lelouch-sama is an adolescent maturing into an adult, and is therefore currently in a sensitive phase" was how I interpreted it, as this is an exceedingly common occurrence. ...However, now that I think about it, that was a shallow notion and I should have given more thought to it.
Sounds were heard coming out of Lelouch-sama's room even though no one was supposed to be in there, so I knocked on the door. There was no reply, and at once the word "burglar" crossed my mind. Come to think of it, Lelouch-sama told me not to clean his room, but he never said anything about not entering it. In a situation like this, protecting the house while everyone else is away is of the utmost priority. Having come to that conclusion I mustered up my courage and opened the door.
----------The scene I was presented with was so shocking I felt as though my eyes had been drilled through.
The bedsheets were rumpled, and for some reason the room was enveloped with the smell of cheese. What's more, I was shocked to see what were obviously white, female clothings hanging on the wall, and long boots carelessly kicked off on the bed...
I had no idea puberty was capable of changing a person to such an extent. It seems that Lelouch-sama has already made his foray into the territory exclusive to maniacs obsessed with altering one's appearances. ("Henshin", literally "to change one's body") Now that I think about it, Lelouch-sama has not been home much lately and has been doing a lot of whispering over the phone. If I think of his recent behaviour as him conversing with like-minded people who share his peculiar values and then going out to attend assemblies specially for such people, it all makes sense. Not to mention there's been a rumour going around about Lelouch-sama's "embarassing photos" after the cat incident the other day. (Episode 6)
From a young age the 2 siblings have had no one else to rely on but each other, and Lelouch has always given it his all without once uttering a single word of complaint. It is precisely because of this that, even if Lelouch-sama has one or two unspeakable interests, I will absolutely never look down on him. However, even so, should the other members of the Student Council or the naive Suzaku find out about Lelouch and his crossdressing fetish, the astronomical gap ( The "gap" here is the inconsistency between Lelouch's cool, popular with the girls appearance and his supposed crossdressing fetish) will surely shock them senseless. To say nothing of Nunnally-sama finding out; I cannot even begin to imagine the confusion and bewilderment she will feel towards the only relative left to her now...
I swear an oath right here and now. I must conceal Lelouch-sama's secret awakening no matter what. (It's something like a spiritual awakening... though obviously not spiritual in this sense >__>) I will protect Lelouch-sama's sole source of solace to the very end.
*end Sayoko's diary*
Sayoko's Diary #4: The Maid Sees All !
The resistance group known as "The Black Knights" is currently causing a great stir. Neither the Japan Liberation Front nor terrorists, this Resistance protects the defenseless weak from the threats of those armed with weapons; it is a principle upheld without concern for ideologies. The leader of these "Black Knights" is the man who murdered Prince Clovis, a masked man going by the name "Zero". Why does "Zero" wear a mask...? The "Noh" extracurricular lesson I was shown during my primary school days suddenly comes to mind. (Noh as in the classical japanese dance drama) Back then, I had been somewhat afraid of that expressionless Noh mask. To my understanding, in this particular form of art, the mask worn allows the discarding of both personality and name, and as such emotions and thoughts are brought into stark relief. Indeed, when denouncing something anonymously, or conversing with those whose faces cannot be seen, our character and feelings will inevitably manifest themselves as exhibits of crassness and insensitivity. Perhaps "Zero", too, acquires his wings, the freedom to express himself and carry out justice, only when he is behind his mask; If that is indeed the truth, what then is "Zero" searching for, vacillating in the dark interval between his mask and real face? ...I see, Perhaps the desire to alter his appearances that has burgeoned forth in Lelouch-sama too, was born of the same providence as "Zero"'s mask. ("Providence" is Sayoko's exact word-choice, and didn't make much sense in the original sentence either.) Perhaps it is only when Lelouch-sama is in the white clothing and long boots carelessly discarded about his room that he is able to discover his "true self" in the mirror. Still, just between the two of us, it appears that of late, Lelouch-sama has stopped limiting himself to crossdressing and has even gone on to cat suits, further expanding the scope of his deep interests. From the opposite sex to animals.... just where, exactly, is Lelouch-sama heading for...? ( From crossdressing to beastiality... oh my!) Nay. I shall stop writing such things in my diary. It is now 2 in the morning, and that is the reason I've begun to think in such a contentious manner. Petals scatter from the flower vase in the wake of my sigh. Tomorrow I will work out a little and make an effort to sleep well at night. (END)
Sayoko's Diary #5: The Maid Sees All !
I've been wondering lately; Has Lelouch-sama no interest in girls whatsoever? I returned to their quarters in the early afternoon, after having attended to my affairs. Once there, Shirley-sama's voice could be heard coming in through the window. Shirley-sama was getting all fired up on her own, saying things like "I did it!" and "He'll come, right?`"; It appears that Shirley-sama has finally decided to check Lelouch. (Check as in "checkmate". This is Sayoko's exact word-choice; I couldn't think of a more poetic way of saying this in English, so I left it as it is.) (The following is an addendum written in defense of my honour. I am absolutely not indulging in the act of prying into and second-guessing what goes on in the love affairs of young men and women. My having overheard Shirley, who had been shouting to herself rather loudly, was nothing more than a coincidence.) However, Lelouch-sama was still his usual self. Admittedly, Lelouch-sama isn't one to show his agitations nor mood on his face. Still, the spring of our lives lies in the blossoming love stories experienced during our adolescence, around the age of 17 or 18. And yet Lelouch-sama is going through that critical period without showing the least hint of interest... Today, as with all days, Lelouch, upon his return, headed straight for Nunnally's room and the both of them were soon talking in whispers. At that very moment I had brought them Nunnally's medicine, but as Lelouch and Nunnally-sama were hand-in-hand and engaged in their own impenetrable, tender world, I simply could not bear to disturb the both of them... Could it be that... Lelouch-sama's secret doesn't stop at his desire to alter his appearance? Nunnally-sama once told me that long ago, she and Euphie-sama, a lady of noble birth, fought over Lelouch-sama. It isn't unheard of for young girls who think the world of their family members to confuse their feelings for love and speak of marriage. ...But could it be that this beautiful misunderstanding still exists between the two siblings? With no means of escape from that miniature garden, is it not possible that, unable to direct them anywhere else, Lelouch-sama is sublimating the three major desires of adolescence by immersing himself in the unique pleasure acquired through the act of crossdressing...? Nay. I shall stop writing such delusional nonsense in my diary. Tonight as well, the aroma of baked cheese wafts from Lelouch-sama's room. It is precisely times like these that I must pull myself together... (END)
Sayoko's Diary #6 :The Maid Sees All !
I hear that the man who was brandishing a chainsaw in Clovisland is now under police custody. That amusement park has a jinx on it, one that goes: "Couples who come here will break up". The following is something I heard from a friend of mine, currently working part-time at Clovisland. It concerns a blonde highschool student who keeps going to marriage interviews and coming to the park on dates, with a different man each time. It appears that this lady does not fancy the sort of rides that are said to "become picturesque when a lady is on it", such as Merry-Go-Rounds and Swan Lake Boats. Of these attractions, there is one; the Coffee Cup, to be specific -- which the lady, surprisingly, likes, but it seems that her manner of enjoying it is fairly difficult to swallow. She puts her back into spinning the steering wheel in front of her, spinning the cup round and round ; I used to do this as well during my teenage years, but in her case it doesn't stop there. The lady in the Ashford uniform has acquired an idea of fun that clearly does not belong to this world; she steps on the brakes with incredible force while the cup is still spinning, channels all her efforts into having it spin the other way and other such unbelievable acts. The man on board with her ended up dashing to the toilet the very second he got off -- and that isn't even the half of it. She rocks the ferris wheel gondola, just to see whether it is possible to have it do a complete 360 turn. While driving the Go-cart, she puts the attendant in a spot by insisting she "wants to try driving through". On the jetcoaster (jetcoaster = rollercoaster), she screams "My teeth are dryyyy!?", causing the other passengers to burst into laughter. She pedals the Sky Cycle like she means it, with the intended consequence of terrifying and urging on the cyclist in front of her. In the Haunted House, she chases after the part-timer playing the role of the monster, teases him and doesn't let up until tears are shed. Over at the Kids' Zoo, she feeds the Student Council register to the goats, thereby ensuring the absolute confidentiality of all personal information in it... Everything I have described thus far is considered by this lady, whose grandfather is rumoured to be the chairman of a school somewhere, as a "lovely way to enjoy things". Once, when she got on the Panda, one of the Melody Pets rides, and challenged her date on the Lion to a game of Chicken, those who were there to see it claimed that they "felt as thought they had caught a glimpse of the shadowy side of the Britannian empire". Moreover, her casting her utterly incomprehensible "Guts!" spell at the man as he leapt off the Lion for dear life was such a frightening sight that not only the children but the parents, too, were left quaking in its wake. The talk of a marriage interview has come up again for this lady, or so I've heard. I'm sure this will be the start of a new page in history for Clovisland, of which its legendary reputation as the "Land of Separation" is currently being secretly circulated as the truth. As for the man who will be brought to that park of love, oblivious to the fate awaiting him -- I'd like to send a prayer out to him from the bottom of my heart. (The "Park of Love" can also be translated as "Garden of Love", but since it's a themepark and all, I decided to stick with "park" even though "garden" sounds better. It's something of a wordplay in Japanese.) (END)

Animedia Interview post Stage 23 of Season 1 (During the 2 month pause that preceeded the airing of Stage 24 and 25)
**Will indicate Celiss (still the translator)'s personal note
Tumblr media
Is it true that the Emperor is invading countries because he is looking for (Geass) “ruins”?
In episode 19, General Bartley said “The Emperor decides which country to invade going by the location of the ruins” (**I’m not sure how gg (the fansub team) translated this). It is unclear whether this is truly the motive behind the invasions, but as the General has been investigating this for a long time, his statement that there are other such ruins, at least, must be true. Since a gigantic Geass mark surfaced on the Kaminejima ruins, it appears that it is somehow connected with the Geass. (**Well duh)
What exactly is the “Mental Elevator” (Intellevator) the Emperor mentioned?
This is still very much a mystery. However, because this is something coming from the Emperor, it may have to do with the mystery of the ruins he is said to be searching for. (**…Double duh)
What is the 2nd Imperial Prince Schneizel looking for?
Bartley and co. are picking up where Clovis left off with his investigations, which is why they went to Kaminejima. It seems that they have a vague suspicion on what the Emperor’s objectives are, and intend to get a jump on him. At this stage this is all we are able to infer. It is probable that there is a certain something the Britannian royalty all wish to obtain. (**…? Immortality? Pizza? And Schneizel vs Emperor, go! If Schneizel isn’t a bad guy, or had nothing to do with Marianne’s assassination, Lelouch should just team up with him already >__> With Suzaku, the Emperor would be dead in a day)
After episode 23, what will become of Britannia’s “Area 11”?
As we have just reached the part where the next step of the battle would be to destroy the Britannian government office (the palace-like building with flags), the answer to this question will have to depend on the outcome. Should the Black Knights triumph, Japan may have its rights restored while the Britannians may be forced into a vulnerable position this time around. (**Take away all their cellphones! That’ll teach 'em!) However, both the Chinese Federation and the EU, names which have repeatedly come up in the show, are both keeping an eye on the situation. How these two forces will act is something to look out for in the future.
What happened to “Good Morning’d” Orange?
I too am surprised. Even though it’s amazing that he’s made a reappearance in the show, it’s “Good Morning’d” after all. (**Meaning the line destroyed the serious, cool mood of the scene XD) It seems that after the Narita battle, he was picked up (**in the same sense you pick up rubbish / abandoned animals), turned into a subject for experiments and then modified. I’m sure many viewers have already realized what happened because his silhouette is in the OP. The resurrected Orange can’t be beaten ! (**Literal translation = “is the strongest”)
What happened to Shirley’s “memories” erased by the Geass?
Basically, those memories will not return. The Geass works only once. Having seen the memo with her own handwriting, Shirley made her own inferences and somehow managed to grasp the truth of the situation. Although there was a subtle scene in episode 23 where she reacted to the name “Lulu”, with the situation becoming increasingly hectic, her chances of meeting Lelouch again will diminish. (**What does this mean? She’s not going to get her chance to confront Lelouch about the truth after running away from it in episode 22?)
Tumblr media
Will Kallen’s real identity never be revealed to her friends in school?
Although Suzaku already knows about it, he didn’t say a thing about it in school, so as long as Suzaku and Kallen herself keep quiet no one will know. However, in episodes 24 and 25 Kallen, along with Zero, may storm the government office. What will become of the school when the settlement becomes a battlefield…!? (**Are they hinting that the school will be in danger –> Black Knights come to the rescue –> Kallen’s identity is finally revealed?)
If the settlement is attacked, what will become of Nunnally and Arthur?
In episode 23, it appears that the school is still somewhat safe and peaceful. Although Nunnally was frightened, she still has “the mysterious” Sayoko-san with her. Sayoko was told by Diethard to Stay as you are and wait for further orders.” (**Episode 21) Things should be alright. Is Arthur with them!? (**No, he’s obviously outside taking down mechs left and right) However, should Japan achieve independence, Britannian schools would be in danger.
Will “Chigusa”-san join the Black Knights?
Chigusa-san = Villetta. She’s currently cohabiting with Ougi and living a life reminiscent of the Showa period (**…loving couple, wife waiting at home etc...) he octopus wieners she made for Ougi’s bentou truly had a lot of impact. However, because her memories disappeared not because of the Geass, they will return someday. With that the two of them will become mutual enemies, which will make things difficult.
** There was a caption near the lower text that says “There is no way a Britannian female Knight will pass all her days living a lovey-dovey life in secret. But don’t cry, Ougi!!” (**I… want to see him cry >__>)
When will C.C. give the OK to Lelouch the Geass use r? (**This is the literal translation of the question; it seems that what the question is trying to ask is: Exactly what does Lelouch need to do in order to fulfil the terms of the contract?)
This is far from clear. It seems that C.C. sealed the contract with Lelouch with a certain objective in mind. This contract is valid until that goal is reached. (**Does this mean that once her wish is fulfilled, she can / will take Lelouch’s Geass away from him?) For Lelouch, his goals are to defeat Britannia and the Emperor and also to create a happy world for Nunnally; However, what C.C. stands to gain from these goals of his remains a mystery.
Is Wall h4x Suzaku’s (**okay, so it actually says wall-runner Suzaku) physical prowess that of a normal human being’s?
Yes, he’s a normal human being. It’s just that he possesses extraodinary physical capabilites. It seems that his excellent Knightmare piloting skills has to do with him being unexpectedly compatible with Lancelot, and nothing more than that. Lloyd of the Special Dispatch was quick to notice this. (**…? What about Fake Okouchi and Real Okouchi’s previous hints about there being a secret behind his abnormal physical strength? Unless this answer is supposed to be a red herring?)
***Fake Okouchi was Okouchi's pseudonym when he made an incursion in the famous japanese forum 2ch and distributed fake and real spoilers about the show (more like the last 2 episode of season 1, I'll make a post about those as well.)
With Euphie dead, is Suzaku’s mental state alright?
He can’t be alright, can he? That’s not the usual him. If you listen carefully he said “Ore” (**? He was still Boku-Suzaku during the phone conversation though, but I might have missed him saying “Ore” in episode 23), even though he had been using “boku”. However, it seems that that is Suzaku’s original personality. Up till now he’s been faking his personality because of what happened with his father. He can no longer continue his facade now that he’s snapped. Rather than saying that he will be somewhat like a beast from here on, it would be more appropriate to say we will be able to see Suzaku’s real personality.
Why is it that up until the very end, Suzaku still doesn’t have a “cellphone”?
It’s because there is a clear rule regarding this; Elevens and Honorary Britannians are not allowed to have one. It’s a Britannian rule. This was probably decided in order to nip any possible insurrection in the bud. Also explains why Cecile-san had to personally come and get Suzaku (**in episode 17)
After episode 23, what will Suzaku’s next move be?
To take revenge ? For Euphie. Against Zero! Perhaps he isn’t thinking about the future at all. Although he’s fighting as a Honorary Britannian, it seems that he’s just rushing headlong into the battle with personal grudges to settle. However, he pretty much cannot die due to the “Live!” Geass on him. A rather painful future may be awaiting him.
Who is more amazing? Suzaku vs Lelouch 10-point showdown!
1. Knightmare piloting skills: Suzaku 2. Hunting ability: Suzaku 3. Game skills: Lelouch 4. How they treat Nunnally: Lelouch 5. Popularity with the girls: Tie 6. Popularity with the guys: Suzaku 7. Studies (Science/Maths): Lelouch 8. Studies (Humanities/Arts): Lelouch 9. Independence (Cooking): Suzaku 10. Independence (Money concept): Lelouch
Lelouch wins 5-4.
** Celiss add on: Lelouch is actually pretty good at cooking (**It’s part of his official character profile, IIRC; Sayoko also mentions this in her Diary section for DVD vol 2’s booklet) Some of the reasonings behind the Lelouch vs Suzaku results are pretty nonsensical, actually. For example: Independence (Cooking skill): Suzaku Lulu has been feeding Nunnally ever since their childhood days. His cooking skills are absolutely perfect. Suzaku received a strange Onigiri (Cecile’s) Therefore… …What does that have to do with cooking skills? >__> If anything that only proves Suzaku isn’t human. As for Popularity with Girls, it’s a tie because while Lelouch may have a hidden fanclub at school (I forgot who said this… FO?), Suzaku is popular with older women. This is also part of his official character profile; Suzaku admits it himself in the booklet for DVD vol. 03. However, he denies being attracted to them, but considering his first love (a house maid) happened when he was 3 years old… >__> Suzaku wins in the Popularity with Guys section because Lelouch doesn’t really mix around with other students, only with his fellow Student Council members. This isn’t really fair considering Suzaku probably has a hard time getting along with other classmates as well, but I guess that all changed after Euphemia knighted him. Though I think if it had been Zero vs Suzaku Zero would have won hands down. Zero has Diethard (Obsessed stalker), Tamaki (Tsundere) and Orange (also a stalker when you think about it >__>)

Okhawa Nanase (From Clamp) x Taniguchi Gorou interview From Newtype About the Character designs of Code Geass (Season 1)
There were seemingly Okhawa-san designs appearing on the magazine to illustrate the interview but I was unable to find the source or the againe, so i'll illustrate this interview with Mokona Apapa's final Geass designs **Will indicate Celiss (still the translator)'s personal note "...." Will mean those are direct quote she didn't rephrase.
*******************
Suzaku originally had a "sharper” look to him. Ookawa : “Originally I imagined him as having Chinese-like, sharp, single-eyelid eyes.” Taniguchi : “In order to have Lelouch stand out more, I had this design changed to a softer, rounder image.”
Tumblr media
On the early design for Lelouch (white hair) Ookawa : “I imagined Lelouch as someone everyone will find to be "cool”; a beauty, to put it simply.“ Taniguchi : "We talked about Tackey & Tsubasa as well as early Kinki Kids.” (Popular Johnny’s idols in Japan)
Tumblr media
Ookawa attended the Episode 1 sneak preview / test screening; according to her, a large number of reporters and other mass media-related personnel showed up as well because of the pre-show hype. When the 1st episode ended, the room went dead silent. With the fast-moving plot and the episode ending with Lelouch going “Die, all of you” as he Geasses the soldiers into killing themselves, everyone was left speechless. However, the momentary silence was later broken by tremendous applause. Taniguchi himself wasn’t at the screening, but he heard about what happened as well.
How did CLAMP come to be part of the Code Geass project? Producer Kawaguchi was the one who wrote to them first. That was the first time CLAMP heard from him, and also the first time they received a request to design characters for an anime. The members only met the director more than a year later; They were already on board the project when the characters and world view were nothing more than a vague concept. CLAMP offered some “interesting ideas” and these helped shape the world of Code Geass.
The character illustrations shown on the page (not the ones i'm using there) are preliminary designs; When these were first drawn Code Geass wasn’t about a war with an Empire but something different. Taniguchi said “We’re making a hit show”, and wanted to create a show which appealed to everyone. They ended up using the Johnny’s artistes (Tackey & Tsubasa; early Kinki Kids) as a sort of model for the characters (**probably for Lelouch; those Johnny’s artistes are usually thought of as “Prince” types, especially early Domoto Kouichi of Kinki Kids)
Tumblr media
The character “Zero” was decided from early on, and is one of the characters left unchanged even when they adjusted the story. CLAMP members call Zero’s mask “Tulip” (because of it’s appearance) They wanted to create a mask never seen before in previous Sunrise shows. They were told to create a mask showing only one eye, and there were two possibilities for that, the other being the masks used in palaces (**…which kind of palace? Asian or Western? I'd say Western) Taniguchi : “When I saw Zero’s mask, my thought processes all came to a halt (laugh) It was extremely simple yet had impact.” The biggest merit of having CLAMP do the designs is that, according to Taniguchi, they can come up with things normal animator-turned-designers can’t. The clothes, for example, may seem impossible (**coughZeroandC.C.‘scostumescough*), but CLAMP still went ahead with them anyway with the simple reasoning that : “These are better!”
Tumblr media
How did the designing process work? CLAMP members drew a certain number of illustrations, handed them to Taniguchi and he would later return it to them with his own comments. The designs would be changed according to his wishes and the cycle repeated. The comments ranged from “I want you to redraw just this part” to “I want you to add this part of the character with this part of that character and come up with a new character.” Taniguchi pretty much gave CLAMP free reign over the designs, telling them not to worry about what the CG world was like, and because of that they came up with all kinds of variations, from SF to Classical, for things like the military uniforms. There were altogether some 40 ~ 50 designs; C.C. also had traditional Japanese clothes as well as Western Barbie-style clothes. (**Now we know why C.C. cosplays so much. Taniguchi probably included them because he thought it would be a waste not to…) ***It's also interesting to note C.C.'s royal gown which appeared in the Mutuality artbook wasn't a command from the staff, Clamp made this one of their own, C.C. really was their favorite doll to dress.
Tumblr media
Ookawa : “Taniguchi doesn’t like girls with big breasts.” (**This is true; Taniguchi is famous for being anti-fanservice. He supposedly hates “jiggling chests” the most, but it seems that since GunxSword he’s had to compromise on this area because frankly, sex sells) Ookawa : “Even though I drew all kinds of female figures and body shapes, only the flat-chested designs were returned.” (The unreturned designs = No Good) Taniguchi: “It’s not that those aren’t allowed (laugh) It’s just that when you transfer them on to the screen it usually ends up even more exaggerated, so I wanted to keep the original designs under control, at least.”
Tumblr media
Taniguchi also likes having characters who have something different on one side of their bodies (**the “unbalanced” balance) Lelouch has one red eye, for example; Villetta’s and Jeremiah’s hairstyles also fall under this category. Taniguchi : “I like it. It’s sexy, don’t you think?” Ookawa : “You like characters with sex appeal, huh.” Taniguchi : “Sex appeal is important. CLAMP’s characters are all sexy. That’s another reason why we decided to request designs from you.”
Before doing the character designs, KimuTaka (Takahiro Kimura the other character designer of the Geass anime) spent every day copying CLAMP’s art from their artbooks and manga. After analyzing CLAMP’s art to his best ability, he then started on the character designs. He did his best to design them in a way so that the other animators would be able to draw them without deviating from CLAMP’s original artstyle.
According to Ookawa, Schneizel was designed with “Lelouch’s arch nemesis” in mind. The most time was spent on his design. Taniguchi wanted someone who could appear either good or bad and had a large sense of scale (**2 meters… okay so he probably wasn’t referring to height, but still)
Tumblr media
Lloyd is the professor-type CLAMP is good at (**Ookawa’s own confession), but originally he wasn’t supposed to be that much of a mad scientist. It happened mostly because of Shiratori Tetsu’s acting (**In the audio commentary for episode 1 Taniguchi mentions that he gave Shiratori free reign over Lloyd’s character) Ookawa was surprised when Lloyd turned out the way he did.
Which characters do the CLAMP members like? Mokona (**she did the final character original art you can see on this post ) liked Clovis, so when she saw that he was offed after only 2 episodes she was really depressed. According to Ookawa, Clovis was killed off a lot earlier than originally planned. Taniguchi apologizes for this, and then remarks that Jeremiah, on the other hand, has survived longer than originally planned. (**The power of 2ch, indeed, as he was really popular in there and within the staff)
Tumblr media
Taniguchi: “If you rewatch the first half of the show after watching episode 23, you might discover new things you didn’t see before.” He refuses to say what these things are, saying that this is an enjoyment exclusive to viewers who noticed themselves. (** He is talking about season 1)
Okouchi was the one who insisted that a mask was necessary in order for it to be a Sunrise anime.
Ookawa : “Director Taniguchi is someone who makes it clear what his likes and dislikes are, and this really helped our work. I like Cornelia, and I hope she can be happy.” (**I’m sure she’ll get along well with Fu-kuyama, that crazy Cornelia fan)
Ookawa seems to be a Lelouch fan. She says that she worries whenever Lelouch does something stupid or uses the Geass in a wasteful manner.

The Origin of Britannia Part 1
Lelouch: So here’s the first session. Suzaku: You haven’t changed, Lelouch. I don’t think people will understand what this session is for. Lelouch: I don’t need those who don’t understand. You can only learn if you’re prepared to learn! Suzaku: I’m not sure about those Zero-influenced lines… Oh, but you were always easily influenced as a child. You used to imitate superheroes. Lelouch: Stop talking about something so long ago! Suzaku: But aren’t we talking about history today? We have to talk about long ago. Lelouch: Urgh… being a smart aleck? I’m leaving. Suzaku: Sorry, so sorry. I’m ready to learn, Professor Lelouch. Lelouch: Good. Then tell me. Do you know when Britannia was formed? Suzaku: Of course. This year is 2017 of the Imperial Calendar, so it was 2017 years ago. Lelouch: Wrong. Suzaku: What? But the Imperial Calendar — “a.t.b.” means “Ascension Throne Britannia,” meaning “the year Britannia assumed the throne,” right? Lelouch: It seems you did your homework. I’m impressed. Suzaku: It’s common knowledge. Besides, I was tested during the Honorary Britannian appointment. Lelouch: Then, the grounds of the ascension? Suzaku: Um… I think it was triggered when Julius Caesar tried to invade… Lelouch: That’s right. And one of the Celtic tribal kings who resisted is said to be the ancestor of the Britannian Royal Family. He gained freedom from Rome and was coronated — although it was more like becoming a chieftan — that year is the first year of the Imperial Calendar. Now, what’s the name of this king? Suzaku: Um……… I give up. Lelouch: Hey, Suzaku! You don’t have this simple information!? It’s on the next test! Suzaku: Well, I was busy, so… Lelouch: Then look it up by the next time we meet. Got it?
youtube
The Origin of Britannia Part 2
Lelouch: So Suzaku, I’m assuming you did your homework. Suzaku: Of course, Lelouch. Here. Lelouch: Alwin I, eh? Yes, you’re correct. You pass! Suzaku: But people won’t understand what we’re talking about just from this! Lelouch: I, Lelouch, order you. If you want to know, buy the first volume of the DVD! Suzaku: You’re so easily influenced. Anyway… Alwin I is known to be the ancestor of the Britannian Royal Family. He gained freedom from Rome and became the first chieftan, and that year is the year Britannia was formed. I’m right, aren’t I? Lelouch: For now, yes. Then can you tell me who was the Emperor of Rome at the time? Suzaku: … I give up. Lelouch: It was Augustus. Remember that. Now, this Alwin I is only a figure from a legend and there is no proof that he existed. The history of the Empire, the “Britannia Chronology,” indicates that he really existed, but this chronology was created when the Holy Empire of Britannia was founded. So when they founded the empire is when they stuck on the legacy of the Royal Family’s blood as an afterthought to assure their ascension. It’s common in kingship and imperialism. Suzaku: So when am I supposed to recognize when Britannia was founded? Lelouch: I guess you can regard Britannia’s beginnings to be when the descendents of the Tudor family line who went to the New World ended and the Duke of Britannia started the imperial regime. The Imperial Calendar was established then too. It extended back in history and set the first year as a thousand and a couple hundred years ago. Suzaku: I see. Lelouch: Now, do you know when that year was? And who was the emperor who was coronated? Suzaku: Imperial Calendar 1813. The Emperor was Ricardo van Britannia I. Lelouch: Correct. It looks like you studied hard. Suzaku: Yeah. Cecile helped me too. Lelouch: Cecile? Who’s that? Suzaku: My superior of the department I’m in. Lelouch: A woman, eh? You’re good at debauching as always. Suzaku: Debauch… that’s not true! Lelouch: You were always good at getting older women to like you. Suzaku: I’m not doing it on purpose! Besides, why are you bringing up the past like that? Lelouch: Huh? You said it first. That we’re discussing “history.” Suzaku: Urgh…
**I didn't find the videos for the other History Lessons so you'll just have the translation from now on **

The Virgin Queen Elizabeth
Milly: What are you two doing? Suzaku: Oh, hello. I’m learing Britannian history from Lelouch. Milly: I see. But if it’s history, you should ask me. You know that my character’s description is “has a great knowledge in history and will cooly observe the changing world with Zero’s presence.” Lelouch: That description is way old. There’s no hint of it anywhere. Milly: Oh, Lelouch. You are so cheeky. Don’t you agree? Suzaku: Uh, um… I can’t say much there (sweat). Milly: Oh well. Even without that in my description, I’m good at history. The Ashford family has nobility in its line, after all. Lelouch: Formerly, you mean. Milly: Oh, shush. Whose fault do you think that is? Lelouch: Urgh… (sweating heavily). Well, anyway. It’s a good opportunity to ask the president if you have any questions, Suzaku. Suzaku: Let’s see… then can you tell me about the era of absolute monarchism — about the Elizabeth I from the Tudor dynasty? She’s called the Virgin Queen, but isn’t it weird that she has a chld? Milly: That names comes from the fact that she was single for her whole life. There’s her famous line, “I have already joined myself in marriage to a husband — my country.” Suzaku: But she has a kid. Was it Henry IX? Milly: Yes. Bluntly speaking, it was an illegitimate child. Elizabeth I didn’t marry, but she had many lovers. The Earl of Leicester, Earl of Essex and the Duke of Britannia are among the possible fathers. She switched between lovers all of her life. I’m a little jealous. Lelouch: So she was an Amazon. Like someone we know. Milly: What was that, Lelouch? What are you trying to say? Suzaku: I think he meant that you are similar to Elizabeth I. Lelouch: Hey, Suzaku, shut up! You idiot! Milly: I see. By the way, Vice President, did you finish the documents I asked for? Lelouch: No, I’ve been busy lately… I’ll have it done by tomorrow’s deadline. Milly: I changed my mind. I want it now. Lelouch: That’s high-handed, President! Milly: Call me Queen!

Sakuradite and the Age of Exploration
Suzaku: Unh… Shirley: What’s wrong, Suzaku? Are you constipated? Suzaku: Yeah, I feel so bloated… Hey, what are you making me say, Shirley? Shirley: Hee hee. I’ve been hanging around the President too long. But I’m surprised that you could kid around like that. Suzaku: Lelouch trains me well, doesn’t he? Shirley: You guys are really close… I’m so jealous. So, why were you groaning? Suzaku: This. “In (a)’s ‘Description of the World,’ he describes a country known as Jipang, meaning Japan, and that it is a golden island. But it is foolish to think that this country was rich in gold; rather, it was rich in (b). At the time in Europe, research that was inspired by © led to the discovery of an energy source but there was not enough of it, and this hindered the progress. (a)’s 'Discovery of the World’ moved the people to explore the world and eventually led to the discovery of the former United States, currently the conquered territory of Britannia.” Shirley: Let’s see… “Fill in the blanks. If you can.” What is this? Why does this worksheet sound so condescending? Suzaku: Lelouch made it. All of his worksheets are like this. Shirley: Oh, Lulu… (laugh) So the answer to “a” is “Marco Polo,” b is “Sakuradite,” and c is “alchemy.” Suzaku: Wow, you’re good in history! Shirley: No, I’m ot. But I’m good with minerals and geosciences. My father is a geologist. He works in the bureau and he goes around investigating geological conditions. Suzaku: I see… Shirley: But this worksheet really shows Lulu’s personality. Suzaku: Yeah, but I wish… it would show a little more love. Shirley: What are you talking about? It shows a ton of love! Lulu would never do this for anyone he didn’t care for. I’m really jealous now. Suzaku: Why don’t you tell him that you like him? Shirley: Well… huh!? How do you know that I… Suzaku: It’s actually quite obvious. I think the only one who doesn’t know is Lelouch. Shirley: I’ll tell him myself eventually! So please don’t tell him. Promise? Suzaku: Of course. Shirley: Thanks!

The Rebellion of Washington
Lelouch: ~~ ♪ C.C.: You’re in an awfully good mood. Humming, eh? Lelouch: !! Oh, I didn’t know you were there, C.C. C.C.: Why are you so flustered? … Huh? What’s that? Lelouch: It’s none of your buisness. C.C.: Let’s see… “Write the reason why the Rebellion of Washington in the Colonies ended in failure in 1770 a.t.b. in 1,200 words.” Is this homework? But it’s odd that you’re making the worksheet… Lelouch: It’s for Suzaku. Just go away! C.C.: The Rebellion of Washington… that was a long time ago. It’s easy. It’s because Ben betrayed the Continental Congress. Lelouch: Ben? C.C.: Oh, sorry, I mean Benjamin Franklin. Lelouch: Why can’t you just call him the Earl of Franklin? Yes, it’s true that Franklin went to France to ask Louis XVI to support their independence and failed. But that’s not the main reason they lost, is it? C.C.: Well, Louis was willing to help. But when Ben went to France, he met the Duke of Britannia. And he was offered a title and some land in the Colonies, and fell for it. Ben is the type who prefers research to war… he was a kind man. No, too kind. If Ben had asked Louis for support, Louis would’ve given them an army and the Continental Army wouldn’t have lost in Yorktown. And George — I mean, Washington — wouldn’t have died and America wouldn’t have become territorialized. Lelouch: The Duke of Britannia was involved!? That’s not in any of the history materials! C.C.: But it’s the truth. Lelouch: … You talk as if you saw it happen. Could you have possibly…!? C.C.: I’m C.C. I know everything. For example, I can name the song you were just humming. Lelouch: !!!!! C.C.: Was it from 8 years ago? The special effects fighting show that aired on Sunday mornings in Japan. Lelouch: Okay! I got it! Shut up! Sheesh, you’re such a… C.C.: You’re still naive, Lelouch. You can’t beat me in a thousand years. Lelouch: Do you mean figuratively? C.C.: Hee hee. Who knows?
Tumblr media
The Humiliation at Edinburgh Lelouch: Good. Good. Damn. Good. Suzaku: Lelouch, can you stop correcting my worksheet out loud? Lelouch: No. Suzaku: Why not!? Lelouch: It’s fun watching your reaction when you get something wrong. Suzaku: Lelouch, you’re a sadist. Lelouch: Okay, 85%. You did pretty good. Suzaku: Because I have a good teacher. Lelouch: Hmph. Flattery won’t get you anything! Suzaku: I’m not flattering you. I really think so. Thanks, Lelouch. Lelouch: … Anyway, today’s session… Suzaku: Um, we’re at the end of the 1700s, when the citizens were starting a revolution. Lelouch: That’s right. Ahem. At the end of the 1700s, all of Europe was facing rebellions that were triggered by the French Revolution. That was when Napoleon started gaining power, was crowned, and had a hold on almost all of Europe. He looked to expand to the British Isles, won the Battle of Trafalgar and held naval supremacy. He then took his 120,000 men and landed on British soil and thereafter advanced to London. The queen at that time, Elizabeth III, was chased to Edinburgh where she was captured by the citizens who supported Napoleon. She was forced to abolish the monarchy in a.t.b. 1807, which is known as the… Suzaku: “Humiliation at Edinburgh.” Lelouch: Right. And the one who saved the queen is Ricardo van Britannia, the man who eventually founded the Britannia Empire. Suzaku: So his existence was important to history. Lelouch: Not so fast. That’s why you’re so naive. You forgot an important person. He will later be featured in many novels, plays and movies: Ricardo’s right-hand man and best friend, and the strongest knight. He was the head of the Knights of the Round, the “Knight of One” — Sir Richart Hector. Suzaku: Oh! I think I’ve heard of him! I think I saw the movie, too. Lelouch: Then there’s no problem. Without Richart, the escape from Edinburgh to the New World wouldn’t have happened. Suzaku: I see… Lelouch: Then next we’ll talk about the founding of the Britannia Empire. Make sure to study! Suzaku: Yes, Professor Lelouch.
Tumblr media
The Formation of Britannia Nunnally: Oh, I didn’t know you were here. Suzaku: Yeah. Lelouch was teaching me. Nunnally: When you’re done, would you like to have dinner with us? They’re preparing it now. Suzaku: Thanks, I’d love to. Lelouch: Then Suzaku, we’ll move on to the formation of Britannia. Did you study for this? Suzaku: Leave it to me. So Elizabeth III and the aristocrats who followed her went to the New World and set up a capital on the East Coast. They started conquering America, but Elizabeth III died without leaving an heir. Lelouch: Yeah. And normally they would choose one from among the relatives, but Elizabeth appointed her lover, Ricardo van Britannia I, as the heir on her deathbed. And that is how the Holy Empire of Britannia came to be. Suzaku: It’s an unbelievable story. She’s known as the “Queen who lived an eventful life for love,” right? She might’ve been nice as a lady, but I’m doubtful about her as a ruler. Lelouch: Woah! Stop, Suzaku! Suzaku: Huh? Nunnally: I see… you don’t like Elizabeth III? You don’t think she had what it took to be a ruler? Suzaku: Huh? What’s going on? Why do I feel so cornered? Nunnally: I see… Excuse me, I must go. Suzaku: What happened? Did I say something? Lelouch: Nunnally is a fan of Elizabeth III. When she was younger, she read a highly innacurate story that depicted her as a tragic queen. Suzaku: Oh, I see. I’m sorry. I didn’t know. Lelouch: Well, it’s not anything new that you can’t read the atmosphere. I’m glad you didn’t bring up the theory that she assassinated Napoleon, because the damage would’ve been even more severe. Suzaku: You mean, the theory that Napoleon died on his way back to France after the loss at Waterloo because of poison in his food put in by Elizabeth’s men? Lelouch: Yeah. “I will never forget this humiliation.” It’s a famous quote from her last testament. Nunnally: Lelouch! Suzaku! Dinner is ready. Lelouch: !! Oh, thanks, Nunnally. That was quick. Nunnally: I helped a little, that’s why. Suzaku: Thanks. I thought you’d be mad. Nunnally: Of course not. It was I who invited you. “I will never forget.” Suzaku:/Lelouch: …!!! Nunnally: Please, eat up!
Tumblr media
Arrival of the Black Ships Lelouch: So the democratic revolutions continued and the aristocrats from all over Europe, especially France, advocated the release of slaves and the war that started in the southern states became the Civil War. Any questions? Suzaku: None, I get it. Oh? I hear a knock. Come in! Kallen: Oh, Suzaku, Lelouch. What are you two doing? Suzaku: I’m having Lelouch teach me history. Lelouch: That’s right. So if you don’t need anything, you’re in the way. Get out. Suzaku: You don’t have to kick her out. I don’t mind. Come on, let’s continue. Lelouch: Sheesh, you’re too nice. Fine, let’s continue. Britannia worked on stabilizing the country while also looking at foreign opportunities, especially in the Pacific. And finally in 1853 they crossed the Pacific and arrived in Japan. Japan had an isolationist policy and realized that they’d fallen behind the rest of the world. “The denkisen awakens the Pacific slumber; just four cups and we cannot fall asleep.” Are you familiar with this? Suzaku: Of course. I’m Japanese. Lelouch: Oh yeah. Well, it’s obvious but this is a haiku describing the black ships of Britannia arriving at Japan. Suzaku:/Kallen: …! Lelouch: What’s wrong? Suzaku: Oh… just continue, Lelouch. Lelouch: …? Fine. So the denkisen refers to the Britannian ships with outer rings that were operated with electric motors. It must be a phonetic equivalent. They should’ve written it with the kanji for “electric boats,” but since Japan didn’t have the technology for electricity, they used different kanji… Suzaku:/Kallen: … Lelouch: Okay, if you gusy have something you want to say, just say it! Kallen: You’re wrong, Lelouch. That’s not a haiku but a parodied tanka. Lelouch: …!! It’s something similar! Kallen: No, it’s not. And the denkisen actually refers to the expensive tea that was loaded on the boat. Green tea has a lot of caffeine, so the four cups making people not fall asleep is referring to the fact that a commotion was made with just four ships. Lelouch: What!? Is that true, Suzaku!? Suzaku: Umm. Sorry, Lelouch. Kallen is right. Lelouch: Urgh! Kallen: I’m sorry, Lelouch. You were enjoying your rolse as a professor, but I guess I ruined your day. Lelouch: Shut up, you. Perry ship!!
Tumblr media
Occupation of Japan
Lelouch: So this is the last session. Suzaku: You’re as abrupt as usual. But isn’t this a bad place to end this? Lelouch: What are you talking about? This is just as I planned. I can’t talk about the a.t.b. 1900s because it’s related to the main plot. I’ve been told not to say anything. Suzaku: Really? But this is the last DVD volume, isn’t it? Lelouch: Urgh! It’s the end but not the end! Anyway, here’s the last session! We’re going to skip to a.t.b. 2010!! Suzaku: You don’t have to yell. Oh, 2010 is the year we first met. Lelouch: Yeah. At that time Japan took advantage of how the Chinese Federation and Britannia were on hostile terms and stayed neutral. They used the sakuradite card, manipulated the distribution, and created a three-way standoff between the Chinese Federation, the EU, and Britannia to enjoy economic prosperity. Suzaku: And no one thought that Britannia would break the balance using military force. Lelouch: That’s right. The common assumption in international relations at the time was that it was taboo to attack Japan. Because once a fire started, all the other factions would follow suit and a full-scale war would break out. But the one who broke the rule… Suzaku: … Was Charles zi Britannia. The 98th emperor of the Holy Empire of Britannia. And your father. Lelouch: That man’s preparations were complete. As a blindside he sent all of the Knights of the Round to Africa and Inda, and the flagship ship, the Great Britannia, to the Indian Ocean; and while others were looking away from the Pacific he seized Japan quickly. The situation was practically decided in the first 24 hours, and by the time the Chinese Federation and EU tried to act, it was too late. And what happened after that… is not necessary to say, I guess. Suzaku: Yeah, you’re right. Lelouch: Now starting tomorrow, I’ll talk about the history of other countries. Don’t forget to study. Suzaku: Huh!? But you said this is the last session. Lelouch: It’s over as in what’s going to be in the DVD booklets. Your class will continue. We’re starting with the Chinese Federation. Suzaku: Why the Chinese Federation? Lelouch: “It’s not the end of the story” is a hint. Suzaku: Sigh… I guess there’s much more… Lelouch: Are you unhappy with that!? After all that I went through to teach you!? Suzaku: No, I’m very grateful, Professor. Lelouch: Very well. Then that’s the end of today’s session!

Takahiro Kimura, also known as the Character designer of Code Geass, just passed away.
He died from amyloidosis. His wife (and colorist of his most well known artwork) wants people to learn more about this disease so that it can be noticed and treated more efficiently.
He was the Character designer of various well known anime, and amongst them, of Code Geass, with Clamp, they designed most of the characters and he redesigned them with his signature style, adding some well known features (Like Lelouch's longs finger and hand work)
This man is one of the main reasons I fell in love with this show in 2006, his artworks and his designs gave Code Geass an unique flavor and his design of Lelouch is unmatched.
Rest in peace, Takahiro Kimura sensei, thanks for all of the artwork, the designs, the episodes and the memories. You will be remembered. Adding two of my favorite work of his for Code Geass, Lelouch of the Rebellion, and Akito the exiled.

Charles speaks his usual bullshit about our world not being one and only and about the past, present and future all existing blablabla, he is basically warning you what's coming after is bullshit. Lelouch comes in and is welcomed by Nunnally, who is the principal of the school, he was awaited as the new professor, they heard of his doing and wanted him here. He introduces himself as Lelouch Lamperouge, a teacher whose job is to deal with delinquants school after school. Nunnally wants him to fix things with the delinquants in her school so it gets back to being a worthy britannian school.
Lelouch asks if that's this bad and Nunnally say it is, as no one act like a person anymore, they can't hold themselves, they have no education and it's like a zoo.
Lelouch is confident about being able to deal with them, but Nunally warns him to not underestimate them, his class is like the worst and previous teachers ended up in hospitals. Lelouch says he can handle that, and he asks Nunnally to stop talking of them like that, as they could hear that and that would be hurtful. Lelouch then goes in his first class, the third beast class, and there is only one student in there; Cecile. They do their introductions, Cecile is very cheerful. Lelouch notices she looks very normal; Eventually, Cecile says that no one came today, to Lelouch's lack of luck, so she proposes him to bring him where they are, to which he agrees. She then brings him to the campus and …Delinquant Orange welcome them. He wants to know who dares to step in there; Lelouch reminds him they are outside and introduces himself before asking him who he is. He is the caid of this place and his name is Jeremiah Gottwald. As they argue about stuff, Lelouch kind of calls Orange….tangerine, which drives Jeremiah super crazy over the nickname, yelling "Mikan /Tangerine) everywhere and getting insane at it, he tries to murder Lelouch. Lelouch then uses his geass to calm Jeremiah. Cecile blames him for using it and Lelouch wonders who she knows about it, as it's a secret Then they meet Lloyd, he is the shadow of the caid; After things get a little out of hand, Lelouch geasses Lloyd and, as he seemingly promised before, leaves the choice of the order to Cecile, she then asks Lloyd to date her;
Lloyd then dutifully agrees and propose to Cecile, leading her to yell in joy and being super flustered, she then thanks Lelouch, asking him to bring back peace in this insane school. Now we move to the third encounter ; As Lelouch and Cecile kees going on and notice how everything is wrecked they hear the sound of broken things; The Glaston team are destroying everything, Lelouch then geass them to stay quiet ; They then hear a roaring sound and Cecile notices Guilford has just stolen a bike; Lelouch geass him into bringing it back, then Diethard is the next one and Lelouch geass him and Odysseus and so on (it's quite funny cause they use various line from the anime during the sound drama, and Cecile being hysterically cute will never not be funny just like Lelouch yelling この 犯罪 者 ) Cecile then notices how everyone is right now and Lelouch makes a speech about things going right ; Moving on; They arrive on the roof; Cornelia is there and she welcomes them and congratulates him for making it till there; She introduces herself as delinquant Cornelia, and she warns him she is a whole different level from others.Lelouch snaps back for it's the same for him as he is a special one, so which Cornelia says she knows about that, She heard rumors about Lelouch Lamperouge, also known under the "Geass teacher" surname. She knows about geass and has a counter for it, for she has…glasses ! She thought about this counter strike and now wants to take all her time to punish him. She then strikes him, but Cecile comes in and beat Cornelia's ass with various attack like Cecile punch or Cecile beam cause she forbids her to hit Lelouch ; Cornelia is beaten thanks to Cecile. She then warns Lelouch one opponent is still left.
And Charles speaks (his theme begins to play ), he introduces himself as the delinquant of all delinquant, Charles di Bancho da (this introduction is insane) Lelouch understands he really is the ultimate bancho and he has to stop him; Charles tease him about being fearful and Lelouch obviously denies it; Lelouch tells him once he'll have him bend into his will, he'll have the whole school acting as robot and executing his orders and bowing to him; Cecile notices he went over the toEtsy c, meanwhile Charles keeps on mentioning how Lelouch is no match for him and there are rules he has no idea of; Lelouch then freaks out as Charles'eyes shows up his geass and Charles eventually cast it on him ;
A phone is beeping. Lelouch introduces himself, He is the CEO of the Aera eleven compagny, and also known as the Geass president. Nunnally comes in, panicked, cause the Britannia compagny is coming ; we understand that Lelouch plans to use/swallow them and geass
We then jump to Charles who asks Nunnally what it is they are about to make Lelouch do this time, to which Nunnally tells him that's enough (We understand that it's all been Charles playing with his Geass and Lelouch's head)
Audio Drama "A Hundred Geass Ghost Stories"
I didn't hear this drama so i'm merely giving you a small summary from a friend who heard it;
This drama is set up around most of the R2 Student council who are gathered in some (scary) place and tells each other some scary stories; (Hyaku Monogatari, the title of this sound drama, means the hundred stories, it's a way to call ghost stories in Japan) It seems that most of them just tells some unfortunate or crazy events which happened to them, not understanding the whole concept of scary stories, until Suzaku takes the lead and tells them a real scary story, which keeps them on the edge and eventually really frighten thems; Eventually Viletta arrives as they put an end to the session and it all ends up as they notice something strange and realize there is a real ghost amongst them, leading them all to run away while screaming.
That's about it For this Sound episode, always more and more crack, moving on to the next one .
