HEYYYY guys… uhhhh

So this isnt exactly an emergency (right?? I hesitate to ever say omg guys its a crisis!!!),

but I’m dangerously close to cutting into my rent and i need to pay for therapy this week, as well as legal documents, and my wi-fi,,,

basically, i got sick like twice in a row and had to pay for a bunch of medication, and Etsy is also withholding my funds from me but i still need to send out deliveries which,,,

the shipping can still cost a surprising amount in some occasions (because they put me on reserve, of course they did HAHA) and i am yet to.

i'll be honest, i don't really proper lore or a backstory for him atm, he's just basically a self insert for myself but like... idk i plan to have more fun with him and eventually try to develop him as a character (who just happens to resemble me loll) i'll try to have a bunch of organized information for him somewhere soon

i do have some basic info though!

i think the current main idea i have in mind is that tsurumi is the first person to recognize kamiya as a man (which is a big deal to him!) alongside some other stuff that i'll eventually properly flesh out hopefully. idk if he's like... officially part of the actual 7th division but he is aligned with that group for sure. idk i feel like making it all work out realistically will be a hassle but !! idc we have fun here that's the priority! kamiya likes to do undercover missions a lot as it aligns with his skills well and he's also just used to pretending to be someone he's not soooo.. yaaa

for personality and behavior and such: either seems quiet and distant, or is the most sweet and silly thing ever. kamiya uses this range to mask himself around people (for example, undercover missions). despite his reserved disposition, he's actually an extrovert who tries to get on everyone's good side & hates being alone. he's been through a lot and tends to take his feelings out on himself a lot (especially as a response to anger). kamiya might end up especially clingy to those he enjoys/tolerates the company of. this man craves physical touch sooo bad you have no idea

skills include: good hearing and speed, skilled with bladed weapons (bayonet) and decent with pistols/revolvers, musically and artistically inclined, good at blending in and disguising himself

flaws/stuff he's bad at: poor vision, completely unable to swim (and even float in some cases), difficulty with handling cold temps, not the best with rifles and such, mental health is.. not so great! pretty bad! he just reeaalllyy tries to mask it

extra bonus info: cat coded but NOT LIKE OGATA ! he is like a pathetic domestic cat that jumps at the slightest sounds and demands attention and cuddles. kamiya is no wildcat that's for sure lol.. oh also when it comes to being undercover, kamiya doesn't mind disguising himself as a woman! he likes the excuse to get dolled up and look pretty.

A little Sugivasi ficlet... featuring a not-yet familiar face

The street was crowded; everyone was eager to bask in the cherry blossoms. Vasily wanted to paint them, as it had been many years since he had managed to catch them in bloom. So, he had dragged Sugimoto to Otaru – for company, naturally, and because secretly, he hoped a petal or two might sneak their way into Sugimoto’s hair, and Vasily would very happily paint that view.

Something bumped into his leg, and Vasily’s hand slipped from Sugimoto’s – which he had been holding under the guise of not losing each other in the crowd, which was in danger of happening now. But Sugimoto quickly made his way back to Vasily’s side as he looked down. A small boy, perhaps seven years of age, with red cheeks the likes of which Vasily had seldom seen, was staring up at him, eyes like saucers.

“I’m so sorry, sir,” said a woman, presumably the boy’s mother, as she bent down to take his hand and bow at the same time.

Her hair was mostly grey, and her cheeks sunken, but her eyes, upon meeting Vasily’s from dark sockets, attributed those features to a life of hardship rather than old age.

Vasily gave a little hum and nodded. A shy smile ghosted over her lips before the woman let herself and her son be claimed by the moving crowd.

As they disappeared, the boy exclaimed, “His eyes were blue!”

“Yes, yes, but look at the cherry blossoms, they’re pink!” was the last thing Vasily and Sugimoto heard from them.

Sugimoto chuckled as his hand slipped back into Vasily’s. “You’re popular.”

“Hm,” Vasily huffed with amusement. “No’ wha’ they ushally commen’ on fihst.”

“Should be, if you ask me.”
