finally getting started on some of the @codywanweek prompts. nsfw wlw codywan anyone?

for the first day prompt modern au: linguist/archaeologist au, how modern does modern have to be? Is it locked into the 21st century, or can the nineteenth or twentieth work too?

19th or 20th century is okay too if you're including the linguist/archeologist part!

If you're only doing the modern AU part then I'd arbitrarily put the boundary on 1950s or later.
