Coca-Cola Small World Machines - Bringing India & Pakistan Together
Campaign is a form of work that includes with creative advertisement, marketing strategy and commercial. It is largely produce when a certain brand wanted to promote their brand value in an interesting way by using the media, people, and creativity.
Coca cola is one of the famous brand that create many kinds of campaign that interact with people. The video above is an interesting campaign that get the idea in pulling two groups of people in India and Pakistan that used to living with conflict to share a simple moment of connection and joy with the help of technology.
I believe that it is a useful campaign to allow us to understand the situation of both nation and how the brand solve the problem by finding solution and creative ideas to bring peace and happiness in both nation.

Reflection
In this semester, it is an interesting experience that I’ve to re-create my subject matter based on the chosen RSA brief. From the process, I am really nervous and confused as it is really different from what I have studied previously. The chosen RSA brief focuses on design a solution that harnesses digital tools to increase the quantity and quality of citizens’ participation in democratic processes. It is more specific in politics. Therefore, it is a tough semester for me to go through because I am a young adult that is clueless with politic issues in worldwide and locally.
However, it gets better throughout the journey in research and observation on the topic. I then decided to study on young adult why they did not vote for the election, as I believe that many young adults are facing the same situation as me. This study gives me the opportunity to challenge myself in developing my subject matter by finding relevant research on the topic.
After I have decided on my subject matter, I begin in research further on my topic to get reliable information from the Internet. This steps have assist me in understanding more better on my topic and I am more confident in continue my study.
Through the journey of completing this semester, I have collected many stimulating information in the Internet and convey it into info graphic. This method enables me to gather my research in to a clearer direction.
To further my study, I also become a visual explorer by exploring the surrounding in London. It is a remarkable journey as I have collected many interesting design and events as another step in getting a clearer observation on my subject matter. In this exploration, I have learned that design can be used in many ways in communicating with people and I believe it is very useful to become my design concept in my subject matter.
Moreover, I continue my study by creating surveys and short interview with young adults so that I can get real and existing information from my surroundings. This gets me into an understanding on young adults idea and feelings towards election and politics. It has helped me to begin in thinking with a different perspective point of view as a designer. I’ve started with creating my curiosity on a topic and continue to explore them to get a clear knowledge about the problem by involving in getting information from real young adults. It is a great exploration on youth as they have given me interesting outcomes on politics and election.
In my opinion, create more interactive design materials in this progression would have the higher chances in communicate deeper with young adults as I think that my outdoor research with young adults could be even better.
All in all, I am grateful that I am taking this semester as I have take part into a fascinating practice as a designer and I hope that I can take my journey on my subject matter into my major project.

Toolkit progression #3
After I’ve complete my toolkit, I asked few young adults to involved to play with my toolkits. It is really obvious that most young adults would prefer political party to begin with an interesting festival/event to approach them to vote. To let them feel that political party are concern about young adults. However, some young adults also prefer political party to approach them through social media.
Another toolkit is to allow young adults to create a/few scenario on what young adults that do before the election starts.

Toolkit progression #2
After my toolkit got approved, I start with measuring the size of my stage play and find out more on the wood that I would be using for the project.
This is a designed survey for the toolkit. I’ve to start finding a suitable paper material for this survey. I have test printed in the library and decided to use a better quality of paper for the survey, character design and the stage play illustration.
This is the final outcome of the toolkits.

Toolkit Progression #1
After discover my subject matter with my target audience, the next step is to design a tool kit to further my research. My first toolkit idea is to design an object that capable to allow my target audience to play and of course, to have fun with it. I brought up the idea of 90′s childhood game, which is paper dolls to let the audience play. This toolkit includes with characters and scenario and the reason that I am doing this is to collect more details on what they are doing during the election day. On the scenario that they choose, they will be given cards to write down what are they doing on the scenario they choose.
This is the dummy of the stage to allow the audience to put on their scenario, character and card.

Food Play Photoshoot
We started our photoshoot session with our food last Tuesday. We are only allowed bringing dry food to shoot.
Before I start shooting my food, I did not know what am I trying to shoot and not sure what am I going to shoot with my food. I saw my classmates brought lots of interesting dry food for the photoshoot and borrow some food from them.
I also used the equipments and tools in the studio to enhance my photoshoot arrangement with food. I planned to create a food wonderland which is one with snacks and another with noodles.

Design that indicates a starting point for my master project.
I am not a big fan of pop up book and I never imagine myself making one. I’ve been doing pop up book twice in BA graphic communication design. This is one of the pop up book that I am proud of. This is the video for my final project.

It is a pop up book for coping stress. I choose a few related information on coping stress into interactive visual to communicate with the readers by using pop up technique. I hope that people who are facing stress and depression can bravely cope it.
The book inspired by a few pop up book such as, pop up book of phobias and pop up book of nightmares by Balvis Rubess. He used people’s most common fear and nightmare to create the book.

Review an aspect of The Future is here at the V&A.
I have been to The Future is here at the V&A. To be honest, I am not really interested in it and I am not sure what should I review about it. However, I kind of like the part they designed a table personally for people who is single or alone. I can understand some people would love a smaller table and it fits only one person. I also like the idea of designing the arrangement of the cutlery, plate and glass so that it doesn’t mess up. It looks quite unique and I would like to try it if the project was produced.
