Those sisters…I really like them. They are really unique. And even though they are not the most lovely sisters in the world is really nice to see that they actually care for each other.

ToG Couple Road Trip Headcanons

Yrene and Chaol

He totally drives. He’s the kind of guy who will drink coffee but swear he doesn’t need it because he’s *awake*

Yrene will read in the passenger seat and read him tidbits or turn on the music and sing along.

She’s a firm believer in the rule that the passenger doesn’t fall asleep so they can keep the driver awake. She’s also navigator because Chaol doesn’t believe in GPS, but will get lost if they don’t follow a map.

Rowan and Aelin

She insists on driving throughout but then wants to switch after an hour.

Rowan pulls over every time to switch. Her driving makes him nervous anyway, so it’s not restful. “Fireheart, blinkers were invented for a reason and the speed limit is NOT a suggestion.”

Aelin chooses the music. No one is allowed to touch her playlists. They switch between classical and hardcore rap. She sings along loudly and out of tune to literally every song.

She has to pee every half hour. Half the time, they’re at a stretch of road with no stops so she has to pee on the side of the road.

They have most definitely been ticketed for said pee stops.

Dorian and Manon

Manon drives. She hates sitting in the car unless she’s driving it. Dorian protests, but only out of politeness. He doesn’t want to drive anyway.

She drinks black coffee and it doesn’t matter how far the drive, she never seems tired. Dorian tries an assortment of energy drinks throughout and attempts to get Manon to drink them with him.

Manon HATES pit stops and Dorian LOVES them. They compromise by making pit stops that Manon bitches about.

Lysandra and Aedion

Lysandra hates driving. She only does it when Aedion honestly can’t drive anymore.

Aedion doesn’t mind. He likes to point out random places and say made-up facts about them.

Lysandra can paint her nails *perfectly* no matter how bumpy the road. Aedion is impressed despite himself.

Elide and Lorcan

Elide let’s Lorcan drive, generally. Lorcan likes driving, but there’s something he finds dead sexy about Elide behind the wheel of a huge truck, her chin tilted up to see above the dash.

Elide is queen of falling asleep ten seconds after the car starts, so their road trips are generally quiet.

They stop at a hundred places along the way, though, and Elide takes a hundred photos.

Nesryn and Sartaq

They switch off on driving because both like it.

They’ll literally drive for three hundred miles with no destination in mind, just enjoying the road and each other’s company.

The power couple of spontaneous road trips.

Just finished this wonderful book. If you’re a throne of glass fan then I certainly recommend you read this. Especially if you’re a manorian shipper and if you finished koa and have no idea what you are doing with your life anymore.
