whenever i remember that Kaltain Rompier fought and killed the Prince valg inside her, survived all terrors of sexual abuse and destroyed the third of the morath saving our witches and elide on her own, makes me wanna cry so bad. i wish i could give her a big hug and never let her go. i wish she could befriend aelin’s court and feel the love she deserves. i wish i treated her better in the first books. this woman deserves much much better and i will never forget her

I am so fucking emo about Kaltain. The absolute GENIUS to take a minor antagonist from the first book and give her this incredible ending… what a time. Kaltain has always been one of my favorite characters because of how deeply complex and STRONG she is. She survived MONTHS of torture, assault, and carrying a fucking Wyrdkey in her body and used that power to sacrifice herself for the greater good. When the last time she saw all the good guys they were belittling her. Your honor, i love her.

I know Nesta fans like to compare her with Manon and sometimes even Aelin, but I personally think she is more similar or would get along better with Kaltain - both generally unlikable from first impressions but later prove the audiences wrong that their hearts were in the right place all along.

longer version: i know we're meant to hate her early on but i never did?? i mean i wasn't a huge fan or anything but she interested me and then everything in queen of shadows???? put some respect on kaltain fucking rompier's name. whenever i think of her i get so sad, she truly and genuinely deserved so much more. i wish sarah had delved into her more, i'd love to learn everything i can about her. that's my underappreciated queen
