There is a moment in the early hours of the morning, just after opening my eyes, when all I can see is the curve of your arm and I know that I am safe. Wake Up

I was stuck in a dream, a nightmare really. I only woke up because I received a call. Covered in sweat, with a heavy feeling in my chest, I felt like crying. I decided to write instead. This is my first attempt at an actual poem, not just thoughts and words pouring from my head.. internet please be kind.

2 worlds colliding, I felt like I was dying.

Cheers turned to tears when we heard the news.

4 souls not accounted for.

We wore white, not black, to celebrate life.

But with 4 souls gone, it didn’t feel right.

We gathered near so that you all might hear,

2 worlds collide, because 4 souls died.

Grateful.
