“y/n”. you barely had time to respond before you felt a familiar hand fit into yours. you were practically dragged from the living room, crowded with the alcohol soaked bodies of your fellow students, as you were led up the stairs and across the landing. your head spun with the dizzying effects of peach schnapps setting in and, by the time you had reached the second floor, you had forgotten why you were now upstairs.

you reached a door at the far end of the hallway, catching a glimpse of flame red hair as you were guided inside. you would recognise that hair anywhere - “ah”, you thought, “youngtaek”. it was clear now: the familiar scent of lavender, the way his hand moulded perfectly into yours.

you realised you were in a closet. “of all the places in the house”, you thought, “he had to choose the closet?” alas, you were oblivious to his plans; he had been subtly trying to find you all night and, now he had, youngtaek wasn’t going to waste his time.

without a second to spare, he moved his body so close to yours that your back pressed against the wall- it was a smaller space than you had thought. the only source of light was the sliver from the hallway, the only thing visible being his eyes. it was then that you realised the reason he had pulled you upstairs, you could see his eyes darkening as he brought his bottom lip between his teeth.

he looked into your eyes, scanning them for approval; he was eager but didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. caught off guard by his sudden politeness, you gave a small nod to let him know you were okay.

he brought his hand up to stroke your cheek gently before leaving a trail of kisses, painfully slow, down the sensitive skin of your neck and onto your collarbone. you gave a small whimper of satisfaction as his free hand traced its way up your torso. looking into your eyes once more, his lips met yours in a collision of lavender perfume and the faint smell of vodka.

you could feel the world spinning as your bodies pressed together, closing what was left of the little space you had in the closet. your lips moved in sync as your hands reached for his shirt, pulling him impossibly closer. you were enveloped in him, your senses completely overwhelmed by the way he made you melt into him.

you were so caught up in the way his mouth moved against yours that you instinctively relaxed into his touch, his grasp on your waist tightening. you were practically buzzing, hands tangled in his ruby hair and his mouth attached to your neck. it wasn’t long before his lips were against yours once again, fervidly exploring the taste of peach and lemonade in your mouth.

you pulled away in a desperate attempt to regain your composure. your hearts beat against each other in sync, your chests rose and fell harmoniously with each breath. you were thankful for the dark, masking your burning cheeks as you brought your hand up to cup his face.

“you know i love you, right taek?”, you inquired, bringing his face closer to yours once again.

“i know, darling. i love you too”

kissing prompt 11: staring at each other’s lips, trying not to kiss, before giving in

the back of the library was always your favourite place to study, it was secluded enough to reduce distractions and you didn’t mind sitting on the floor. 

the bookcase, brimming with novels, felt firm against your back as you rested your arm on your head, absentmindedly threading strands of hair through your fingers. you were trying desperately to focus on the words printed within the textbook that you held in your hands, frosty from the library’s lack of heating. frankly, you were bored out of your mind from scanning the numerous explanations of chemical equations. 

you had always hated science, which is why you enlisted the aid of your classmate donghyun to help you. the main reason being so he could prevent you from falling asleep, a fate you had so often encountered and had suffered the consequences of in the form of ‘d’ grades and too many aching headaches to count.

you had propped your foot up on a shelf of the bookcase haphazardly, it was uncomfortable enough that you were almost certain you couldn’t fall asleep in such an intolerable position. your eyes flicked quickly through the information in front of you as you fought the heaviness of your eyelids.

however, remarkably, donghyun had read even less of the textbook than you had. he had spent the last thirty minutes stealing glances at you from over the top of the book, making sure that your eyes didn’t catch his, while carefully examining your face.

 he had concealed his crush on you pretty well, he thought; you only really hung out with him for school and even then, you didn’t seem to act weird around him at all.

he had been studying your face instead of studying chemical formulas, which was ironic seeing as you were usually the distracted one. there was something different about you, he thought as you bit your lip in concentration, something that meant he couldn’t stop staring. 

he had began to notice your habits after months of studying together; the way you placed your finger between your teeth when you were stressed, the way you tapped your fingernails on your textbook to a song playing inside your head, the way your hand curled around the strands of hair that had been blocking your vision.

he hadn’t registered that at some point within his trance, you had shifted your gaze to meet his eyes and noticed he was looking right at you so, feeling confident, you had stared right back at him. his eyes darted back to his textbook as you saw the tips of his ears begin to glow; all the while, your eyes didn’t move.

as he brought his hazel eyes back up to meet yours, he realised that yours were no longer locked onto his but had shifted down to his lips. he mirrored your action, his gaze deviating to your mouth as your bottom lip crept between your teeth. you were frozen in your stares for what seemed like a lifetime, even though you both wanted to lean in.

his ears were scorching as impulse brought his body closer to yours, the textbook tumbling to the ground as he did so.

you leaned into his frame as his hands found their home, one resting comfortably on your leg and the other wrapping around your neck to hold your head. you had never seen donghyun this confident before, it took you off guard how forward he was being but, you had to admit, you liked it.

as his head inched closer to yours, the smell his coconut shampoo overwhelmed your lungs.  

his hand brought your chin closer to his lips as they melted together in a blur of messy hair and hazel eyes. every breath you took tasted like the warm sun of june, you could almost feel the heat of summer when his lips touched yours.

your mouths moved in sync while his hand threaded the hair at the back of your neck. you hummed in appreciation, melting into his embrace as he deepened the kiss. books pressed into your back as his body pressed onto yours; it would’ve been uncomfortable at any other moment but you were so lost in the taste of his lips that you didn’t even feel it. 

as you crept your hand up to his waist to pull him impossibly closer, the sound of a book falling to your side made you break away from the kiss. slightly dazed, you looked to your right and realised that your arm had been leaning on a pile of books and, in your dreamlike state, you had knocked them all over.

donghyun regained his breath as he let out a small laugh, bringing his hand to his eyes as he shifted himself back upright. he held out the other, pulling you up to join him in laughing at the mess you had made. 

your gaze moved to his face once again, his cheeks tinted pink and his eyes smiling as he continued to giggle at your misfortune. you couldn’t lie, he had you hooked and you were beginning to realise why you had asked him to hang out so many times. 

through stifled laughs you managed to speak, 

“stop laughing at me !! we still have work to do you know”

kissing prompt 8: sneaking away to steal a secret kiss

the familiar smell of lavender and cedarwood overwhelmed your senses as you were jolted from the daydream your mind had been immersed in; you recognised it almost instantly as your boyfriend donghyun. he briefly passed by your desk as he surreptitiously dropped a small slip of paper on top of your textbook before making his way out of the classroom door. 

you took no time to pick it up, examining his handwriting; it had been ripped from the corner of your math assignment and very plainly stated “meet me behind the art building”. donghyun was a man of very few words so his direct temperament didn’t surprise you in the slightest, you honestly found it endearing. you excused yourself from your friends, who had their heads in their study guides, and subtly exitted the classroom after your boyfriend.

as you turned the corner to the art building, the brunette came into your view. he was looking at the ground, seemingly immersed in his own thoughts, completely unaware of your presence. you began to walk towards him, shamelessly staring at his charming features, as he turned towards you. he looked up to meet your eye line, giving you a cocky smile as he did so; his face looked as if it was glowing in the sun of the late afternoon. 

“you’re a slow walker”, he teased, holding out his hand. 

“shut it or i’ll leave right now”, your fingers weaved between his as your hands found each other. he instinctively pulled you closer so that you could feel his chest rise and fall with each breath he took. 

you were so close to him that you could smell his neck, the familiar scent of his cedarwood cologne washed over your senses as your head went foggy. he had possessed this effect on you ever since you had started dating and he never failed to use it to his advantage. he was known to the rest of the student body as ‘the quiet one’ but you knew him better than that, he could be a pain in your ass sometimes because of how unreserved he actually was.

your bodies were impressively close as he leant in, his lips grazing over yours, before pulling away again. you were familiar with his teasing ways so it didn’t take long before you locked your lips onto his, your hand travelling to the nape of his neck to keep him from moving back again. your lips moved in sync with each other as you could feel a warmth begin to rise in your chest; you held him so close that there was virtually no space between your bodies. 

you fought for dominance over his lips as his hand found its home on your lower back, tracing circles on your hips as you arched towards him. he smiled into the kiss, knowing that he had made you weak, as he felt your dominant demeanour melt into his embrace. you knew that you should be cautious about kissing him in such a public place but your head was thrown into a blur as soon as his skin touched yours that you had forgotten about being secretive. 

that was until you heard a door close in the distance. you broke away from the kiss, the smell of donghyun’s cologne clouding each breath you took. looking up into his eyes, you started to giggle as you realised that he was equally as dazed as you were. you unhooked your arms from his neck as you tugged slightly on the collar of his shirt.

“we’ve gotta go before we get caught”, you whispered as your lips brushed over his jawline, lingering for a few seconds before moving away from him.

he was forced back into reality the second you began walking away, still surprised that he was left so stunned, as he looked ahead at your figure strolling back towards the door. he realised that he was stupid to think that he was in control when in fact, you had him wrapped around your little finger.

 “wait up”, he called out after you.

his delicate fingers danced along your hand, weaving in and out of the gaps between your fingers applying a gentle pressure as he travelled up your palm. he traced his way up to your elbow and back down to your wrist, carefully pressing as he went. 

you had asked your boyfriend sunghoon if he would give you a manicure and it had apparently led to a whole arm massage to your surprise. he had already tidied up your cuticles as well as filing your nails into a neat curve so, obviously restless, he had began to make his was up your arms. he playfully tickled along your skin, smiling softly when you tried to wriggle out of his grasp, your chest rising and falling with each giggle. 

after a few minutes of flirtatious tickling, you both regained your posture as you sat knee to knee. he ran his hand through his hair as his gaze fell back onto your hands, almost scanning your fingers with his brow slightly furrowed. 

“you doing okay there hoon?”, you teased, wiggling your fingers in response.

“i could give you a hand massage as like an end to the manicure?”, he vocalised, the thought had obviously been circling his mind as he examined your hands once again. 

“sur-”, you uttered. you didn’t even finish the pronunciation before sunghoon had leapt up to get his nicest smelling hand cream.

he settled across from you again, this time with his signature ‘satsuma and rosewood’ moisturiser. he held out as his hand as you reached out your own, a smile tugging across your face as his fingers came into contact with yours. he mirrored his earlier actions, making his way gently around the palm of your hand before drifting up to your fingertips. 

you found him adorable: the way he instinctively stuck out his tongue in deep concentration; the way his shirt hung freely against his shoulders, shaping his collarbone effortlessly. his sharp eyes softened as his eyes flickered around your hand, he really seemed to be enjoying himself. 

you had gotten so lost in his disposition that you didn’t realise when his eyes met yours, only the lingering warmth of his fingers were left on your own. 

“thank you, my prince”, you spoke with love in your voice. you saw the tips of his ears begin to turn red at the pet name, one you knew he secretly adored. you brought your hand up to his face as you ran your thumb over his cheek, watching as he intuitively nuzzled into the warmth of your soft palm.

the faint smell of pancakes drifted through the door, left slightly ajar, a beam of sunlight finding its way to your closed eyes. awoken by the alarm of nature, you opened them lazily, the promise of sleep still weighing your eyelids down, while you used all your strength to pull yourself up. you swung your legs over the side of the bed, your feet greeted by soft slippers, as you mentally thanked yourself. bringing your hands up to rub your eyes, you sleepily pushed open the door, instinctively following the sweet smell. 

when you had finally opened your eyes fully, you realised that your feet had carried you to the kitchen. as your eyes adjusted to the light, you were met with a loving smile. it belonged to your boyfriend daeyeol, the love of your life, and it made your heart melt instantly. 

“coffee’s ready”

his voice was like honey as the words rolled off his tongue, so comforting yet still so endearing. 

you made your way over to the pot of coffee, carefully pouring it into a cup and setting it down on the breakfast bar. the fact that it was almost 9am and you weren’t in his arms made you restless. head cloudy with anticipation, you shuffled over to where he was stood in front of the hob, delicately shaping a pancake into a heart.

you ran your hands across his shoulder blades and down his back, finding their home as they wrapped around his waist, pulling your bodies impossibly closer. you nuzzled your head into the nape of his neck, your lungs drowning in the familiar scent of coffee and cinnamon, engulfed with thoughts of your perfect boyfriend.

he calmly turned around in your arms so that you could see his face, guiding them up to drape over his shoulders, as his own hands comfortably rested on your waist. a smile curved across his lips, so soft they were almost begging to be kissed, as he tucked your unruly bed hair behind your ear. you could feel the heat radiating from his skin as his hand grazed your cheek, making the tips of your ears glow.

as you intuitively leant into his warmth, his hand found its way to your hair. as he began to thread the strands through his attentive fingers, you hummed in appreciation, your cool hands travelling back down his chest. you tucked them under his shirt, feeling him wince at the sudden cold contact, while you leant back slightly to let your eyes trace his features.

you tilted your face up to meet his, giving him a small peck which left him with only the lingering warmth from your lips, before diving your head back into his chest, leaving him slightly dazed. he lightly squeezed his arms around your waist, letting his head fall gently onto your shoulder as he whined at the fleetness of your kiss.

you glanced back up as he lifted his head, meeting his chocolate brown eyes, before resting your gaze on his lips again; this was more than enough of a sign for daeyeol. he scooped you up in his arms, swinging you around as delicately as possible, before capturing your lips in an amorous kiss. his hand trailed up to the back of your neck as his grip on your waist tightened, closing any possible gap between your bodies.

his lips were like rain in july, an intense bliss and such an acute sense of comfort that no-one else could ever provide. you kissed him like he was the first taste of water on your lips after walking a desert, as if it was the last kiss you would ever share. 

you pulled away from his firm grip, letting your eyes wander back up into his. every breath you took smelled like cinnamon and you wondered how you had ever survived without his coffee eyes, filled with adoration as he studied yours.
