video deblurring software
Tumblr media
Image Enhancement software is also useful in removing image degradation caused by the blurring processes, such as optical blurs, motion blurs, atmospheric turbulence blurs, general nature Gaussian blurs, diffraction blurs, blurs whose shape (kernel) can be adaptively computed. Deblurring is a staple in forensic image and video processing software. Check out these deblurring features in Cognitech Video Investigator.
36. A large assortment of deblur filters options provide tools for every type of blur problem including motion, defocus, optical, Gaussian averaging, and custom.
37. The Adaptive Deblur filter (ADF) with Interactive Blind Deconvolution (#), unlike any other traditional deblurring filters, ADF deblurs images and videos without any prior exact knowledge of the blurring process and blurring Point Spread Function (PSF Kernel). ADF computationally estimates the blur from a blurred image and allows the end-user to remove complex non-linear blur in many cases when the standard filters like Motion, Gaussian, Outof-Focus filters fail. This class of filters are called Blind Deconvolution and are currently subject of the intense research by the scientific community. Cognitech has developed its proprietary (US Patents) Adaptive Blind Deconvolution technology which it is provided exclusively to the end-users of TriSuite64. ADF has two modes of operation: (i) Large Non-Linear Motion, Shaking, 'Overlay' Blur. This can solve for blurs generated by a sudden large camera motion (e.g. helmet mounted cam in a car accident, Police body cam in physical altercation) or blurs in a fixed camera with the subject/object undergoing curvilinear motion (rotation while moving). The new feature in TriSuite64 is end-users' ability to visually fit the Adaptive Blur Kernel not only to the 3D motion trajectory causing the blur, but also match the motion velocity for more exact deblurring.
38. (ii) CSI Deblur: Known Crime Scene with Unknown Blur: Cognitech's Proprietary uniquely SCI approach to the deblurring task. We designed a deblurring algorithm that can use the photos of the Crime Scene to determine the best blurring Kernel PSF and apply it to the surveillance video with objects and subjects no longer in the Crime Scene.
39. The Adaptive Blur filter (#) computationally estimates the blur from a blurred image and allows the end-user to remove complex non-linear blur from any evidence image leading to highly accurate blur removal.
40. The Motion Deblur filter (#) automatically determines the motion direction and length from velocity estimation and removes the estimated motion blur.
41. The Sharpen filter is a simple  for producing sharper, clearer images. 73. The Wiener Deblur filter applies any of the available deblur kernels using the Wiener method for fast and accurate blur removal.
42. The Total Variation Deblur filter (#) is a general method, discovered by Cognitech. This filter applies any of the available deblur kernels using the Total Variation method in order to retain edges and minimize visual artifacts, such as ringing, which are commonly associated with traditional blur removal.

Guide To Forensic Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry is the science and technology of obtaining reliable information about physical objects and the environment through the process of recording, measuring and interpreting photographic images and patterns of electromagnetic radiant imagery and other phenomena.
It is used as forensic video analysis software where photogrammetry is used to produce an accurate bio-metric measurement of a suspect’s dimensions (e.g. height), and crime scene measurements from surveillance video and photographs.
Tumblr media
Photogrammetry can be a very powerful tool in forensic analysis. It can be used to preserve or recover measurement data long after the on-scene investigation has concluded. This is valuable as it can often be months before an investigator re-examines a scene and discovers a new piece of important evidence that he does not have measurements for.
Photogrammetry can be used in a broad range of practical forensic applications, including:
Crush measurement on damaged vehicles
Skid mark measurement
Bullet trajectory determination
Shoe and tire print scanning
Blood spatter measurement
Suspect height recovery
Accident and crime scene mapping and diagramming
Tumblr media
While forensic photogrammetry has many benefits, it is important to note that not all images can be used for photogrammetric reconstruction. There are many crime scene reconstruction software used by experts in order to solve the mystery of the case. You can refer to https://cognitech.com/cognitech-automeasure-64/ to know more about it.
Many accidents and crime scene photographers are unknowingly wasting the opportunity to capture good geometric data when a few small adjustments to their process could result in “photogrammetry-ready” images.
As a general rule, your photographs should adhere to the CARDS criteria:
Consistency: The photos are taken with the same camera, zoom and lighting settings.
Angles: Photos of the scene have been taken from various angles.
Reference: There are objects in the photos whose measurements have been taken as a reference.
Distinguishable features: The important objects on the scene, as well as their physical features, should be easily distinguishable on your photos (at least 2 or 3 photos showing each feature).
Size: The important objects are large enough relative to the size of the entire photo.
If you follow these best practices, your photos should be of sufficient quality for photogrammetric purposes. However, do note that the specific requirements of each scene can vary. When in doubt, it is always best to consult with a photogrammetry expert, to see if your photos can be used for an accurate reconstruction.

Navigate to this website to learn how rugged tablet can be used for accurate real-time measurements.
New techniques and equipment are constantly being developed to assist the law enforcement officer with the challenges of the “every scene, every time” concept.
Photogrammetry can be a very valuable part of the forensic toolkit. For an investigator or reconstructionist, it can provide better information about an accident or crime scene. When applied correctly, photogrammetric analysis can make the critical difference that solves a criminal investigation or wins an important case.

Forensic Video Authentication
Forensic Video Authentication
Video Investigator is the latest major release of the world's first forensic video processing software suite, the ultimate video enhancement, clarification and 3D analysis package. It includes over 100 Real-Time Preview modules that process and analyze analog and digital surveillance video and still images from CCTV cameras, phones and portable devices. Video Investigator empowers investigators and forensic video analysts to extract the best evidence, computing faster and more intuitively than the competition. It is also the only software technology in the world that is capable of processing any part of any frame with individual parameters.
Tumblr media
Forensic Video authentication has similarities to audio authentication in that it is always best to preserve the original recording to remove all doubt about genuineness. When the original recording is not available, the video forensic expert has to investigate several aspects of the video recording, including the metadata and hex information, to determine if a video recording has been edited. Much of the video authentication process is scientific. The video forensic expert not only investigates the elements of the video recording itself, but also investigates the way the video recording surfaced, how it was created and the type of equipment that was used to create the video recording in question.
Being a leader in Forensic Image & Video Processing Software domain, the company provides Forensic Video Certification and Training programs.
  FORENSIC VIDEO AUTHENTICATION PROCESS:
1. Set up that of the quality of the recording in question is acceptable and workable
2. Proof checking for later recognizable proof by the forensic expert
3. Physical review of the proof for explicit qualities that are noted by the master
3. Digital data imaging and playback enhancement
4. Analyze the electronically recorded data on the computerized or simple video signal.
5. Vector and Waveform scope examination to distinguish oddities
6. Miscellaneous analysis based on the investigation thus far
7. Work notes and work item
8. Making a forensic report
