Pages 79-81

Ok so this pause was longer than anticipated. January was dog shit but February has been much more productive. Almost a whole month without a Wings update AAAAA!!

Ok I know this blog is only for my 9 stuff but I might make a general hub for art soon. I just want to post this here cause I’m a massive PATFW fan. It’s what inspired me to post 7’s Wings and NineSuns on Tumblr!

This is a PMV concept about Slugpelt, the mother of the protagonist Pinepaw. And she had some mommy issues with Dustfeather so I wanted to make a PMV about Slugpelt. Basically if she had time to talk to Dustfeather’s corpse and say whatever she wanted to her, now that she’s long dead, I bet it would be a cathartic moment for Slugpelt. She’d berate her mother for her favoritism for Rainhaze, her general neglect, and her fear that she’d become just like her when she had her own litter of kittens.

Some stuff for a follow-up 7 comic called “Heart Of A Warrior”

Following 7’s Wings and sometime after the film, 7 has to face her biggest enemies yet. Her mind, and the horrors it conjures up. Her Soul Wings become a mainstay in her dreams, and she becomes more adept at lucid-dreaming, but with new sources of trauma following the events of the film, these “Horrors” that she calls them, her PTSD gets worse, her nights become restless, and her confidants can only do so much to calm her.

A ref sheet of 7’s “Soul Wings”

After 7 learned how to lucid dream in Arc 2, her soul wings became a mainstay. Mainly as a way of showing that she has control over her mind, but also to defend against the horrors her mind conjures up as a result of her PTSD. Either by flying out of the line of fire, or by other means.

I know the comic has been on somewhat of a pause. Not necessarily a hiatus cause the comic had periods (usually around 2 weeks) where there weren’t any updates. But it’s been almost 3 weeks since my last update. Some factors have played into the pause, such as depression, political anxiety, and the start of my original series NineSuns. But I’m wrapping this comic up, and am gonna release the final set of pages, hopefully soon. I’ll also include a 7 page epilogue that takes place post-film.

She’s back!!!

Wanted to play with the idea that the twins willingly went off with 7. Mainly because 1 likely prohibited them from pursuing knowledge about the Emptiness but also because the twins didn’t want 7 to be completely isolated.

Was originally going to stick to posting 5 pages per post but I wasn’t able to this time cause of how busy I was.

UPDATE ABOUT 7’S WINGS ⬇️

The next pages of 7’s Wings will most likely be posted on December 27th. The comic is drawing to a close, so I hope y’all enjoyed it. I definitely developed a sentimental attachment towards 7’s Wings considering the fact that some scenes were used as a way of processing some anger I had towards my own father. I won’t get into the details cause it’s irrelevant but nonetheless it’s been a great experience getting back into making webcomics. After the comic is done, I will immediately start an original comic series, which will be posted at @ninesuns2025
