My Journey's End
The beginning of this project starts with the very first song (with lyrics) that Billy Joel ever wrote. He was 14-15 years old and recorded it with his first band, The Lost Souls, in 1964.

Well I'd climb the highest mountain
And I'd swim the deepest sea
If I knew you were there at my journey's end
Waiting for me
Well I can tell how much that you love me
By the letters that you send
And I'd go anywhere if I knew you were waiting there
At my journey's end
Now I may travel to the ends of the earth
but it really doesn't matter where I'd stay
I'll come back some day
Now I'd cross the widest prairie
And I'd send the highest plane
If I knew you were there at my journeys end to be mine
For the rest of my days
Now it really doesn't matter
How many things I may send
'Cause I'd go anywhere if I knew you were waiting there
At my journey's end

Billy's thoughts: "This song sucks" "you gotta start somewhere"
