Hi everyone! I'm happy to announce I'll be opening up commissions.
This post will go through all the relevant information and terms of commissioning me. Pricing and payment info is at the bottom of the post. This should answer most of your questions, but if you have any doubts then don't be afraid to send me a DM to ask =-)
My commissions submission form is here.
This first commission window will be until the end of August.
Please read through everything in this post before submitting!
General Info
My artwork is traditional art in monochrome (black and white). I will draw dragons and related draconic creatures such as wyverns, drakes, lindwyrms, etc - all included here under the term 'dragon' for simplicity. Anthropomorphic dragons may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to inquire! I do not do backgrounds at the moment.
I do two sizes of commissions: head and full-body. Head pieces will display the dragon's head and neck down to the shoulders and beginning of the upper chest. These take up roughly half a page of A4 paper. Full-body pieces are exactly that, and take up a full side of A4.
Commissions may be for an existing design, such as your original character (OC) and dragons from existing media, or a completely new design to be created by me.
I retain the right to decline taking on a commission if it contains content I would not like to engage with.
After I receive your commission request form, I'll contact you via email to inform you of your position in my request queue. We'll then discuss the idea you have in mind - the pose, general theme, number of dragons, expression, lighting, and so on - until we reach agreement.
You can expect to receive a draft sketch within 5 days of me formally accepting taking on your commission. If the commission is for a sketch, then you will receive the final piece within that same time frame! If you have commissioned lineart or a full-detail piece, we'll discuss the sketch to see if you're happy with how it's going. Upon your acceptance of this sketch, you will receive the final piece within 2 weeks from that date. The final piece will be a high quality image of the artwork.
If you are commissioning artwork depicting your OC, I would appreciate having a full visual reference sheet. However, this isn't absolutely necessary, and I can use a written description or other partial visual references instead.
New dragon designs
I'm happy to create a new design based on your prompts! We'll discuss this thoroughly to make sure it matches what you have in mind.
Highly complex designs, or those that require many revisions, may be subject to an additional cost of $5-20.
The final character is yours to use and modify as you wish. However, I would very much appreciate being linked/tagged as the original creator in any future work depicting this character!
Graphic content
Mild to moderate blood/gore is fine. I do not accept commissions with sexually explicit content. If you're unsure about any other sensitive content, just ask.
Privacy
By default, I will post completed commissions on this art blog - please let me know if you would like yours to be private. In this case, I will not post it or reveal the commissioner's identity: you alone will receive the piece. For commissions that I do post publicly, you may choose whether you'd like to be tagged/mentioned by name in the post or not.
Minor color details
I can add small flat color details, such as colored eyes, for free upon request.
Payment terms
I accept payment via PayPal, which I will send you a link to via email. This is strongly preferred but if you need an alternative arrangement we can sort something out.
Payment for sketches is given upfront upon my confirmation of taking the commission. Payment for other pieces is given upon your acceptance of my initial sketch.
I do not offer refunds.
An additional dragon may be added to the same piece for 70% of the original cost, up to a maximum of 3 dragons per piece.

Hi all - firstly, I'd like to thank everyone for helping me cross the 3000 follower threshold!
I'd like to gauge potential interest in doing commissions for dragon artwork.
If I were to proceed with this I would be taking these on from roughly August to December, with a variety of options including head & full-body sketches, clean linework, and fully shaded pieces, all in B/W. I would be open to both new design prompts, or your existing original dragons (with a provided reference).
I'd appreciate letting me know of your thoughts via the poll, or through the replies. If there's sufficient interest I'll look further into exact terms, pricing, etc.
Some examples of my work below:

Just a little guy I drew on a piece of card. I've been eager to work on this new dragon's design, but I've got my thesis defense in a couple weeks' time - wish me luck! =-)
