Anaheim City Records
The City of Anaheim provides access to different types of public records. Some of these records can be accessed online, by mail or by walking into designated locations. Others may require presenting a government-issued ID or submitting a notarized sworn statement. Compared to other major cities, Anaheim records are slightly harder to obtain. If certain records prove too elusive, using the search tools offered on sites such as StateRecords.org may help.
Crime Statistics
Data released for Anaheim in 2017 reveal that the city recorded a total 10,548 crime incidents, made up of 9,286 cases of property crime and 1,253 cases of violent crime. Larceny-theft was the most common crime accounting for 60.3% of total crimes. Burglary, assault, and rape made up 12.8%, 6.1%, and 1.1% respectively. Anaheim's crime rate was 1% higher than the average, compared to other parts of the state, and 9% higher than the national average. With 8.18 crimes per 100,000 residents, the city was safer than 30% of the cities in the U.S.
