A Familiar Place

It's been a while, and I'm excited to show what I've been working on since February in preparation for my first convention! I've always had a love for liminal spaces so it brings me joy how much attention they've been getting as of late!

I wanted to do a series of drawings of such spaces based on my own travels. Though, I didn't think my usual mediums were going to cut it to create what I wanted, so I ended up having to learn how to paint with gouache. Gouache was totally new to me so trying to create these illustrations and learn at the same time was definitely a challenge!

I've made these into letter size prints and postcards, and will be available this weekend at Awesome Con!

I redid my very first illustration of Magnus. (The original piece was a rough concept, so the painting was also quite loose when I did it for the "Witchsona" prompt years ago.) y'know how . the tv show psych is about an amateur sleuth pretending to be a psychic - playing at having "visions" when he's just deducing shit? yeah herlock sholmes is the opposite of that. he's an amateur psychic pretending to be a detective and uses random crap to guide his "logic and reasoning"
