Mental health is Important
Aspirants should understand that mental health is more important than scoring good marks. One failure won’t decide their future but regular stress and mental discomfort can completely break it. Rather, one must embrace failures to learn and unlearn, and lead a happy life.

Power of strong search for light
When everyone had left the hope , almost switched off their TV sets and did not want to talk about the poor performance of Team India against Afghanistan in Cricket world Cup match yesterday , players in the ground were searching for a light to click . It was because of their search they could get one and came out victorious . Congratulations Team India for not getting affected with the impatient reactions of people outside the ground and continued their game with sportsman spirit .

Purpose & Reason for Journalism
Journalists should  regain their sense of pride to pose probing questions, to demand accountability, to seek answers, and to speak truth to power. Because that is not only the purpose of journalism but also the reason for journalism to survive as a discipline.

How much important to have our MLA/MP as Minister !
While going through the concerns by people in various parts of the country in not giving a ministerial berth to their MLA or MP , I wondered if there is any special substantial benefit than some peanuts that could come to their constituency just because he/she was a minister ( there may be rare exceptions basing on the super personality of the leader) . Rather for the people it is a benefit when their representative is free from responsibility of a particular ministry as he/she would be more available to the commonman to carry forward their challenges to the next step of solution . Lets stand with our MLAs and MPs so that Our immediate region and the state at large gets the benefit of their active presence around us rather than wasting our time in shedding tears over they not getting a minister post . Lets answer a question : Which is Easier to reach for common man ! A Minister's Residence or An MP & MLA's Residence ! Think and Act !

Resignation wont inspire workers in Congress
On the face of poor performance of Congress in the 2019 elections in the country state Congress presidents in different states including Rahul Gandhi are sharing thoughts of resigning from their posts in the party .I think resignation or taking responsibility of the defeat is not the solution .But for a party like Congress it need to stand firm with its workers , work better at grassroots , update the strategies in raising the issues of grassroots in appropriate platforms so as to explore possibilities for future . India needs strong opposition as much as a strong government in power .

Are we really well prepared to face Cyclones !
And we Say Odisha is an experienced state facing Cyclones and are well prepared ! Are we really ! Read the following and think for a while if we had learned from them or just witnessed them silently asking others to help . The Odisha government on Friday thanked the Andhra Pradesh government for its timely support through Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) which helped minimise loss to properties and human lives in the super cyclone Fani.Ever since it was found that cyclone Fani was moving towards Odisha coast, the RTGS volunteered to extend its support to Odisha .RTGS, whose command and control system is located in Andhra Pradesh secretariat at Amaravati, has been continuously monitoring the movement of Fani right from the day of its formation . Here is the question . Amaravati is the state capital of the newborn 5 years old state of Andhra Pradesh and was equipped with the technology to monitor Cyclone while a state which had taken pain of Cyclones for generations could not think of having such a hub rather than just being thankful to others for their support . Preparedness is not only shifting people but getting equipped with latest technology and people to use them in the best interest of the state . Think and Act ...

Odisha needs preparedness for future in better way
Dear friends ! It gives a sense of relief by learning that human life was saved for the great preparedness by different stakeholders of development including the state & central government agencies . While it needs an introspection to examine if the 10,000 electric poles and numerous trees in Bhubaneswar could have been saved with technical applications & vigilant pre-preparedness , I would like to share some of my thought aswell purely as my take .Here are they : Still a long way to celebrate if we look into the preparedness as a state taking all corners of the state into consideration .Till now disaster preparedness orientation at grassroots equipping the village youth to deal with specific kind of disaster not done .Hence some external people had to reach to show their skills in villages .Youth of Koraput need to be trained on dealing with flash flood which was different from flood in coastal region .Realisation that wind in the mountain is different from the coast was yet to be realised .No effort has been made to equip village youth on how to detect the landslide possibility , prevent and work on restoration in such a condition when happens .The vision is still specific area centric that has been hit for years , coastal desaster centric .The state of Odisha needs to realise it's diversity both in beauty and also disaster & devastation .Till now when the state metrological department says that Odisha will be or not be affected mostly it remains silent about its specific prediction of areas like Koraput as if Koraput was outside Odisha .There need to be more meteorological stations in other parts of the state to keep the state update itself .May we have the better approaches covering seen and unseen possibilities or else natural disasters would be just experience for some while will never be a learning .The nature of disaster is changing .Hence we need to be able to see the future and prepare for the future challenges as Future is going to be more disasterous , more furious and more varied .Regards , Chelapila Santakar

Depression is the largest Killer
Depression is now the single largest illness in the world; suicide is the second leading cause of death among adolescents and young adults; and almost half of all mental illnesses begin by the age of 14. At the same time, the psychosocial stressors experienced by children cannot be ignored either. These include the growing pressure of academics and competitive entrance examinations

On Encroachment !
When someone steals items from your house , even if thief is not caught you make Security guard answerable .But surprisingly when government loses its land in encroachment , only the encroacher is punished with lose of property while the Choukidars in the administration who were a part of the land encroachment session remained unaffected . More so many a times they are also seen in the team who demolish the encroachment .Should those officials responsible who keep their eyes closed ( may be with an open pocket & purse) at the time of encroachment be punished even if they were retired at the time of demolition ! This could be beneficial in protecting the assets rather than crying over lost land .Think !
