Closing post 1: What will become of this blog?

So yeah... I decided to close this particular blog. “Come-to-the-day”, my first and main kink blog so far, the oldest and biggest.

I simply do not have the same time and energy to devote to online blogs as I had back when I was a teenager - because I was a teen when I opened it. Studies were easy, free time was plenty, the Internet was still to be explored... But now my life has changed, things have changed, I have accumulated several years of cartoons, comic books, webcomics, movies, video games... My Youtube playlists and histories, and several files on my computer are stuffed with examples of weight gain, stuffing or bloating in fiction... at one point too much is too much. I want to do something else (and I already started by giving much more time and energy to my regular, non-kink blogs). I don’t have the time and/or desire to spend hours putting together pictures and writing texts.

Not that I am entirely out of the kink community, do not worry! I am definitively still here. But let’s say I will be less active than before. I will make posts from time to time, but mostly return to commenting and supporting kink artists, and enjoying kink content as a simple audience. A simpler life. 

So, what is going to happen?

“come-to-the-day” is closed. But it doesn’t mean the blog will disappear. It just means that I will stop posting on it or claiming the blog is active. Officially, it will become an archive as soon as I did my three “closing posts”. I will still leave the Ask section open, because some people find my blog to be an easier platform for sightings and spotting kink in media than the Big Cartoon Wiki. I think I will keep relaying and posting the asks and suggestions I receive - just to inform people. But yeah, the blog will be fully inactive. AND BE CAREFUL! I am still watching over my activity and if I see anyone hijack my posts or spam going around, be sure I’ll strike.

My other kink blogs are still fully open and active. I will focus my kink force there, in fact I plan to do reblogs from the oldest posts of “come-to-the-day” to these ones.

@thefatteningpicture is my side kink-blog for all things comic books and bande-dessinées 

@afatlotofchance is where I talk kink/fatness/weight gain/bloating/stuffing tropes, characters, story ideas, and where I offer freely to the world ideas of stories, settings, OCs and the like (everything is explained there)

These three are still open and active (though activity is slow, I definitively won’t close them, they are still relatively small and young, especially afatlotofchance). But let’s just say that these blogs, by being more specialized and limited, make me feel a bit “free”. While I liked at one moment being an alternative to the Big Cartoon Wiki, it quickly became a bit of a burden, not just because my creativity and personal input was crushed by my posts about media sightings, but also because I started taking care of several other blogs, my own life became more busy, and I became involved in a real-life Wiki (plus the Big Cartoon Wiki has gotten so much better in these last years, I strongly suggest you keep looking an eye out for it, they keep finding new stuff everywhere). 

This was the first post, the post of future.

I’ll probably make the second post another day. Call that a post of warning and of revenge.

Since you seem to enjoy men being fattened to be eaten, there's a couple of comics you might like called "Life of Riley" and a remake of it called "Swamp Monsters". And here is another comparison of the Bugs Bunny weight gain.

I selected the picture on the right because it actually shows Bugs with the most of chins. I’ll explain. In the episode, when we discover “Obese Bugs” for the first time, there is a series of shots where he gets closer and closer. When he is at the closest, his face also spots more chins than before. The first line, behind his teeth, is actually his lower lips. The line right under his teeth is his usual chin (compare with the thin picture). Then there is his big double chin - and we see here a tiny triple chin right behind it. Underneath it, it is actually his neck turned into one huge fat roll - since it goes in the front too, should it be considered a chin too? Or am I thinking this too much? Anyway.

I tried to find the best picture I could find to compare it to his usual thinness but it is not very conclusive because, well, I didn’t had any other picture where he stard directly into the camera, so to speak. I still managed to aligne the teeth/first chin/eyes.

You could say that when it comes to Looney Tunes characters, I have my “trinity of fatness”.

My favorite weight gain of Bugs Bunny is probably the most iconic one. “Bobcats on three”, from the Looney Tunes Show. As I mentionned in a previous post, the Looney Tunes Show actually added to Bugs Bunny’s personality the trait of easily falling into addictions. As a result it was explored several times - he one time had a caffeine and energy drinks addiction, another time he became addicted to a video game. In this episode, it explored this trait as “food addiction” - though actually the real addiction was butter. He became addicted to Porky’s food because it contained high levels of butter, and at one time even bit into a stick of butter, believing it to be a Porky’s recipe. 

Here is just a quick before/after shot so you can admire how big Bugs truly is, and the beautiful set of double chin he developped. (Or triple chin? I do not know exactly... when the first chin becomes bigger and softer, does it count as a double chin or just as one regular chin?)

Would you count that episode of Panty and Stocking called Inner Brief because there's some belly expansion in that one.

Oh the one where they are inside of his belly? Yeah, I quite liked the expansion there I have to admit. I just hadn’t heard of it in years Xp

The Monkey King and male pregnancy

Did you know that Journey to the West, one of the greatest epics of Chinese culture and the tale of the Monkey King Sun Wukong, contained male pregnancy? 

 As you know, Sun Wukong travels with his master (Sanzang the religious man tasked with doing the Journey to the West) and his companions, Sandy and Pigsy (the later being a fat, gluttonous, lustful pig-monster). In chapter 53, the group stops by a river, of which Sanzang and Pigsy drink the water. Soon after...

 "Master and disciples had been going less than an hour on the road west when Sanzang started to groan. "My stomach's hurting". "I've got the belly ache too." said Pig, who was behind him. "It must be because you drunk cold water." said Friar Sand, only to be interrupted by the groans of "Its agony." from his master and Pig. The two of them were in unbearable pain and their abdomen were gradually swelling. When they felt with their hands there was something like a lump of flesh and blood moving and jerking around incessantly." 

 The group seeks help and medecine at a local house. 

"The two of them were groan in agony from their protruding bellies" 

 The locals reveal that the two do not suffer from a stomach ache but are actually pregnant. You see, this land is the Land of Women, where only women live, and the river they drank from is the Motherhood River whose waters can make people pregnant. Not just pregnant, but that's an extra-fast pregnancy where the baby arrives in a few days. Or even in one day, in this case: the pain the two men experiment, and that grows stronger and more atrocious with every hour, are labor pains. 

 Pigsy of course becomes terrified at this prospect of having a child, wondering where it will come out. To which Monkey answers: As the old saying goes, the melon falls when it is ripe. When the time comes, a hole will open under your rips for it to be born through.

There is however a solution to this problem, the “Miscariage Spring” whose waters can stop the magical pregnancies of the Motherhood River. However its waters are fiercely guarded by a Taoist master/immortal, so Monkey and Sandy have to go and fight the guardian to steal the water away from him. 

Finally they return and see “Pig leaning against the door, and groaning with his big belly sticking out.” The local women tell the two pregnant males to drink only one gulp of the magical water, as it is enough to stop the pregnancy. Pigsy wants to drink a bucketfull, because he drank a lot of the Motherhood waters and wants to be absolutely sure he won’t give birth. But the women warn him - saying that a bucketfull of Miscarriage Waters would certainly dissolve his internal organs. 

And indeed, one gulp is enough to stop the pregnancy. But that is done in a progressive way. The two men still feel intense pain, as their bellies rumble and slowly un-swell, and after a few hours they have to go really fast to the lavatory to relieve themselves of all the excess flesh and blood, now reduced as liquid (and while Sanzang can relieve himself in proper areas, Pigsy can’t hold himself and is mentionned to soil where he stands).

Question, has there been any weight in the anime Monster Rancher? I can't find any of it on the bigcartoon wiki, yet I am sure that I have seen screenshots of weight gain from Monster Rancher.

Monster Rancher? ... I have to say I have never heard of the anime, and never heard of any case of weight gain it... 

But I might as well ask people around! Anyone know of weight gains in Monster Rancher? Plus, if you ever want to check, the full episodes are put officially in English on Youtube!

Glad my years of vampire study could be useful :)

A lot of people are so focused on the modern mediatic representation of vampires they forget to look up at the original legends and myths of the creature, which contains tons of fascinating and interesting ideas.

For exemple I know one breed of vampire in European folklore (I think it is a Slavic legend though it might also be Greek I need to check) can be recognized by the fact they grow a monkey tail after becoming an undead (and said tail gets bigger when they drink blood, being very small when hungry but very big after they feed)

There’s a ton of fascinating stuff about the “original” vampires Xp

Hmm... how about one of your favorite vampires having indulged on too much (and too rich!) blood? Stuffed/bloated and/or WG having a bit of a wardrobe malfunction? (strained/popped vest or shirt buttons?) If you are feelin' it. ^_^

AAA yes hi this is very very good!! I whipped out my fave vampire OC Lorien for this and I might have gone a lil hard with the colouring but hehe I blushed quite a lot

Random trivia of the day: Vampires and inflation/bloating/weight gain is canon in folklore Xp

I mean in the original legends vampires come from (Eastern/Central Europe), when vampires drank blood they bloated. You could recognize an undead by how puffy and bulging they looked. In fact, a sign for recognizing a vampire is when you looked at the corpse of somebody in their grave, and it looked like they had GAINED WEIGHT after their death. There are numerous official records saying corpses of vampire were as fat as hogs, or downright obese (some couldn’t even be pulled out of their coffins)

[Though people never agreed on whether the corpse was simply bloated and filled with blood like a balloon or blood bag, or if the blood actually made them “gain flesh” and grow fat - both variations exist]

So yeah, kink is canon in vampire folklore Xp They are definitively the sexiest monsters for EVERYONE

Answer: the dehumanization of the kink artist. 

(This is a follow-up to another long rant but anyway)

A thing I noticed personally was my behavior when I started in the kink community. I had taken the habit of either liking or faving works, and that was it. Liking what I personally deeply enjoyed, faving great pieces of art, and looking at the rest but then floating over it saying to myself someone else will comment and like it. But then, when I opened my own kink blog and started putting posts asking for particiation or asking questions - silence. Utter and total silence.

This is when I realized how important communication was. To follow someone silently is utterly useless to support the person. That’s why I took the habit to not just fave pieces I like but also to comment them, ask questions, get a bit involved, answer when the artists puts question or relay warning messages. I tried to do that more often, because I realized how unpleasant it was to not have any human interaction. Unfortunately a lot of people still do not seem to get it. Sure the kink community is about finding personal pleasure - but ultimately, one cannot just thrive on self-pleasure alone. When someone creates and shares creation it is for someone else, and even kink art stays art. People seem to treat kink art differentely than regular art, seeing it as... not art I guess? 

Though I know also some kink artists are over-sensitive or rather became very touchy on certain subjects due to past negative events and then explode at innocent askers who honestly ignored all about it - and as a result people tend to be afraid to speak out. But there are also the silent watchers. Though, between them and the creeps and psychos, it is hard to choose which option is the best... 

Anyway, I actually think this person did not meant they weren’t reblogging all your art, but simply that they would not reblog your Matsu art specifically but would reblog all the rest (which is something understandable, I know I would not at all reblog some character art I am not into or who I dislike the design of). Though I admit it is not that useful in the subject at hand (which is years long troubles). 

Right now I am getting closer to midnight here, so honestly my brain is going fuzzy and messy after a long day of work and travels. So yeah this might not all make sense but I am just throwing out there what I know and just speaking because it has been so long since I have spoken there, and I actually never said all those things (or I said them a long time ago and things did not change much, or rather I remember at one time things got better, then they got worse) and right now I am feeling my words are not putting themselves together correctly and I will soon write down gibberish, so I’ll end this reblog here and good night everyone see you tomorrow

About your vent. For me personally; i don't care about the matsu's at all so I'm less likely to reblog it

Whelp... that makes me extremely sad. 

I don’t see why them being characters you don’t care about would make you less likely to share it if you genuinely think the art is good.

Believe me, I reblog art all the time and have no earthly idea who the characters even are because I’m old and don’t keep up with any popular fandoms. It’s never stopped me from wanting to share someone’s art because I like it and I want them to succeed. 

And also, like I said... I’ve been experiencing this for years (at least 10) it was the same when I was exclusively drawing OC’s and comics. I’ve been drawing ‘matsus on and off for I dunno, maybe 2 years? So giving up drawing something that I actually love because someone refuses to reblog it even if they like my art like... that doesn’t seem worth it at all. It wouldn’t change anything.

But wow... I’m really having a hard time wrapping my head around why on earth someone would outright refuse to support/share an artist’s work that they like simply because they “don’t care” about the characters they drew...

I mean, I assume you like my work... unless you’re like hate-following me...

I found back some screenshots I had taken of the sumo episode from CatDog. Originally these were taken to compare the two stages of fatness of the eponymous... creature (they spent most of the episode “sumo-sized” but at the very end grow even bigger to defeat an opponent so I tried to see the difference between the two)

An interestring trivia.

Everybody must have seen the “Bugs Bunny” weight gain episode here : Bobcats on Three!, en episode of The Lonney Tunes Show (2011) where Bugs Bunny gets addicted to Porky’s food delivery service (meals that are very heavy with fat, sugar and butter) and grows a potbelly before becoming obese. 

Something not many people know is that this weight gain episode didn’t just come out of the blue. In “The Looney Tunes Show”, it was decided that one of Bugs Bunny character traits would be a tendency to become addicted to things quite easily. On top of this specific episode which shows him gain a food addiction (butter addiction?), there was another about Bugs fighting with a coffee and caffeine addiction only to become hooked on highly chemical energy drinks, and a third about Bugs becoming addicted to a video game. 

This is also linked to another trait of character Bugs has in The Looney Tunes Show: obsession, coupled with an unwillingness to admmit his mistakes. A good exemple of it is the episode “The Shelf” where he attempts to build a shelf by himself despite having no experiment in home-modelling, carpentry or just usual home work before. As he tries he keeps making mistakes that damage the house, but refuses to admit them or to ask for help, trying to prove he can put the shelf by himself, until he ends up spending ungodly amounts of money on tools to repair the damages he keeps doing and destroying the entire house in an attempt to put the shelf no matter what. 

(All of this seems also tied to the fact that Bugs Bunny, in this version, lived such a, nice and easy life that he became “sheltered” in a way and lost touch with some basic aspects of life - in fact, we know that he finds deeply fascinating stuff that he personally never knew or barely heard of, and that other people hate, such as office jobs. Or prison. Yes. PRISON. As a result, he seems to be much more vulnerable to addictive stuff, not having built a “resistance” to it. But this is more on the theory and character analysis side)

OR so you think! Actually this picture was spread on social media as an official picture - if you see on the corner there are the official symbols of the French Ministry of Health, and the slogan “Obesity begins at the youngest age”. But in truth, it was not an official picture, and not made by the Ministry. It was simply someone online that created it. Why or how? I do not know.
