Introduction!

Hi, I am J. J. I'm a 19-year-old neurodivergent Latin American artist, musician, writer, and poet. I will be using this Tumblr blog to keep my projects and ideas in one place, and possibly reaching an audience, as other platforms have not been as helpful.

The posts in this blog will be about my everyday artistic activity, ranging from low-fidelity MS Paint doodles to a more ambitious creative vision.

My goal as an artist and storyteller is to share my vision and experience with a public and speak on the importance of art in education and overall human growth. In a social system where mindless productivity is valued over inventiveness, I believe artistic education is vital for the development of not only sensitivity, but critical thinking and abstraction skills.

consider the headcanon that susie saved noelle when they were kids.

do you think susie is intimidated to approach noelle since she's 1) possibly the most popular girl in school 2) the "pretty" girl 3) an athlete + extensively academic

susie doesn't strike me as afraid to do something but probably compares herself to others.,..,

ooooh i like this idea!! i like to think that susie is a bit intimidated by noelle mainly because susie seems like, before the dark world, the type that gets VERY caught off guard by… basic kindness. she seems to respect people that are kind to her, enough for her to value that kindness. i think it def caught her off guard to be approached by one of the schools more popular students and treated with such kindness, that yea, it makes susie a bit intimidated.

this could also add on to why susie might potentially be nervous to approach noelle. she knows that noelle for some reason saw good in susie to not be outright rude and outcasting towards her like noelles peers (minus kris) and i think that does make it hard for susie to approach noelle. in a sort of ‘she doesnt want to ruin whatever noelle sees in her’ way?

She would LOVE forget-me-nots!!! the flower of true love AND good memories??? she has a lot to remember. her friendship with the Dreemurrs, her sister, days where her mom was home and not tough on her... Susie. The Darkworld. Her dreams.

If someone gives Kris their flower, they won't say anything but they'll think about it all day. They don't let information about their past get away easy.

If they didn't get the choice to pick moss, they'd love the lotus. Born in mud, die in mud, then come back. In many Eastern cultures, they signify rebirth, self-regeneration, purity and enlightenment. Kris knows about the Player, Kris can break free from them, they can die but they'll always come back...

Okay Berdly realistically probably doesn't like flowers because he probably doesn't have a green thumb but... Bluebells! He will rant about why blue is clearly the best color and why these flowers are unmatched... but these flowers represent gratefulness in friendships and humility. He really does care about the people he loves he just.... doesn't know how to show it.

RAIN IN HOMETOWN HUH. HUH. HUH.

deltarune headcanon time:

Susie loves the rain. Like. REALLY loves it.

she loves that she can't see the sky and there's colors reflecting herself in the sky. It's not disgustingly bright but it's not dark.

People always run from the rain, she notices. Are they afraid of it? Of what the rain will do to them? They'll get sick, they'll miss something important - they have to get home.

Maybe they're scared of the violent thunder or the harsh flashes of light from lightning. Susie thinks that makes it so much cooler. CRASH - sounds like her.

With a voice of booming thunder and the presence of the storms. Sometimes an aggressive hail but other times, nothing more than a sprinkle.

it's one of the few times Susie throws off her jacket too. raw, open, in the moment. Susie spins, she laughs, she curses, she steps in puddles, she trips and gets soaked - but she's so in her element.

Sometimes she's quiet and she thinks. But her favorite part is, she doesn't have to. Sometimes it's a blissful emptiness, other times it's a burdened daydream.

But the rain gets her.
