“Oh, I appreciate that, Kurosawa - kun!” She felt her cheeks get warmer at that, and she shrugged out of habit, if only to help herself relax. “There’s still a lot of things I need to work on, but I’m glad that we’re all doing our best. I think both our teams will rank pretty high this year..” she looked back at the selections, and paused. “Hopefully we can win the whole thing..” her voice drifted off, a sigh escaping her lips as she thought of all the possibilities. Sayuri reached out, and picked up a loaf and began to inspect it out of habit ... only to remember she wasn’t alone. 

“Uhm’ ... I was just gonna get a few loaves of Rye, Sourdough and Pumpernickel. We need some for the diner, and for the house.”

               “ oh ? anything specific ? ” he watches her scout out the bread with a                smile of his own, tapping his pen against the counter absently, though                perks up a bit at the mention of progress && her return of the question.                he’s beaming when he answers, voice chipper as ever, “ everyone is                working their hardest to prepare for the spring tournament, && really,                it’s pretty refreshing. everyone’s in high spirits ! it sounds like the girls                are heading down the same road. i wish you luck, sayuri-chan ! ” he                laughs, resting his chin in his palm. “ that is, if you even need it. ”

“It’s fine, don’t worry about it.” she mustered, waving her hand at his words. Truth be told, she wasn’t really bothered by his lack of words - when you’re immersed in a game, it’s hard to talk. Sayuri looked down at her phone, and thank God that her efforts of following him weren’t in vain. There were a few Ponyta on her screen, and that alone was enough for her. She looked at him, and raised a brow as he seemed kind of focused but ... slightly uncomfortable?

“Have you found any other Pokemon around here worth catching?”

He abruptly stopped at some point, where the Ponyta was located, and played on his touch screen device to catch it. Beforehand, Takeo was certain that someone had called out to him, but was immersed in finding the Pokemon instead. Once caught the Ponyta into the Pokedex, Takeo turned his head toward the other. 

 ❝ …. ❞ Although the boy can be expressive at times, there was nervousness when he talks with people– strangers, especially. ❝ … I apologize for not talking with you sooner. ❞

“Well, are you alright with Jin - kun?” she giggled at the expression that Jin had, and wondered if she really was that easily flustered. She was always pretty quiet, and tended to herself; but, this was an entirely different look. It was cute, and kind of funny if she had to be honest. Sayuri’s smile widened, and she took a moment to study the other’s features, and gestures. 

“Absolutely, if you’re okay with it. I don’t live too far from school,” she pursed her lips before she continued, “How far is your walk?”

They’ve been a club mates for a while now, but Jin has never had a PROPER conversation with her. The setter was actually QUITE happy she’s slowly getting closer to the girls on her team, step by step. Her lip trembles as she struggled to contain her SMILE from appearing on her visage, so she just FROWNS in embarrassment instead.

“T-then! I will call you Sayuri from now on! You may call me by the nickname of your choice.” Damn – that wasn’t how she was SUPPOSED to respond, all high-and-mighty. “..W-would you like to.. Walk home together? ”

The setter leans towards the blonde, placing a flower crown assorted with differently colored daisies she's found during her free time.

“Eh? Jin - kun?” She blinked, and tilted her head at the gentle action. Her eyes lit up though, a wave of delight and curiosity washing over them as she pursed her lips. A soft giggle escaped her lips as she reached her hand up, and gently patted the setter’s cheek. “It’s beautiful, Jin - kun. Thank you!” 

Sayuri tilted her head, and raised a brow before asking: “Did you really make this for me, or were you that bored?”

“A Ponyta?!” She echoed, eyes wide and phone in hand. She barely started playing this, but already the game was a ton of fun. Sayuri looked up at the other, but before she could ask him anything else he just ... fled. Frowning, the wing spiker gazed down at her blinking phone before looking towards the horizon. “W - Wait! Hold on! Where is it?!” And with that, she followed after him with a grunt.

“That’s good to hear! I noticed, the team’s been doing really well. It felt good to hit the balls you were setting. I’m good, thank you!” she paused, smiling at the other. “You can call me Sayuri, you know. We’re in the same year.”

CLEARS throat. Oh, the nickname was quite adorable. “I’m doing well. Practice was alright, the team is improving very slowly.. Ah. H-how are you today? Sa.. Sayu.. Fujisaki-san.”
