The first time Scully had asked her son to look over his sister, Jackson remembered it deeply. They were leaving the mall after doing some shopping, when she had stopped, saying something about forgetting Mulder’s cereals. « Could you stay with her ? It won’t take long. » She didn’t seem worried one bit. On the other hand, a lump had formed in his throat. He was never left alone with a 3 month old before. But he had agreed, and his mom flew back inside the store.

For the time she was gone, he had sat on a bench outside, looking curiously at the baby. She was bundled up in a cute Care Bears jumpsuit, sucking on a cute baby pink pacifier and a cute tuft of fair hair was sticking from under a cute beanie. He smiled thinking that she was cute. Especially when she slept. « She’s going to cry » his brain informed him suddenly. He felt it coming, the distress growing inside the tiny body. Sure enough, she started to whimper, her fists clenching dangerously. « Hey, don’t cry… » With no hesitation, his hand found her forehead, and he started caressing it lightly, trying to calm her. And it worked. He never felt this proud using his powers than this day.

When he felt his mother’s hand in his hair and she dropped a kiss on his head, asking him if everything was fine, he smiled up at her, and nodded.

This is just so cute! I love Jackson being worried and Scully probably not even thinking about it cause she trusts her son. He's a great big brother to his baby sister 🥰
