Before campaign 2 like everyone else I tried guessing based off of the outlines. I managed to get Laura as a tiefling and Marisha as a monk.

Before campaign 3 I used the most scientific method possible: the wheel spinner. The results are lost to a deleted twitter account, but I'm pretty sure I got a big ol' goose egg on that one.

So naturally for campaign 4 I did the reasonable thing: I did the wheel spinner all over again. I did do this back in February so it was do with the assumption of a Matt helmed table set in Exandria. So there is one Exandria specific race that I'm not going to redo. They might keep reilorans, we don't know. I also went ahead and spun one for Matt. The only rule for the others was no repeats within the group.
