My friend gave me a used tank for my goldfish, tested it on the back porch overnight and bro literally exploded. Apparently it made a rubber-dodgeball-impact noise when it happened (mom's recount)

I am both absolutely devastated and also unfathomably satisfied because his back blew out in a near perfect circle. Absolutely phenomenal

I'm ngl chat I'm lowkey projecting by making Teletraan-1 a legitimate character. I was always mad that he was just "the computer" all the time.

I know with absolute fuckin certainty that Optimus saw Teletraan-1 as more than that. There were scenes showcasing the Autobots' ability to empathize with Teletraan-1 on multiple occasions, speaking to him like a person, but he never actually *got* character development.

He was a device for unloading context on the audience and being conveniently overpowered when it came to repairing the Autobots (but only when the plot demanded it). Which is fine I GUESS those were after-all, the times.

Anyway I want the computer to say and do funny stuff because I deserve it.

I happen to be in possession of a very, very large rise of the beasts Optimus Prime poster directly pinched from the local theaters at the time the movie released. He is positioned next to my bed and watches me sleep.

How did I acquire such a relic? I also happen to have certain connections to various influential involved parties

The method of reproduction changes based on the continuity but I think the concept that newborn Cybertronians grow out of the ground like supercharged vegetables is my favorite.

It gives the "constructed cold" method more weight. The religious implications and the societal bias towards true-forged bots has the potiential to be world altering.

I'm almost sad that we never got an in-depth explanation of the process. There's only speculation that varies from person to person, linking together the tid-bits of information that the canon-material spoon-feeds us.

I personally like the idea that IDW introduced that there is a specific caste of bots that are wholly dedicated to the production and rearing of newsparks. What kind of holy order would that be? Definitely a position that's almost priestly in nature and renown.

Nameless bots wander vast fields of ignited newsparks. The ground under their feet warm from the life rooting through it. When the newborns are mature, the planet releases the sentio-metallico and members of the Shaperate pluck them out of the ground. Thus begins the long and arduous process of molding the newly released sentio-metallico into a new Cybertronian.

Each newborn is entrusted to their own member of the Shaperate; who's now responsible for their development and giving to them their first true shape.

It's both an art form and a sacred duty. Each spark a step taken, every newborn a chance to strengthen Cybertrons glory.

Maybe two people asked where Ratchet was in the equation if Wheeljack is the single mother. So I'm going to answer.

Ratchet is still there, but he didn't play as much of an integral part of the Dinobots development as Wheeljack did. In fact he was averse to the creation of the Dinobots in the first place.

Personality wise, my version of Ratchet leans more towards his MTMTE counterpart than G1. He's cynical, prickly and a "leave well enough alone" kind of bot.

Wheeljack is G1 times two; he's incredibly intelligent but he's also reckless so it loses some of it's luster. He invents because he wants to help people but his inventions go way too far and oftentimes explode in his (or someone else's) face in his haste.

Wheeljack pines HOPELESSLY for Ratchet and Ratchet pretends not to notice. Wheeljack's love declarations range from sickeningly sappy to unusual and sometimes explosive.

Ratchet is impressed by his attempts but it's not so much of an "endeared" kind of impressed as it is a "that guy just jumped off a roof and didn't break any of his limbs." kind of impressed. War medics are conditioned to avoid any emotional attachments because they're risky, so Ratchet makes an effort to keep Wheeljack at arms length, for both their sakes.

Wheeljack assumes that because Ratchet hasn't outright rejected him yet, it means he just hasn't confessed the right way yet and he needs to figure out what Ratchet likes.

So yeah. Theyre fuckin' idiots.

There should be more artwork of Transformers simply hugging each other. Like just completely sfw platonic holding each other. Why do we assume that G1 Optimus Prime doesn't hug each of his soldiers individually all the time. Why do we assume they don't spoon each other platonically for comfort because I do, I assume that.
