I live at Granate, San Andres Bukid, Manila, a residential area around Manila City. Our community is composed of houses, a barangay hall and a chapel. The barangay hall and chapel are located at the end of the street since our street is a dead-end, it is definitely the appropriate place for it. The streets would be a safe area whenever there are disastrous events like fire or earthquake since our streets are slightly wide. I’ve seen these events happen already like one time there is a fire; the fire truck fits the street and rapidly acts to help. I guess the problem our community is facing would be parking. The cars on the street occupy mostly half of the street which causes one-way traffic only. A possible solution for this would be a parking space for the cards of those who reside in the community if having a garage would not be possible. This way there would only be an area wherein all the cars would be located and this can result in a wider usage of the street. Moreover, Traffic has been one of the problems the Philippines is facing. And I guess the problem we are facing in the community is also experienced by others which contributed to the factors of why we are having this issue. If we would all be disciplined enough and not only think of ourselves maybe we can resolve this issue. Unity is important in solving issues especially if we are talking about a large-scale group. Just like in the community, organizations between members should be evident. Also, members of a community should have one objective and it is to make their community a safe and better place.
