anyways now that i have your attention i'd like to call your focus toward the uncanny rise of takis in the media. with katseye's hit "gnarly" having a very disjointed line including takis, which many have complained about, one has to wonder what form of marketing campaign the taki corporation is undergoing.

similarly, the wendy's taki sandwich is currently under fire for killing you, much like the mcdonald's grimace shake a few years ago. will it truly kill you? is it poisonous? does the sandwich truly embody the fuego spirit?

i would say yes, mostly because i got a nosebleed halfway through eating one that lasted an hour.

i work at a wendy's, hence why i tried it, and my coworkers are not letting me live this down.

I'm bad about posting requests publicly but this one is getting a little overwhelming.

My husband has been looking for a solid job for about a month and while God has mercifully provided for us via my job, we are also quite near to depleting our savings. He applies for like 20 jobs a day but Indeed is chock full of MLM, comission based scammy jobs. I'm also getting more and more worn out from being the sole income provider and I know that weighs on him even more than the actual job search.

Could you please pray that God bring him to a good job soon? If you have practical advise like good job boards or know of anyone hiring (either in Texas or just remote) that would also help! but prayers help most of all :)

My cousin Kenny passed away suddenly yesterday at the age of 54. If you could please pray for his soul and for his family. I also lost two other relatives very recently: Samantha (31) and Ieuan (52), if you could keep them in your prayers also.

There is a four year old girl on TikTok battling B-cell lymphoma who is called Camryn. In a recent TikTok of hers I saw, she asked for prayers. If you could please pray for her health and for her family. Her family also run a charity which aims to deliver free colouring books to other kids battling cancer, which you can donate to here.

Could I ask for prayers? I'm nearly 40 weeks pregnant, and I am asking for prayers that I will go into labor naturally and be able to birth a healthy baby. My doctor wants me to schedule an induction soon, and I would like to avoid it if I can.

I manage to mostly avoid Tumblr Christian discourse about various things, but on Twitter I always get recommended tweets on discourse I didn't even know existed. "It's a sin to go to Church" "You're not supposed to pray the Our Father" "The Holy Spirit isn't real" "Reading the Bible is a sin". I always find it mildly fascinating reading people arguing about these things. I don't know if I've avoided a lot of this stuff because I grew up in an atheist household, or if people on Twitter are just reinventing old heresies

hi y'all i have a prayer request-

my grandma fell down and broke her toes and ribs. shes home from the hospital but obvi still has broken bones, yknow, which is not great, and she's in quite a bit of pain adding to that, her son (my grandpa) is the one mostly taking care of her rn, and he has a temper, which is not helping my mama much.

so prayers for that pls :D ty

Update on my dad:

He fell the other day and landed on his stump. The doctor said if he falls again he could lose his entire leg. They have been monitoring him and making sure any attempt to move from wheelchair to bed etc is made with someone present to spot for him.

With saying this, he was recovering relatively well and was supposed to get out of the hospital tomorrow, however, there is an issue with the stump and he won't be getting out till Monday. ASSUMING he won't need another surgery.

Prayers that his stump would heal and recover well and that he wouldn't need another surgery. Prayers for encouragement for my dad as he's feeling pretty discouraged and also for my mom. Strength for both of them. Prayers for myself and my brother are also welcome.

Asking for prayers for my grandpa and my immediate family. He's nearing end of life, and because of his specific ailments, it could be tomorrow, or it could be a few months from now. But without getting into details, him and his son are on pretty bad terms. So we'd love to see them talk (civilly) and try to move past their differences now, while my grandpa is still fairly lucid. I've been hearing that my uncle might finally try. Please pray that this happens.

And please pray that we can take care of my grandpa well, and that we can convince him to see a priest in the near future.
