This entire film is shot with a handheld camera, but the hands holding it are very steady. There is brief use of a mild double-vision effect.

I made this film because I had never seen an authentic, empathetic portrait of what it feels like to have epilepsy. As an advocate I noticed after several years that most awareness campaigns largely draw audiences of people who already know about epilepsy. To truly raise awareness and beat stigma, we have to reach people who truly know nothing about us, and they have to want to be there. Movies and tv are of the only places in culture where people go out of their way to hear from someone new. My hope is that with one authentic movie, we can gain more interest in our lives from the public than any campaign ever before. Now we are developing the feature.
