Elijah stepped up to his sister, scrutinizing her features. „Maybe we should start getting better,“ his voice sounded low. Who was going to convince Niklaus of that?

she did her best not to be critical. they've harmed a lot of people in the name of protecting their family and it was a cycle that earned them more enemies than peace. Marcel and Davina were only two such examples and she wanted to think that some patterns could be broken. it was a lot easier said than done though. both their thoughts turn to Niklaus as the biggest hurdle yet she refused to give up hope. he'd accepted her after all. "i'd like to think that we can. i want to set a better example for Hope but it's hard to know where to start."

wide eyes turn to him, a hint of confusion in them. she wasn't great with crowds and maybe he'd noticed it; nervous fingers fidgeting with her scarf. a quick glance around is all she needs before making up her mind, giving a short nod then moving to follow him. anywhere was better than here. after a few minutes she clears her throat, gaze on her feet while arms cross over her chest. partially because of the cold and partially to self-soothe. “thanks, i was getting close to my limit for social interactions so it's nice to take a step back.”
