The Sequels need a brother drama between Poe and Kylo Ren/Ben. The potential was right there. Poe was assertive like Leia and a perfect pilot like Han and they ofc took care of Poe after his parents died and when Ben went to Jedi training it’s possible that Han and Poe got closer and Ben got jealous and that could’ve been the reason his hate towards his dad and mom. Otherwise why is he hating a loving mom and a good father? They should’ve give us a confrontation between them.
