I thought her character was such an obnoxious pAraLlel. I don’t know if it was the writing, or if the actress lacked skill, but she didn’t really manage to engage me with her story. She was just too emotionally bland all the time. Honestly, did she come across as someone who just lost her father? Remember for the sake of the pAraLlel the season 2 finale when Veronica thought Keith had been blown up on Woody’s plane. 

What did you guys think of Maddie’s character?

Veronica Mars reached legendary status after the Kickstarter campaign. Truly one of a kind. 

Now the show will join the Wall of Shame with shows that have those kind of finales. You know the usual suspects, now including our beloved Veronica Mars.

What a cussing shame.

Also, how far do they have their heads up their asses? Do they genuinely think people prefer to see Veronica bitter and alone? Literally nobody was expecting Veronica to be some kind of soccer mom in season 5. Plus Logan and Veronica weren’t even in that good of a place when they got married, so I still would have expected plenty of drama. I wasn’t even surprised when it seemed Logan wasn’t gonna show at the wedding. 

It’s not even a matter of fan service, even though I have seen many people suggest it. Still, Veronica Mars has a unique relationship with their fan base, given the success of the Kickstarter campaign. This doesn’t mean they owe the fans anything in particular. It does mean that the only reason they get to continue their show is because of the fans dedication and generosity, since let’s be real. This Hulu revival would not have happened had it not been for the movie buzz. But again, they don’t owe the fans anything. They could have killed Logan in the movie if they wanted to. But simultaneously, the fans don’t owe them their time either. If people choose not to support a potential season five because of Logan’s death, that’s not disrespectful, it’s their choice. They have chosen the direction in which they wish to take their show, and now it’s up to each of us to decide if we want to follow. However, they are fucking naive if they think the movie buzz created such an expanded demographic aside from the original fan base that the show would be fine in terms of ratings without the hardcore originals.

Honestly, I usually side with the writers when a major character dies (excepting Sara Lance on Arrow, still bitter) but hearing RTs and KBs disgusting justification is such a slap in the face. In a general context their statements already would be quite offensive, but I honestly had never expected them to sink to this level, which makes them sting even more.

Does anyone know why the last episode of Veronica Mars Season 4 is ten minutes shorter than the other? 

Not that it matters, it’s not like they would use those ten minutes to put in some cheap-ass plot twist. Other show might, but not Veronica Mars.

I’m sure a TID show would be great and everything, but I can’t help thinking that if they are willing to put the time, effort and money into a spin-off, why not just renew the successful show you already have?

One of the things I hate the most about this whole cancellation nonsense, is that they went straight to the ‘consolation prize’ that is the two hour series finale. 

When Sense8 was cancelled, it wasn’t going to come back at all at first, but because of the backlash we managed to squeeze out a special series finale. 

Now they throw us that bone immediately, like ‘that shut y’all up last time. now be appreciative, you plebs, because you know we could have been bigger dicks’
