Good god them seemingly retconning the fact that cookiekind was responsible for the dragons having so little numbers left has been bothering me.

Like what of Dragon Eggshell Clam's pet description? What of the mention of cookiekind's greed within the first half of the update??? Didn't the TBD have a story involving a group of cookies stealing (seemingly non fossilized) dragon eggs?? Hell, Maple Taffy has a whole (albeit fossilized) collection of dragon eggs! Does all of this mean nothing now?

Why constantly bring up cookies and the way they stole dragon eggs (or how they treat them) and NOT do anything with it? Why plant this idea that cookiekind interfered with dragons at their most vulnerable (when they haven't even hatched yet) only to sweep it all away with "the dragons had a war"

ESPECIALLY, since we have a whole dragon hunting guild as a group in this update.

So did or did the cookies not hurt the dragon population!?

I have played the update in one sitting and find a lot of concepts quite interesting. Like how Longan might suffer from same problem as Lychee as in "I don't trust that your love/friendship is real and not being forced by my powers" considering they apperently have similar abilities. I would like to know what exactly you did and didn't enjoy as a long time Longan fan. Imho I think they behave this way because they are spiraling. Sorry for any grammar errors as english is not my native language.

I feel like Longan never trusted the dragons in the first place considering their foresight, but because of how fond they are of them, they tried to have hope that the dragons could be changed

Longan knew that the other dragons loving them was a fleeting thing, because of their foresight. Lychee on the other hand only sees the surface of things, and because of their relationship with the other dragons, it's very obvious why they don't trust that people can genuinely love them

It's just,

The concepts are GOOD, I'm not going to deny that. It's the execution that's really ass

Another thing I hate is the fact they completely rid of Longan's fondness for the dragons at the end, because this entire time, we thought that they're doing all this for the dragons, which I guess was the case, until they cracked

They set it up SO WELL, only to completely fumble the story in this update, like, what do you MEAN the reason why dragons and near extinction is because of a war, all this time we thought it was Cookies hunting them down

We hadn't had a damn clue about it until now

Now now, I love the element of surprise like everyone else, but with so much clues of Cookies being in the wrong in the first place left around, you'd really expected something much more interesting instead of dragons on war against each other

The entire thing of "cookies are weak, let's use them to fuel our magic whatever thing" is so utterly, boring,

Longan was a complicated character, and they reduced them to that?

I thought I had them figured out to a T and you're telling me they're just a villain because, they're a egomaniac? I spent so much effort trying to convince people they were an interesting character and they were! The writers were definitely onto something until THIS UPDATE

There was so much to work with

Longan was clearly alone because not even the other dragons really understood them, and they were alone sleeping for so long,

And the fact that Chocolate Bark (have I ever tell you all how much I HATE Choco Bark) is stuck in Longan's dark realm, and Longan being able to speak to the guy no problem, they could had done something with that, there could had been something so much more interesting, like idk, Choco Bark talking to Longan until they finally cave in and converse? Choco Bark managing to change Longan's opinions on Cookies even just a bit?

I'm not even going to get started on the costumes, I have the Longan one but it upsets me.

But on the other side, the domestic interactions we got from the surprise eggs were really nice, it showed how close the dragons were before Cookies started appearing, it showed that they were family

I really hope that Longan gets to be happy, but not the expense of everyone else

There's probably better ways to write this, but holy shit dude

OKAY SO- SORRY FOR THE UPCOMING RAMBLE BUT- Unless is gonna be a whole body separation thing like DE and White Lily- I don't think that this hatched cookie is Longan- given that the roadmap shows that they'll be playable

The other times we've gotten a younger version of a cookie- they've been costumes NOT a separate cookie

Also note the extreme differences in the appearances between this cookie and Longan- such as the tuffs and tail. Within this update however- We got this line from Longan

I do think devsis brought this for a reason other then just explaining why they have dragon bones. That hatchling is undeniable related to Longan- in someway- the background looks like the Pale Expanse and the colors are similar but not exact matches. (another reason why I don't think it's Longan)

So unless Longan suddenly laid an egg in middle of this fight, which they can likely do, given this line from Maple Taffy:

Then I think this is Longan's attempt at resurrecting a dragon

so, first theory: i think jenna will be saved by being turned into an android/cyborg.

evidence:

1) obviously she got hurt real bad at the end of the album. the narrator is trying to save her life but the narrative doesnt want that to happen, so maybe she needs an unconventional solution

2) in ‘jenna & l3x’ they had that whole conversation about being a robot, and how emotions can hurt. l3x said jenna should be a bot in her next life and jenna said she wouldnt be so scared as a bot

but how could she become an android?

well: 3) the last of the doran turned themselves into immortal androids to guard the tear, and where did jenna get shot? on the tear asteriod, in front of a bunch of doran guards

also, cindi lou met a woman she vaguely knew, who might be from the past or from the future, who asked her to “send the cyborg.” sure, that could be jane but it could also be a cyborg we havent met yet, or someone we have met who isnt a cyborg yet.

and who would know both jane and cindy lou? the two of them never met. but much more likely someone could know both cindi lou and jenna.

additionally, jenna is a descendant of jane the cyborg, direct enough that she looks extremely like janes great-granddaughter joy. maybe she’ll become even more like her.

I still can't get over Oki's voice when he's saying this.
