Connor is still heavily involved with C.A.R.M.A, helping out in any way he can to bring down H.A.M.E.R. and protect anymore Metahumans from being “cured” or killed.

With him and Kara now married and officially both Fraynes, they started the family they always knew they were supposed to have together.  They have a two year old daughter named Ember and a newborn son who they named River.  It is too early to tell what the full extent of the kids’ abilities are, however Connor knows Kara is right in believing that they are Metas.

Despite both being in fairly risky jobs, the Fraynes make sure that the kids remain their full priority. While Connor remains in the field, he’s supportive of Kara’s decision to take a slight step back and run her company. The last thing either of them want is to leave the children parentless.

Kaden grinned, already enjoying the night out with Connor. Not a lot of people could keep up with his metabolism and he was the type who felt guilty leaving food to waste after ordering an abundance. “Listen, if you want those mozzarella dippers, I will gladly split those with you whenever you’re ready.” He leaned back in his seat, getting comfortable. It’d been a long time since he’d had a guy’s night out with anyone. “Boy, I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s been hermitting. I’m sure my wife’s praising god that I’m out for the evening,” he chuckled. He and Dee had spent pretty much every moment together for their honeymoon, he had no doubt she could use a break. The bartender returned shortly with their drinks, mentioning the food would be out in another few minutes. Kaden thanked them and paused to sip his drink. “What have you been up to lately? How’s the wedding planning coming along?” 

The fact that Kaden was just as keen on ordering an excessive amount of food as he was, was a very good sign indeed. Or perhaps not since they’d likely have a very large food bill. As long as Connor took some food home for Kara, she probably wouldn’t be too bothered about how much he spent on stuffing his face. “That is.. very good to know,” he chuckled, knowing he would likely cave and order them eventually... but for now he got back to the conversation at hand and stopped thinking about food. “Yeah, I know Kara loves me, but I bet she’s sick of my company twenty-four-seven,” he said with a soft laugh. Once their drinks were brought along, Connor didn’t hesitate in taking a mouthful, wondering if he would actually be able to get at least tipsy. 

“Mate, I’m pretty fuckin’ borin’. I’ve been thinkin’ ‘bout bookin’ a holiday maybe? Surprisin’ Kara with a week somewhere nice or somethin’. Not sure yet.. wedding plans are.. probably comin’ a little slow, but I have no doubt in my mind that Kara has plenty of collections stored on Pinterest,” he answered with a grin. “How much input did you have in your wedding? I feel like maybe I need to get more involved. I don’t mind how the wedding is though, honestly. As long as I get married, I’m happy... as soppy as that shit sounds.”

Paranoia | Nick & Connor |

Nick felt someone grab a hold on him whoever it was. Their hands were really hot but that wouldn’t faze him at all. Then he heard Connor’s voice yelling at him trying to reason with him. But he didn’t care for reason right now all of this was supposed to be over. Metas were supposed to be safe but they weren’t, and someone was responsible for that. Nick didn’t know who he could and couldn’t trust anymore. If they weren’t Meta then that made them his enemy in his eyes.

His grip tightened even more as the agent started to get weaker. His struggling got weaker till he was just lightly tapping Nick’s wrist. Just as the human agent seemed like he was losing consciousness. Connor pushed his way between them once again demanding that. Nick let him go but this time it got through to him. Taking deep breaths Nick released the human agent letting him fall to the floor. The agent began coughing and scrambled backwards.“Don’t ever make a joke like that again. We’re supposed to be on the same side, so act like it.” He growled folding his wings and turning to walk away. “You might want to thank Connor I’m pretty sure he saved your life.”

When Nick finally let go, Connor breathed a sigh of relief and decided to check on the other agent; hopefully he hadn’t been harmed too much. At least Nick hadn’t used all his strength. Once he’d made sure the other agent was okay and could actually breathe, the heliokinetic went straight for Nick, grabbing his shoulder.

“Hey, what the fuck was that? We can’t go ‘round killin’ each other, mate. He was a dickhead for sayin’ what he said, but two wrongs do not make a right,” Connor sighed, wondering if he should report the incident before it got back to the Commanders from the other guy. “We’re goin’ to catch these fuckers, but we can’t hurt our own.”

Paranoia | Nick & Connor |

The kidnappers were able to take Manny was because it was very well-thought-out plan, and his guard was down. Since he was taken from his home but then Erick went missing, and now his paranoia skyrocketing and out of control. Two C.A.R.M.A agents just gone and no one could track them. Whoever was responsible for this was too good. They had resources and access to information that they shouldn’t. Nick couldn’t trust any of his human co-workers. His senses were on full alert whenever he patrolled with one. He even contemplated moving to a new apartment. Nick didn’t realize how close he was to exploding until it was too late.

He was in the training room doing some pull-ups. When a human agent cracked a joke about who would be next to disappear. The guy pointed at Nick and he took that as a threat. Before he knew at his wings had unfolded and carried him over with blinding speed. Nick wrapped his hand around the agent’s throat and lifted him into the air. One of his friends tried to help him but he was knocked to the ground. By a wing the other friend ran out probably to go get Kaden or the Commander herself. He didn’t care all he saw was red at the moment.

“Do you think this is a joke something to laugh about” he growled. His grip tightening when the agent tried to speak. He gurgled as he tried to reason with Nick. The agent clawed at his arm and threw desperate kicks at his chest. None of it fazed him the slightest bit “it’s you isn’t it you’re one of them.” He sneered “you give them all the information they need don’t you?” A voice in his head told him that he needed to stop. Before he took things to far but Nick was never good at listening to the voice of reason.

Connor had only just walked into the training room when it all kicked off -- Nick threatening a human agent and Connor having no choice but to intervene to try and restore the peace. He was quick to react, eyes immediately glowing white-hot as he rushed to grasp Nick’s arm, hoping it would distract him and he would let go of the other agent. “We’re on the same side,” he hissed at Nick. “There’s no point in hurtin’ each other. Let him go,” Connor practically commanded, jaw clenched in anger. He knew emotions and paranoia were up from everything that had been going on recently, but there was really no use in taking it out on fellow C.A.R.M.A agents, especially when they needed to be working together to take down this new threat to metahumans.

“Nick, stand down,” he growled, his hand heating up, but he knew Nick could take it, being a fucking dragon and all. “Jus’ because he’s not a meta does not mean he has anythin’ to do with the disappearances.” Connor forced himself between the human and Nick, hoping he’d let go before he ended up doing some permanent damage to the less-robust human he was choking.

With work and training for the upcoming tournament, Kara was more than thrilled to sleep in with her fiancé. They both deserved a well-earned lazy morning. Despite that, her body had long accustomed to waking up at a certain hour every day. It must have been a few minutes or so after Connor left, and not thinking too much of it, Kara tried to drift back off to dreamland. It was the loud noise in the bathroom that had her sitting up, officially wide awake. 

“Connie?” she called out, already climbing out of bed to investigate. Kara entered their bathroom and, relieved to see Connor still standing in their shower, began to strip out of her pajamas. She slid open the door and gave Connor a playful pout. “What? You didn’t want to invite me to shower with you?” she teased. She didn’t wait for an answer, already stepping inside and closed the door behind herself, immediately stealing a kiss from the other Meta underneath the warm water. “Mm, good morning.” 

Connor really hadn’t intending on waking Kara up, but he was just naturally clumsy and unco-ordinated when he didn’t have to think about trying not to be clumsy and unco-ordinated. He turned around and gave Kara an apologetic smile as she entered the shower, pulling her in closer and pressing a little deeper into the kiss. “Good mornin’ to you too. I wanted you to have a long lie-in,” he murmured softly against her lips. “But ‘m’also selfishly pleased that you’re awake and in ‘ere with me,” he added, grinning, gently placing both of his hands on either side of her face. “We’ve not ‘ad steamy shower sex in a while,” he chuckled.

It was the weekend and despite wanting to have a morning in bed with Kara for once, Connor was wide awake as soon as the sun started to rise. It annoyed him no end that he couldn’t just relax, that he had to go and wear himself out a little before he could just chill out. Leaving Kara in bed and looking very peaceful and incredibly beautiful, Connor kissed her gently on the forehead before disappearing into their makeshift gym room to lift a few weights.

Once he was done -- and sweaty -- he decided to take a shower, trying to be as quiet as he could as he crept into their en suite bathroom and started running the water. Despite wanting to be stealthy as possible, Connor was a little too clumsy for that and dropped the shower gel on the shower floor, which clattered loudly as it bounced a couple of times. If Kara wasn’t awake before, she most likely was now. “Shit.”

“You must have read my mind,” Kaden chuckled, smiling wide. “Anything with cheese is always my go-to. I was immediately thinking some greasy French fries, pizza, and the nachos, if you’re down with that?” If they were going to be drinking, they needed to be well nourished. The more food, the better. The bartender came over and Kaden ordered himself a Jack and Coke along with the snacks before turning towards Connor to take his order. “Any other food you might want?” he asked. 

What was a night out without greasy snacks to help soak up the alcohol a little? Connor’s nights out were always a little more expensive than most, his body always burning naturally hotter and therefore burning up food and alcohol almost as fast as he put it away. Getting drunk was always a bit of a challenge for the meta. “So very down with that,” he chuckled as the bartender came over. He briefly looked over the little menu again as Kaden was ordering before it was his turn. “I’ll have the same drink as him, please. I think that’s enough food.. for now, although I am eyein’ up the mozzarella dippers, but I’ll get ‘em later if I’m drunk enough,” he chuckled. With that, the bartender nodded and went off to take care of their order, leaving them to chat again while they waited. “Gettin’ out feels so good. Don’t feel like I’ve been able to socialise much outside of work recently. At least it gives Kara a night of freedom from my company too,” Connor joked with a soft laugh.

“Definitely me,” Kara replied, chuckling lightly. “I promise it’s not Alice this time.” She grinned mischievously, the tip of her tongue poking through between her teeth. Though she had to wonder how she was getting with all this stuff and her lovely fiancé was getting out unscathed. Not that she minded this particular incident. It’d probably be nice to be a guy for a bit and she still looked pretty damn good. “You know, we could have some fun with this one.” Her brows rose up, a playful gleam in her eyes. “What do you say, Sunny D? Wanna take this for a ride?” 

It was taking Connor a moment to process, but Kara still felt like Kara. Her vibe was the same, even if her body was very different. He smirked at her suggestion, his eyebrows raising a little at the question. Connor definitely wasn’t one to pass up an exciting opportunity when one presented itself. It was no secret that Connor was also into guys, so to be able to experience a.. guy version of his fiancee was going to be interesting to say the least. “I.. would love to,” he replied with a grin, moving in closer before pressing a soft kiss to Kara’s lips. “As much as this you is a novelty, and very attractive, you you better be back tomorrow,” he murmured before closing the gap again to kiss Kara, a little deeper this time.

Alice shook her head frantically while thinking for a moment, maybe she was still asleep.“No no, not a nightmare. A bizarre reality.” She looked at Connor with the most serious expression she could manage while internally freaking out. “I’m not Kara. I’m Alice. Something happened, I don’t know what but I’m not Kara.”

As soon as Kara said she was Alice, Connor knew the weird crap happening in Pansaw that week must’ve had something to do with the Freaky-Friday-esque body-swap. “Wait.. Alice? You’re Alice? You ain’t shittin’ me are ya? ‘Cause that really wouldn’t be funny right now,” Connor replied, grabbing hold of the covers to cover his.. well, everything. The fact he’d gone to bed with Kara and woke up with Alice in Kara’s body was definitely... really awkward.

Still half asleep when Kara decided to have some kind of fit and throw herself out of bed and onto the floor, Connor sat up slightly, frowning in utter confusion as he looked down at her. He chuckled a little, not knowing what the hell was going on but decided to sit up a bit straighter. “I believe I did that last night,” he murmured sleepily with a smirk that suggested he was very pleased with his little joke he’d just made. “Kara, what’s wrong? What the fuck’re you doin’ down there?” He asked, deciding to be a little more concerned about her behaviour. “Did you ‘ave a nightmare or somethin’? It’s fine, y’know. Nothin’ bad ‘ere. You can get back into bed if ya like? I won’t bite... unless ya want me to, of course,” he chuckled again.

Freaky Friday || Connor & Alice

A hard night working on her multiple projects had worn Alice out completely. She couldn’t remember actually making it home and into her bed but by god was it comfy. She almost considered staying there all day since it was her day off after all. That peaceful feeling vanished however as soon as she felt movement beside her. Her eyes snapped open and she saw she wasn’t alone but actually laying next to her best friend’s fiancé. 

“Holy shit!” Alice gasped threw herself out of bed as quickly as she could, pulling blankets with her in the process. “Connor?! What the shit?! Wha-?” She cut off as she finally began processing her surroundings. This was not her room. This was not her apartment. This was not her…hair? She pushed the blonde locks out of her eyes before catching her reflection in the mirror. This was not her body. “Oh fuck me.”
