Original artwork of Taylor Swift from her rerecorded “(Taylor’s Version)” of “Speak Now”
Drop. Everything. Now. The journey to finishing and sharing this artwork has been a long, intense but deeply fulfilling one. Going on THREE months- more than any of my other drawings have taken thus far- so I've poured my entire heart into this. I think for me, "Speak Now" was the kind of album that said exactly what you were thinking but maybe couldn't bring yourself to actually saying. It screamed the angsty thoughts you kept to yourself with, but said them in a way that felt like you are allowed and entitled to feel your feelings the way you have to. I think about how "Speak Now" — an entirely self-written album — truly was a middle finger to the nay-sayers who dared to question that an artist like Taylor actually writes everything she sings... and then I think about the parallel now that (Taylor's Version) exists and what it means to those who never imagined she'd actually embark on the journey to owning her life's work. This album, and rerecording, continues to say what needs to be said, and more importantly- continues to prove everyone wrong. So glad she can call this album her's, but the journey I took with this drawing? Now that's the best thing that's ever been Mine.💜

Original artwork of Taylor Swift from her rerecorded “Taylor’s Version” of “Red”, inspired by the [From The Vault] tracks.
As “Red” has always been an album close to my heart, the rerecorded version released this past November was a huge dream come true, because the story I held so dearly for 9 years since 2012, got a little longer and a lot more context. From the extended vault tracks to an even more extended 10 minute version of “All Too Well”, the [From The Vault] tracks told the story in full and I wanted to create a piece that explored the new chapters of “Red”. This piece was so fun to make and I really fell in love with the process, so I can only hope you enjoy my understanding of this album’s story in full. I cannot wait to hear which details you love the most… but until then, darling let’s run…

Original artwork of Taylor Swift from her rerecorded “Taylor’s Version” of “Red”
On this journey to creating an artwork for each rerecorded album, this next project found itself based on her 4th studio album, Red (Taylor’s Version). One of my all time favorite albums was coming back from the past with new eyes and more life experience. Since being a 13 year old initially playing this album, I’ve now grown into a “22” year old who knows what heartbreak is, who has felt happy, free confused, and lonely in the best (and worst) ways… Red marks a feeling I’ve never been able to shake. I often find myself exploring heartbreak in my work, maybe because I’ll never understand why people hurt other people or maybe I just never want to be hurt like that again and I let this album teach me everything it can… Red was a safe haven to feel all the feelings I could, from formative teen years to being a young adult, who is genuinely finding life both miserable and magical, Red became a masterpiece that (even almost a decade later) would resonate to the deepest of levels. I just really wanted to do this piece justice. I racked my head over how to convey the complexities that is “Red” and take care of it the way it took care of me all these years. More so than anything else, this work, this “masterpiece”, was a labor of love and healed me a lot while making and revisiting it. I cannot wait to hear Taylor’s Version next week… but until then let’s just watch it begin again❤️

“𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒌𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒆: album of the year”
Original artwork of Taylor Swift from her 8th studio album and 2021 GRAMMY “Album of the Year”, “folklore”.
I wanted to make this piece since I finished my “evermore” artwork back in January and the idea of making a sister artwork for it was too tempting. I wanted to convey the same storytelling depth my last piece captured but with the album that started it all. This has been a labor of love over the past couple of months and I am so proud of what it has resulted in. Time to go back into those folklorian woods...

Original artwork of Taylor Swift from her 9th studio album, “evermore”.
This project has been over a month in the making and is one I am extremely, extremely proud of. While working on this piece, “evermore” quickly became one of my favorite bodies of work that Taylor has put out, and her attention to detail and poetry and symbolism was something I saw in my own art, and as I looked at my Taylor Swift album inspired pieces, I wanted to capture this album and all the storytelling elements in all their poetic glory.

In the past year, I’ve made a lot of work inspired by Taylor Swift, specifically her album Lover.
I’ve loved Miss Swift since “Tim McGraw” and grew up on songs like “Love Story” and “Mine” and been a fan that fell in love with her transition into pop with songs like “Clean” and “Delicate” and now her latest album, Lover.
All that being said, I never really felt I could be a part of the fandom, and then my “Lover” album artwork received an overwhelming amount of love and helped me make so many friends and helped so many people see my art.
All the love to Taylor AND all the new Swiftie friends I’ve made since💖🥺
