Day 6 of WHITES (and brown) was nottttt a hit! I won’t lie. And I had to do some bribing just to get them to try most of it! Goes to show you how color can make a difference when they eat. The same food in different colors were not appealing to them now but were when bright and vivid. I could have covered the plate in carbs they love like chips, popcorn, crackers but that would have defeated the purpose of this little project. Trying new things and getting out of your food comfort zone is important from a young age. And I will always try, even if it’s a waste because I know one day they will say yes. Some of my favorite little things that I wake up to almost daily... . - A photo of my babies when they were babies, how I see them daily. - Dainty beaded bracelets with J, O and F initials. - My favorite bangle with the quote on the inside...“life is tough my darling, but so are you.” - Valor essential oil, it’s one of my favorite oils outside of the kit. It’s not just the prettiest blue color, it’s my courage in a bottle. I use it for balance and alignment. - A little Angelite Stone, it’s one of the strongest healing stones and helps feelings of grief, emotional healing and letting go. Angelite is also very calming and comforting, bringing deep inner peace.

Day 4 of GREENS was probably the most fun to eat. Savage is an understatement. If you saw the highlights from yesterday you’d understand! As usual, the girls were SO EXCITED for the new color. I. Just. Can’t. This chubby, bald, sassy, silly, window licking baby will be FIVE in two months. Those times felt like they would never end and then one day you wake up and are like...wait you are almost five weren’t you just born?? Okay, where the f*ck did the time go? The memories of her so little are still vivid, her smell, her squishy rolls, her chubby cheeks, the way she needed to fall asleep in my arms EVERY SINGLE night and the way she woke up smiling every single day. I desperately hold tight to the memories because one day they will seem SO far away. Anyone else feel me? Ever feel like jumping into a time machine and go back for just a day?

Day 3 of YELLOWS was a little challenging to eat. Lots of new tastes. Some things being spit out and some being loved! I LOVED the @snackapade coconut pineapple smash mallows! Or add to food instead of lemon zest for that yummy fresh taste and smell. 4. Add a drop of Thieves + Purification to your vase of water to keep flowers fresh longer! Yes it actually works. 5. After seeing a post a few days ago by one of my fav girls... @weelicious on green foods for St. Patrick’s Day and how much her kids loved it, it has inspired me to try something fun. So I’ve come up with a food project/challenge. One that I was hoping my kids would enjoy and you will try. Basically I’m going to feed them a color a day. In a fun way that will get them to try new things or eat the good stuff. And let me tell you this... after yesterday, day one of eating REDS, they are pumped for the week! . So I’m challenging you! Now slow your roll...before you roll your eyes or think “that’s nice but I don’t have time” or “my kids won’t eat that”. Listen up. You don’t have to do it exactly the way I am but do your kids/family a favor and try. Whether it’s one plate with all the colors, a plate with a few colors, a plate with two colors or a color a day like me. Just do it. Be creative. It doesn’t have to just be fruits and veggies. It can be snacks too. Just choose a color and go with it! This will be a fun way to push your kids out of their eating comfort zone...that is most likely created and enabled by you. Yes, YOU. Believe me, I do it too. We all do. I started with RED yesterday and it was a hit! The girls are soooo excited for our eat the rainbow week. Why are they excited? Not because they loooooovvvve all fruits and veggies, it’s because I made it sound fun by explaining it in an enthusiastic way and making it sound like a yummy and cool project. Who’s in!? Been eyeing these white with black cross cross placemats by @hearthandhandmagnolia every time I’m in 🎯. They seemed a bit more cream color for my liking but somehow I managed to dig through and find four that were WHITE! #fate Sometimes it’s the little things that make you happy...especially when you don’t break the bank decorating!

My Franki + Livvi... Photos like this swallow me whole. My heart skips a beat and hurts to cuddle them together like this just one more time. To soak in the moments even more than I did. I miss them so small. Those days were HARD...managing the day to day and night with babes only 19 months apart.
