I want to hear about people’s “uncommon” dr! What’s somewhere you want to be that you don’t see much of? A niche fandom? Specific idealized world? Maybe even a special event you want to happen more than anything.
I love to just hear all about it <3

Heyy! Nice to mean you, I think it's so cool your willing to help others out!
So, I've kind of restarted my shifting journey since discovering it in 2020 then taking a break from 2022-2023. I made the goal that this year I will full shift, and I've come much farther since my time 2020. The thing is, is that I feel like I've tried a lot of things and am now stuck since I haven't really made any more progress in about a month. I'm currently on a break and trying to regroup and figure out my next steps.
I suppose my question is is if you have any advise, or are willing to share what the start of your journey was like? How you got past any problems you may have had?
Thank you for any advise you give! ❤️❤️
hi!! i love helping people, i’ve actually been reading a lot through my birth chart and it says i am meant to help people and teach in this lifetime, so that’s kinda what i’m doing lol ANYWAYS
So my journey: i shifted really quickly actually (not bragging ofc) it took me about 3 weeks from my first attempt to fully shift and then i was able to shift very easily since minus a few small blockages here and there. i think the reason i shifted so fast was a few different things. 1. i had a very solid background in meditation. i did solely meditation for years before learning about shifting. and 2. i made peace with not being able to shift. i’m serious it sounds crazy but the second i told myself and truly believed “it’s okay if i don’t shift tonight” i shifted for the first time.
as for problems i’ve had, the main problem i’ve had was trouble remembering my shifts, but that was just a sign of burn out and all i need was a week or two off shifting and everything went back to normal
i think the most important thing when it comes to your shifting journey is not to believe in shifting, but believe in YOURSELF!!! you can do it. you know you can. i think self confidence in your abilities is really helpful. i attribute that to keeping the ability to shift at will after my first shift. i was like “i did it so there’s not reason i can’t do it again” and i fully believed that
another thing is idk if this actually helped or if it was a coincidence, but before i shifted i changed my dr. like i went from trying to shift to a high fantasy dr (Hogwarts) to a place MUCH more like our reality (Outer Banks). i don’t know if that actually helped but i feel it’s worth a mention
i know this is kinda rambley but i hope it helped! feel free to ask anything, and i will do my best to answer 🫶🏻

I've tried to start meditating recently to help me on my shifting journey but my mind never really shuts up or I feel like I don't know what I'm doing/I'm doing it wrong
Any suggestions?
so meditation, just like shifting, is a skill
you have to practice and work to get better at it, so just because your brain isn’t quiet yet doesn’t mean it never will be. especially if you’re just starting. just keep at it and keep practicing, i have adhd but through the years i’ve been able to get really good at meditating. i started in about 2016/2017 years. and the thing about both shifting and meditation is they’re extremely personal journeys. so take it at your own pace and do not compare yourself to others i think that really helps!
as far as doing it wrong: the intention with meditation isn’t just to totally clear your mind but it’s to be at peace with your thoughts. so it’s important to not get frustrated or mad at yourself if your mind starts to wander. just when you realize you’ve wandered, refocus your mind in your breath.
the way i like to meditate is one of two ways: guided mediations or with music.
as long as when you’re meditating you feel at peace with yourself, you aren’t doing anything wrong 🫶🏻

hi stella, I was just wondering, since you're an experienced shifter, whether u could provide some shifting motivation for those who are doubtful of shifting? I believe it would be extremely helpful to the community if u were to do so.
What u could do is that u could shift to a parallel reality that is in the future (so this reality but in the future) and come back and give us some predictions for events that will happen. Much appreciated if u do
hi so realities don’t really work like that to be completely honest. every reality is different, going somewhere else and coming back to tell you what’s going to happen isn’t really something we can do because things via the butterfly effect are ever changing and even if i shift to a “parallel reality” who’s to say some one here isn’t going to chose not to cross a street or something and change the whole trajectory of this realities timeline. shifting is not time travel. it’s the same reason you can’t just shift to find like the cure to cancer, because odds are it will be different in this reality. and before you say “well just script it’s the same” scripts are not rule books. they are not the law of the land. they are guides to help you narrow down with reality out of the infinite number that exist you want to go to.
as for motivation, i think it’s an amazing idea to look within yourself and answer the question: why do you really want to shift? maybe make a journal out of it. make a list. other people can only motivate you so much and it’s hard to stay motivated if you’re constantly looking outward for it. true motivation comes when you have goals and wants and plans, and that’s something that only you can do.

i wanna do like a shifting AMA (ask me anything)
a little background on me: i shifted for the first time in january of 2021 and i’ve been shifting consistently ever since. i’ve shifted hundreds of times to multiple different realities (i’d say between 30 to 40 different drs) and all i truly want to do here is help people be able to experience what i have been so blessed to experience.
feel free to ask:
shifting questions
about my drs/experiences
things that helped me
meditation questions
really anything else
i’ll answer as many questions as i can and if i don’t have an immediate answer i have other very skilled shifter friends i can work through the questions with
like i said all i really want to do if help people shift so please, ask me anything

i’ve been wondering for awhile about how memories work after you shift. so like i know you instantly remember things that happened in the past when you shift since you don’t have them before you first shifted there. but do you still get memories when you shift back to ur cr? like memories that u didn’t think about when u were then currently in ur dr, like do you still have access to every single memory from ur dr?
yes you can remember everything!! you lived through both your past in your cr and and your past in your dr !!

i hate how s/o focused shifting is… like idk about shiftblr, bur shifttok yes… i get it it’s fun to be in love and be in a relationship, but i always have found it annoying how s/o driven shifting is on tiktok… like wdym who am i shifting for??
the experience and the characters, i don’t have to shift to bang someone 😨‼️
i literally thought i needed an s/o back in 2020, since everyone had one and to this day i catch myself scripting s/o’s i don’t even want because “i have to shift for an s/o”
idk could be cuz im arospec and asexual but whatever.

Ahhhhh! An adult shifter I’m so happy! I’m so used to being one of the few adults in the shifting community it always makes me happy to see another person! Would you mind if I ask you in private messages about your experiences?
Hello, hello!! I'm really happy that you found me in the sea of shifters out there in Tumblr. You're totally welcome, any time, to ramble on into my DMs and talk about experiences with shifting. I love brainstorming & sharing ideas/stories with fellow dreamers. So, the door is open to you, new friend. 💜 If you'd like to read some of my latest shifts in large detail, you should read my pinned post. It's got my latest adventures plus a summary of the DR I'm currently exploring. But I'm also cool with 1 on 1 discussion~
⚠️ Below is a rant about ageism within the Shifting Community. Please be advised that this is just my opinion...
You know, I really hold off on posting about opinions/shifting theories because this blog is solidly focused on documenting scripts & my experiences first...but. You brought up a good point. There aren't many (public) adult shifters out there on Shiftblr, Shiftok, or the many Subreddits out there that exist. And I feel like that has a lot to do with the heavy & predominant ageism (age-based shaming) within the Shifting Community as a whole. I see a lot of young shifters out there posting:
Some person who just turned 14: Woah, you're 24??? What are YOU doing in the Shifting Community???!!! 😲 🤣 😅
As if shifting is something allowed only for young people because when you "get old," you aren't allowed to dream anymore. You're supposed to "grow out of it." But let me ask anyone reading this right now: if you really, truly believed in shifting, would you "grow out of it" when you turned 26? 28? 29? How about when you're 35 like me??? Would you stop shifting to "be an adult and live in the real world"? Abandon your s/o's?? Abandon your dreams??
The aggressive vein of ageism infecting the shifting community feels like a belief issue. Like shifting is for the young because they're allowed to be "whimsical" and engage in this dreamworld on the premise that shifting isn't real and eventually, they'll "grow out of it" and get a real job or some crap like that. Fuck that. Fuck THAT. That's the same kind of abusive crap my grandfather used to yell at me when he burned my artwork and said I needed to "grow up". Stop shaming the "old" shifters!
Many of us didn't get to have a childhood. Or a stable living situation. Or a family. Or love...
Adults need their dreams, too. In fact, with how rough and cruel this reality is, I say we all owe it to ourselves to shift. To dream. To allow ourselves the JOY and LOVE we need. It's only because of my DRs that I continue to fight for a better future for myself. As an ancient adult shifter, having my DR (and s/o's) there to support me while going through the banal horrors of this reality and medical problems, shifting helps to keep me sane. It's not a thing I'm ever going to "grow up and out of" because after you shift, you realize the world is bigger and more beautiful than you could ever imagine. And why would I ever give that up?? Be kind to us adults who shift...
Because one day, you'll be old too.

✨hogwarts: in one of the hallways there’s this really big window on the 4th floor with a bench in front of it and i like to sit there and read it’s like my calm spot, that or sitting on the floor of the transfiguration hallway on a rainy day (bring blankets it’s cold)
✨fame: we have a lake house in upstate new york that has been in my family for generations and it’s just so peaceful, small town vibes away from the big cities of LA and NYC. i take writing trips up there when i can
✨stranger things: it’s hard to explain so i’ll just say jessie’s trailer. she’s a family friend and she’s watched me since i was little. i can go anytime and she’ll always let me put on a pot of coffee and stay as long as i need
✨mha: i haven’t been there a lot but right now my safe space is midoriya’s dorm. i’m always welcome and we’ll play video games or just sit and talk or we’ll get food for each other to try, it’s just always really nice and he has a very calming aura when he wants to
✨obx: my safe place is my home, the chateau. i love my little life and my husband and while i’ve always felt at home in those walls, now to get to call it my official home makes me all warm and fuzzy
Did i forget yesterday’s question of the day?
Yep… my bad
ANYWAYS! After a long difficult day it’s really important to have a personal space of your own to relax, unwind, and find solace in. For those us share a bedroom, i understand and see your struggle (moment of silence for them)… but not to worry! A safe space can be made literally anywhere.
If your safe space is ur bedroom, go with that! If it’s some discreet hidden location, also go with that!
So for today’s question of the day, where’s ur favourite place to be in ur dr?

shifting myths
✨ you have to script every detail or bad things will happen
i have scripted next to nothing for the last probably 5 drs i have shifted to and nothing has ever been that bad.
✨ scripts are fool proof
odds are every word you script isn’t gonna come true exactly how you wrote it. this isn’t some fanfiction that you are writing this is real life with real people who are real variables. shit is going to happen differently from how you saw it, that’s just life.
✨ you need a final push
this idea of a “final push” just complicates things. you need to stay calm and be ready to ground yourself in your dr.
✨ you won’t bring back trauma from scripting yourself into traumatic situations
trauma from drs is real and i don’t think most people will fully understand that until they already have trauma from their drs. i didn’t. so i’m trying to warn all of you.
✨ shifting is going to feel like this epic feeling so i have to wait for something crazy to happen
no not at all. shifting itself feels like nothing. and if you’re sleep shifting, nothing is going to happen while you’re awake anyways. stop looking for massive signs and symptoms because they are just going to distract you.

OUTER BANKS | S01E01: "Pilot"
And that's me, John Booker Routledge. And this is where I live. An old fish shack on the marsh. The Château, as my dad used to call it. There's Dad. He disappeared at sea nine months ago, looking for a shipwreck. Who disappears at sea these days? I miss him. And then there's Mom. She split when I was three. Last I heard, she was in Colorado. I think it was Colorado. That's Uncle T. Since Dad's vanished, he's supposed to be my legal guardian. At the moment, he's in Mississippi, building houses. Which means it's just me right now, on my own, hanging out with my friends. Three months after my dad was missing, he was officially presumed dead. I refused to sign the papers. Until I see a body, I'm not giving up.
