“oh they’re not taking away chronological dashboard, well everything’s okay then” they also said in the post they’re making reblogs collapsed (like comments on twitter) so you won’t see the full conversation in a post. they also won’t get rid of tumblr live despite it being an annoying and cancerous data-miner that isn’t legal in much of the world. they won’t even let you opt out of tumblr live for more than seven days. they implemented a terrible photo viewer that mimics tiktok and makes it so you can’t zoom in on images. they took away the ability to view prev tags. they’re making it so you have to sign in with your email to view almost any thing on tumblr. they’ve already made it so you have to sign in to send asks, even on anon. they’re slowly phasing out custom blog themes.
the things that make tumblr at all usable and favored by us– the older web blog features, the anonymity– that is still being taken away. it HAS been being taken away for some time now. i am urging you people to reveiwbomb the tumblr app. force them to acknowledge that users do not like these changes.

Hey my friend has hit a bad rough patch financially and could really use some help getting his rent paid this month. He and his partner have been unable to secure transportation to work recently. He's trans and diabetic, along with a few other recurring medical expenses. Any help is appreciated and helps keep them safe and housed.

Shopping for laptops fucking sucks ‘cause I don’t know shit about computers. I’ve never had a computer with a functional webcam or microphone or the ability to play computer games made later than 2005 or a speaker that could play anything loud enough to hear from more than a foot away. How the hell should I know what I want?!

YouTube is Closing down ALL family friendly channels
If you haven’t already heard about this, the FTC is planning to remove ALL channels deemed “family friendly” by the end of 2019
What this means is that content creators’ videos will be demonetized (no ads will run on videos, thus no income)
In addition to that, the comments will be disabled, leading to NO interaction between the audience and the creator.
Content creators will either be moved to the YouTube Kids app or will not be supported by the main YouTube overall.
This includes:
Game Theory
Most if not all doll-customization channels
Food channels
Education channels
Art channels
Heck, even gaming channels might get hit by this!
There’s already a petition for this, so please please please go sign it if you don’t want YouTube to be even more messed up
http://chng.it/q6MwLg5HnM
And if you want more info on this matter, feel free to go ahead and watch Phillip DeFranco’s video about this as well as J House Law’s (creator of the petition) video on it

2XL!
VENOM HOODIE GIVEAWAY!

Hello Venom Fans! As I’ve said in a previous post, I have some overstock of some Venom hoodies I made back when I was using the screen printing logo application method. Since I have since switched to heat transfer vinyl, which is cleaner and easier to apply, I can’t sell them along with my current ones. So I’m doing a little giveaway!
I have 3 of them.
one XL with a chest symbol
one 2XL with a chest symbol
one M with no chest symbol
Just reblog this post and comment or tag with which hoodie you are interested in. Multiple reblogs are accepted.
You don’t have to be following me, but no giveaway blogs. Giveaway ends on July 31, 2019. I’ll be using a random number generator to pick the winners.
And, of course, if you want to grab one of the current ones, with any size you want and with the htv symbols/eyes, just go to my Etsy listing HERE!

Why Isn’t Tumblr Freaking Out?!?!
Guys. Article 13 just got passed.
Article 13 just got passed.
Article 13 just got passed!!!!
Article 13 just got passed.
Article 13 just got passed.
Article 13 just got passed!
Article 13 just got passed.
Article 13 just got passed.
I don’t know if I’ve said it enough. So…
ARTICLE 13 JUST GOT PASSED!!!!
I have been on tumblr all morning and haven’t seen one post about it yet! I don’t understand how!
ARTICLE 13 JUST GOT PASSED!!!!
It was a 438 to 226 fucking landslide vote too. (https://www.theverge.com/2018/9/12/17849868/eu-internet-copyright-reform-article-11-13-approved)
They’re voting on it one last time in January 2019, but that’s barely any time to change anything!!!!
You still have time to call your MEPs so PLEASE!!! Do so.
If you’re outside of the EU, sign this petition: https://www.change.org/p/axel-voss-save-the-internet-reject-article-13-and-11?recruiter=839558037&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink&utm_campaign=share_petition
If you don’t know what this means, it’s basically then end of how the internet currently is in Europe. Memes? Nope. Youtubers? Bye!
You’d need a license for everything!!!!
And my fellow Americans my be all like, well, what’s the big deal for us? It’s a Europe deal.
No, because the Youtubers there that you love so much? This effects them too! I’m freaking out because Jack, the person who helps my depression go away, may no longer be able to do what he does!
Guys, we need to stop this somehow. Please.
Call your MEPs. Sign petitions. Protest (Peacefully please. Don’t get hurt).
I’m sorry for tagging you guys if you don’t want to be or already know, I just want as many people to know as possible!
I can’t tag everyone, but if you see this, please reblog it. Spread the news. Sign the petition. Call your MEPs. Do what you can to help stop this from passing in January.

Changed my icon for the time being...
I’m seriously freaking tf out over here about the whole net neutrality thing. The internet is what helps me get through my depression and anxiety by looking up pictures of animals or watching anime. Hell, it’s how I stay in contact with my friends! Please, call your senators, text BATTLE to 384-387, or go on to battleforthenet.com , and express to them that you don’t want the FCC controlling your internet access!

honestly the “picky eater” excuse allistic parents make for kids w sensory issues is so fucked
im both an autistic person + a picky eater, there were some foods i didnt wanna try because i thought they would taste bad, but some i would refuse to eat out of the fear theyd be sensory hell, some i couldnt eat because i knew they were sensory hell, and there was an obvious difference between my reaction of the two
i can handle overloads from food better now. i have a broader pallette of foods but there are still some (i.e. certain kinds of cheese, macaroni and cheese, lettuce on its own) that i cannot eat because they send me into a wild rollercoaster of a bad sensory experience
i can eat things like sauce on burgers and certain kinds of fish now, because it was a personal preference, but there definitely needs to be a clear distinction made to allistic parents of autistic children that even if they are “picky eaters” that they deserve to be respected if they dont or cant eat certain food, its a clear cut situation that just boils down to lack of respect and willingness to understand

Net Neutrality is in DEEP Trouble
Reposted from Facebook’s PBS Newshour.
Now that I got your attention with this video…
The FCC decided to go ahead with the vote to remove the Net Neutrality rules that the Obama administration set up.
As you can see, this is what the major ISPs wants to do if they have their way. This can do a few things:
Stiff new innovations, making it harder for smaller companies to compete.
Silence independent voices.
Potentially putting up a “walled garden” on a wide scale.
Make distribution of information harder for low-income people.
Imagine this website, if you will, only working on Verizon networks while AT&T customers are charged a little extra, or have slower access to the same information.
Remember, your ISP owns content providers and may give top-shelf, VIP treatment to their own things while stiffing everyone else. We need to address this.
Now, some of you may recall earlier this year that John Oliver and a lot of other people, companies (and yours truly) did a rallying cry to tell the FCC to back off the Net Neutrality rules, which resulted in millions of comments on their proposal.
However, there’s been a few problems… in short, it seems that the FCC chose to not listen due to “inconsistancies”.
Sidenote: Tumblr isn’t the best place to talk “long-form” so if you’re interested in looking at these notes, here are some places to go to.
https://medium.com/@AGSchneiderman/an-open-letter-to-the-fcc-b867a763850a - “ Specifically, for six months my office has been investigating who perpetrated a massive scheme to corrupt the FCC’s notice and comment process through the misuse of enormous numbers of real New Yorkers’ and other Americans’ identities. Such conduct likely violates state law — yet the FCC has refused multiple requests for crucial evidence in its sole possession that is vital to permit that law enforcement investigation to proceed.”
https://twitter.com/BanditRandom/status/933066570741383169 - A twitter thread about how the Wall Street Journal collected someone’s information to sign in FAVOR of Net Neutrality.
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2017/09/fake-net-neutrality-comments-at-heart-of-lawsuit-filed-against-fcc/ - “Fake” net neutrality comments at heart of lawsuit filed against FCC
So, what can we do about this?
There are a few things you can do to help slow down this nightmare situation.
You can’t just “like” this note, you have to reblog to spread, but more importantly, you have to TAKE action!
1) Make calls to your representatives - https://5calls.org/issue/defend-fcc-net-neutrality - this website will tell you who to call and an easy-to-follow script so that you know exactly what to say.
2) You can support groups like the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the ACLU and Free Press who are fighting to keep Net Neutrality:
https://www.eff.org/
https://www.aclu.org/
https://www.freepress.net/
https://www.fightforthefuture.org/
https://www.publicknowledge.org/
https://www.demandprogress.org/
3) You can add a comment to the proposal using John Oliver’s URL at http://www.gofccyourself.com
4) Write a letter to your representative. Not an email, an actual, snail mail letter.
Let’s all band together and do something about this. Our future of sharing information, building innovation, nurturing voices and creativity depends on your actions now!
I know it may sound hopeless. Look at when they announced this (you probably didn’t know they announced this on Monday when you’re busy getting ready to for the holiday!). But if we say it with one voice to BACK OFF THE NET, we maybe able to make a difference.
