So I just saw It Chapter 2 again and it hurts worse the second time

Here are a few things that I noticed I needed to make a post about.

* When Richie and Eddie are arm wrestling at the table, people are telling me it’s EDDIE that says “let’s take off our shirts and kiss!” EVEN BETTER.

* When the weird creatures pop out of the fortune cookies, Richie automatically calls out “Eddie” who’s on the other side of the room. They just met again like 20 minutes ago and he already remembers he loves him I’m-

* Richie saying he doesn’t owe this town shit is really telling after he says he just remembered he grew up there 20 minutes ago, likely remembering all the homophobic, repressive shit he dealt with there.

* Richie in a hurry for Eddie to pack his stuff even though they’re in separate vehicles?? Seems they planned to leave the situation but not each other.

* Richie’s tortured facial expressions during his childhood flashbacks my poor baby

* The way Richie is so withdrawn after his encounter with Pennywise, where he’s always jokey or talkative in some respect, his arms are tucked into his jacket and he refuses to talk to Ben or Beverly about what happened and just insists he’s going home rather withdrawn, not willing to tell anybody about what happened because, you know.

* On another note, I noticed Richie always has his hands in his pockets in every scene?? It seems like he’s trying to shrink into himself or it’s Bill Hader notoriously not knowing what to do with his hands.

* Richie IMMEDIATELY going to Eddie in the corner after Spider Stan and asking him if he’s okay.

* Eddie, near tears after Bill yells at him. I honestly doubt he’s almost crying from being yelled at, rather, frustration at himself or the idea of Richie dying made him nearly cry.

* Richie easily forgiving Eddie for freezing up and calling it that he had a “moment” during their pep-talk as if it was nothing, not holding his fear against him at all.

* Literally every damn moment they’re in peril, Richie is yelling out Eddie’s name.

* When they’re all at It’s landing place after the ritual and Pennywise is creating a giant balloon, Richie yells “Eddie!” over at the other end, where Eddie is.

* Richie, asking Pennywise if he wants to play truth or dare and calling him a sloppy bitch, finally opening up in some degree about what Pennywise has been torturing him about.

* The fact that Eddie’s first instinct is to go to Richie, because he knows he’ll be proud of him for killing It?? My heart.

* The way Eddie says Richie’s name twice after being impaled. That says a lot in this scene. The only thing he could say in that moment is Richie, over and over?

* The absolutely HEARTBROKEN way Richie says Eddie’s name in return.

* Richie’s disappointed face when Eddie says he fucked his mom, like cmon they so did that on purpose Richie was ABSOLUTELY hoping for a love confession.

* They literally have to drag Richie off Eddie’s body, I already knew that but I wanted to REITERATE.

* In every shot of the camera during the scene where they’re all escaping the house as it collapses, every single shot you see Ben still holding Richie in some way, his arm or otherwise. He had to drag him out or he would’ve died with Eddie.

* Richie, having a moment of grief to himself after he loses his glasses and everyone is occupied trying to find them.
