Okay so like half a year ago I had. A ninjago dream. And I never mention my dreams but like sometimes I’ll just remember this one at random times and this is one of those times and I feel like tumblr needs to know about it for some reason

the dreams plot was barely coherent I don’t even know if I could explain it BUT!!!

At some point Cole and Jay are in Jays like. Apartment/office or something. And I VERY vividly remember that Jay had like a makeshift genderfluid flag on their desk.

And Cole’s immediate reaction was “oh why didn’t he tell us !!!!” And immediately after wonders if he should make a bigender flag for herself. This dream has since perpetually lived in my head as the “Genderfluid Jay & Bigender Cole” dream.

And like just to clarify, from what I can remember the reason Cole went “why didn’t she tell us” is because he was really worried he’d been using the wrong pronouns and bothering Jay. And then. She follows up with the bigender thing. Which I’m pretty sure he didn’t tell the ninja about either.

Which is definitely such a them thing to do. Like that would happen you can’t convince me otherwise at this point.

I’ve never personally been a genderfluid Jay headcanoner but some part of me still thinks about this.

Has zero volume control whatsoever

He can NOT be quiet for the life of him

There is no way he doesn’t have some form of anxiety disorder

Like his entire panic and fear definitely seem like anxiety to me

Has a plushie he still sleeps with for comfort and is emotionally attached to (which is super real of him honestly)

Panic attacks

He DEFINITELY has hyperfixations

Have you just seen him in general

That one short where he just starts running around on the roof

Also that one time he and Kai were supposed to train and got distracted by competition (Actually this could probably apply to all the ninja because they do this type of thing all the time)

Got so hyperfixated on dancing games that he learnt how to dance

I don’t think he can sit still it just doesn’t seem possible to me

(I’m not a Jay fan so I can’t point to much else off the top of my head but we’re all in agreement there’s no way he’s neurotypical right?)

Probably taught himself several different ninja things he had no need to learn (why can he fight with a sword and nunchucks when he never uses either of them outside of a single special) (this also applies to shields and staffs and throwing stars but those are at least practical)

He says it’s to prepare but really he did it for fun

(he physically can’t do anything else it’s too boring) (even when he’s not ninjaing he needs to practice once a day minimum or else he explodes)

Has caused several misunderstandings due to bad social skills (he can NOT read the room for the life of him)

I generally headcanon Cole as aroace but I sort of have a seperate AU Cole version in my head that I used to use for shipping. Generally if I do ship i guess it’d be like. Bruise. But tbh I prefer them as platonic besties who occasionally joke flirt because I find that amusing.

(Sandstorm is also cool though because it has ghost Cole arc potential)

Bruise kinda wins by default though since I don’t really care for any of the other ships on the list and. I can’t think of any other ships that I care for besides sandstorm. So.

I used to like lava but then I started to notice that they don’t really have any sort of meaningful arcs or story or interaction together so now it just feels kinda boring to me (no offense to lava shippers I just can’t really get invested in them on a romantic basis there’s just not enough there for me)

I have no clue how to feel about lost shipping tbh but too much of it was off screen for me to really feel invested in their relationship at all as of now.

And Glacier I’ve just never cared for but that might be because I feel a fundamental disconnect from Zane as a character (which. Is ironic tbh) which means I don’t really care for their relationship. I think the only Zane relationship I really care much for is either Pixane or like. Specifically ghost cole. And I couldn’t even tell you why I care for Pixane specifically tbh.

Probably disappointed at worst tbh because I’m usually too self conscious to post anything regarding the fandom in general and already had to cut a lot of elaboration from this post because I felt like someone might find it too mean hdhfdhfhfhdhf

Is Aroace Lloyd still. Uh. Poorly handled….? Or have we improved

Genuinely I have zero clue how to describe arins spinjitzu transfer power element thing so I guess it’s just Arin. He just does that. We don’t know why or how or what it’s called but he does it.

so like I made an element post several months ago and. found it today (because I don’t post much right now lol) and was thinking about it so I tried making a chart of how I think elements might be related

I didn’t put the new elements in the “tree” simply because. I think it’d render this entirely irrelevant by the time part 2 comes out. and. I have zero clue how to sort them Ngl.

(Tbh I was very torn on whether to just do elements in general or elements by like elemental masters. Because. the two are very different for me. So I did do an alternative version but I scrapped it cuz it made no sense and I didn’t like it but I’ll show it at the end)

The lines just show there’s some relation between them. Sometimes elements can control eachother, sometimes only one can control the other, etc.

basically I think that the elements existed in ninjago BEFORE the FSM came into existence. If there was an ocean there has to be a sea floor. If there was a storm there has to be lightning, so on and so forth. The elements always existed and have always been intrinsic parts of ninjago. This might also apply to some of the other realms, specifically the first realm probably also abides by this. Since several native species in ninjago have elemental traits plus. Wojira. it’s probably always been present to some degree, just not usually in humans. So while the original elemental masters of creation may have gotten their powers from the FSM, the elements themselves exist in a lot of places and have always been present in the realm. In fact I think a lot of the “secondary” elemental masters probably got it from the environment somehow like the way water and wind ems seem to have gotten it from wojira (? Tbh I don’t remember much of seabound since I never rewatched it and that part of the lore had tons of plotholes iirc so it was really hard for me to follow)

Gravity, light and time are the most “overarching” elements because they mainly define a lot of the basic principles of the world and so without those elements the others can’t really exist. Especially gravity. Time and gravity are related since time is affected by gravity.

Mind and amber are sort of their own things. Amber is manmade (apparently??? I think I read the comic but I don’t know if it’s still considered canon and I forgot most of it lol ) so it isn’t actually related to any other element even if you would sort of think it was.

mind is really confusing because it’s not really a physical thing or related to any sort of foundational law or… anything, really. It’s just very isolated from the other elements and not really. Connected to any of them. So tbh I’m just gonna shove it with amber in the weird squad.

Also here’s the original list that was based around origins. I think it looks cleaner but it definitely makes a lot less sense.

I mostly scrapped it bc I didn’t like the placements of gravity and stuff or the fact that a lot of related elements weren’t depicted that at.

Sooo yeah that’s the elements chart ig !!! I’ll probably add image descriptions tomorrow I’m too tired

I remember the time I would watch Day of the departed like 20+ times constantly, except after like 5 or 10 rewatches I started skipping all the scenes without Cole in them because the entire villain fight scenes were super filler and I wanted my ghost Cole content, so I’d just rewatch EXCLUSIVELY the Cole portions over and over

The only reason for it was that there was no other ghost Cole content, I hadn’t realized tumblr and AO3 existed yet, and I had gotten bored of rewatching possession and skybound 20 times each

to clarify, there’s still no ghost Cole content. I’m just lucky not to be hyper fixated on ghost Cole right now.

Like I’ve seen people mention it but. What is it. I’m scared.

There comes a time every year where the Ninjago fandom has been deprived of content for too long. Sometimes they try to rekindle ship wars. Sometimes we fight over who is more traumatized. Other times we Ras at Shadow Dojo
