it's been foreeeevvvveeeerrrrrr since i've done anything ben 10 related at all, so i figured i'd finally start back up (or rather finish off) an old ben 10 series of mine. i mean, i say series its more like. a group of aliens that were all genetically made by another, greater species. Said species is exactly what I REFUSE is! his species is the one that made three other fan-aliens of mine (Swansong, Blockade & Catacomb). time for the fun little lore dump!

I REFUSE is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Genesiphic Muta from the now dead world of KryspR. I REFUSE, as its name suggests, is an alien Ben has refused to even bother naming. We don't blame him for this, especially after learning of what the Muta have done. It seems this refusal to name his aliens has carried over to other transformations he's unlocked later. This is the very last alien Ben has named, as of current.

The Genesiphic Muta were nothing short of despicable. They were one of many hyper-intelligent species in the universe, and sat among the same levels of the likes of Galvan & Cerebrocrustacean. Unlike these two species whose technology was purely mechanical, the Muta were masters of genetic modification. They created life from nothing & brought about dozens of species never previously considered to be possible. They were brilliant, but their tactics were deemed unethical by most of the galaxy. Their creations, which no longer wished to be associated with them, began to rebel against them. So they cut themselves off from the rest of the universe & began a systematic, intergalactic takeover on a scale that has never previously been replicated before, and will hopefully never happen again. The isolation drove them all to insanity & they began to create life for sole purposes. They made life for emotional support, living walls to protect their people, necromancers who would bring back the dead & tell of when the Muta would inevitably die. And of course, they modified themselves further. They became smarter than even the likes of Azmuth. Stronger than 100 Tetramands. Faster than Citrakayah. They began genetically modifying soldiers sent to the planet for war into other, new Muta before sending them back out to battle to be killed by those who no longer recognised them. They had done everything in their power to try & live forever, but they were eventually overthrown from the inside out. The Grimmanurans had begun an uprising on KryspR, and since the Muta had cut themselves off from the outside universe, they had nowhere to escape to. And for the next 4 days, every single Muta that had ever been known were either mercilessly slaughtered or left half-alive & in unimaginable agony & pain. Using what little technology the Muta had left behind, the Grimmanurans used it to go into hiding, presumably to never return. Until they were disturbed by a Volaticus Biopsis, which subsequently sampled the only Muta left alive & a Grimmanuran to add to the Codon Stream.

I REFUSE's abilities allow him to edit the genetic structure of any organic life they come in contact with. The second he touches you, even once & for half a second, they leave behind a yellow residue that soaks into the skin instantly & allows for instantaneous, remote gene editing. He can enhance the physical characteristics of others, bring about controlled mutations or even transform their DNA into that of another species. I REFUSE is also capable of editing his own genes to become stronger & faster. Given the nature of I REFUSE's abilities, these changes are registered into the Codon Stream & carry over between transformation. Moreover, I REFUSE's DNA donor was hyper-intelligent and, as such, I REFUSE was gifted that same intellect.

I REFUSE's abilities are irreversable. I REFUSE can't undo any changes made to anyone, and they do not go away. Ben has used this transformation a single time, and that was exclusively to greatly disfigure Vilgax's genetic structure during a final battle, leaving him horribly disfigured & trapped in a stasis pod, where he remains to this day. Ben does not want to remind the atrocities of what the Muta have done to it, and has the transformation locked for the time being so as to not mistransform into it. But could Ben potentially use I REFUSE's abilities to better the galaxy? Or will the rest of the universe forever remember what harm the Muta brought to it? Only time will tell...
