A little theory on why Yellowfang was named "Yellowkit."

Born to Silverflame and Cedarstar as Brightkit, Brightflower had three other littermates: Chamomilekit, Yellowkit, and Slatekit. Firstly, Chamomilekit was stillborn. She was a small, Cream she-cat with white paws. If she had lived, she would've been Mousewing's mate and become Chamomiletoe.

Secondly, Slatekit was the runt of Silverflame's litter. He was a tiny, black tom-kit with small ears. He died at the age of five weeks from weakness.

Lastly, Brightflower's only surviving sister was named Yellowpaw. She looked very much like Yellowfang (Flattened Muzzle, Unkept fur, orange eyes) and she died saving Brightpaw from a fox during their warrior assessment. If she hadn't died, she would've became Yellowcloud.

By the time her first litter's arrival, Brightflower gave birth to a gray kit that looked familiar, being reminded of her long-gone sister, Brightflower named this kit Yellowkit in honor of her sister's legacy and hoped she would become a great leader judt like her sister would have.

A little theory...

What if Goosefeather was somehow related to the sisters because he can see ghosts/spirits of dead cats? Perhaps his father Rooktail was somehow the kit of one of the sisters, but he used to see dead cats and outgrew it as he got older?
