I made some little animal crossing characters of some of the dogs at the shelter I work at to put into the little info sheets on their kennels. I tried to focus on the ones that have been their the longest to hopefully draw some more attention to them and help them get noticed.

I swear man, whenever I see the concept art for rises endemic life. A lot of it seems cooler than what we actually got. Also makes me sad we weren’t able to put pets in our house like world.

Rayquaza, the Sky High Pokemon, has descended! It is the third mascot of the third generation of Pokemon games.

Pokemon

Rayquaza spends most of its life in the skies, and will never touch the earth for several millennia at a time. It feeds on water particles and fallen stars in the skies as it travels the world several times a year. It is said the worst storms endured by the Draconid people are caused by Rayquaza, as violent clashes in the sky seem to herald the coming of a hurricane in the Hoenn Region.

Rayquaza is another "final boss" sort of monster, and the battle takes place atop the Sky Pillar, a towering ancient structure in the center of a hurricane caused by Rayquaza's wrath. While Groudon and Kyogre's clash has been ended by the hunters of the League, Rayquaza's wrath remains unsatiable.

Rayquaza manipulates the weather by controlling the flow of the winds, and the weather can go from a bright sunny day to a violent hailstorm during the battle. To mitigate this hunters must prepare hot and cold drinks for field consumption, lest they suffer the effects of adverse weather. Rayquaza can instantly eliminate any hunters blown away by its Hurricane move, so hunters should retreat or take shelter when it executes this move, or they can risk it by trying to knock it down, as Rayquaza can be vulnerable at this time.

Armor

Rayquaza armor mitigates all weather effects, while providing buffs according to which weather is in effect. Sunny day improves attack, Sandstorm improves defense, Rain improves stamina regeneration and Hail mitigates sharpness decrease.

Weapons

Rayquaza weapons deal Dragon damage while grounded, and Flying damage while airborne

So I finally got around to finishing the rest of the Primal Kwamis and designing a miracle box for them. These for will round out the group for a total of 10.

Chose to continue with my theme of lesser known dinosaurs and prehistoric animal.

Loot is an Oviraptor. He’s a bit of a Klepto, loves to take little trinkets and such from his holder’s home or really… anywhere and sort of horde them. He’s pretty protective of his stash aswell even his own miraculous, may take some convincing to get him to hand it over so you can transform. But you can always trade him his favorite food hard boiled eggs.

Malla is an Edmontinia. When I posted the first group on Reddit someone suggested that i do an ankylosaur, and this was the first really unique one that came to mind. Despite her tough shell Malla is very soft spoken and sensitive. She loves hugs and cuddles, though her spikes can get in the way. Her favorite food is pineapple.

Torro is a Carnotaurus. Fancies himself the leader of the Primals(though none of the others would agree with that). He tries really hard to be big and tough. Don’t mention his little baby arms it really sets him off. His favorite food is beef jerky.

And last is Inno who is a gorgonopsid. Very pugnacious, loves to hide and launch “sneak attacks” on the other Kwamis or her holder. Has sort of a feral huntress mentality and is super competitive. Her favorite food is ham.

And this is their miracle box I wanted it to look really timeworn and rough.

I wanted to do some kwamis based on prehistoric animals and dinosaurs. I also wanted to mix in a fair bit of lesser known dinosaurs just for the sake of uniqueness. Originally I was gonna make them adoptables but then I came up with little personalities for all of them and ended up liking them too much.( but I really wanna make some more and those will be adoptables or I might just do comms so if you have any suggestions for dinosaurs you’d like to see leave them in the comments.)

Kraash is a Stygimoloch. As the kwami of tenacity he himself is very belligerent, bombastic, and headstrong. Also has a heavy Australian accent cuz for whatever reason that’s what I always imagined when he talked and it really grew on me. His favorite food is peanuts that he likes to crack on himself.

Radd is a Pteranodon. He has a chill “surfer dude” sort of personality but rather than a love of the waves he has a love of the sky. His favorite food is cotton candy because it reminds him of clouds.

Sonata is a Parasaurolophus. She has a love of all things musical though singing is her passion. She especially loves opera and pop music. Expect to be woken up with a song. Her favorite food is carrots

Sool is a Spinosaurus. Despite being the kwami of the sun he’s a late sleeper but once he warms up he’s full of energy. His favorite food is anchovies.

Lazzma is an Elasmosaurus(type of plesiosaur). An absolute cinnamon roll.She loves giving gifts, usually shells or pearls or something similar. Nothing makes her happier then getting her friends or holder to smile. Her favorite food is sushi tuna is her absolute favorite.

And finally we have Sheer who is a Therizinosaurus. Had a bit of a hero complex. Became obsessed with ninjas after seeing tons of old style martial arts movies so he tries acts mysterious. Also loves to watch forged on fire, or really anything with swords in it. His favorite food is orange slices and he cuts them perfectly everytime.

A non-exhaustive list in no particularly sane order of shit nobody told me in Pokemon Arceus that would have been really fucking cool to know.

1. Release your unwanted pokemon. Don’t sit on those 15 starlys that you caught for research. They give you items when you release them. Not quite as morbid sounding as the infamous “candies” from Pokemon Go, but I’m not going to ask where all this grit comes from.

2. Go collect those lost satchels. Not only are you recovering actual people’s items for you (thank you random internet strangers!) but that’s how you get merit points… something I wish that lady at the cart could have told me when I was trying to figure out wtf she was all about.

3. Pay attention to the shopkeepers’ side quests. That’s how their inventory gets better.

4. Remember to stay on top of the farmer and his crops. It is absolutely worth the trouble to get him to grow your materials for you.

5. Check the board in the professor’s office once in awhile. You get no indication there’s new quests there unless you are already in the building for some reason.

6. You can get eevee right at the beginning of the game if you go left out of the first base camp and hang out in that field. The moss stone to get a leafeon is in the south of the first area so you can get your first eevee evolution early on. I’ve seen a lot of people say the spawn rate here is bad but I see them all the time so YMMV.

7. You cannot swim. The game doesn’t try to stop you, but you will die and it will suck.

8. You take fall damage. But not as much as you think So yeet yourself off that cliff. Really, what could happen?

9. You aren’t getting out of crafting in this game. Sorry.

10. We finally have a game where status effect moves are worth having! When you’re trying to catch that alpha and it has a sliver of health and it still won’t get in the fucking pokeball… a solid paralyze or drowsy just might make the difference.

11. Oh, btw, if you’re brand new at this… don’t get too excited when you find that red eyed demon rapidash in the field off to the left of the first base camp. If you get too close he will murder you and he won’t even feel bad about it. That’s an alpha. They are bonkers strong. I don’t know why none of your new coworkers thought to mention that.

12. You have to turn in your research notes. This isn’t something that I missed doing but my husband was wandering around for a loooong time before he realized that’s why he wasn’t making any progress.

13. Some of the sidequests are really vague about what they want from you. Just google it. “I need a pokemon with three leaves on my head”. Bitch, I have so many pokemon with so many leaves, you are going to have to be more specific than that!

14. Check out your map. That’s where you can track your missions and requests. Took me forever to find it.

15. That deer is going to get you killed so so often. Controlling him is like drunk driving a pogo stick that has a turbo button where the dismount button should be.
