Emma watched as the woman's expression changed from worry to a more comfortable one of distaste. She much preferred it that way, Emma Frost didn't appreciate pity. "That's logical." The mutant said levelly, her features never faltering or giving away any emotion. "How am I supposed to answer the question when you won't elaborate the reasons behind it?" She egged her on, more in wanting to know what point had the other woman seen what she had desperate tried to mask. She had perfected the art of disguising her weaknesses and it intrigued her how this stranger had seen past that. "Come on, tell me."

What was a look of concern soon dissolved into irritation. She rolled her eyes. She shifted weight from one leg to the other. She scoffed, and finally settled her gaze back on the other woman, pursing her lips. “I am not going to answer that. You know very well what I am talking about,” she snapped.

Emma quirked an eyebrow before looking back down at her paper before folding it away. The telepath leaned back in her chair before picking up her coffee and taking a long sip. She looked at Regina with a quizzical expression, utterly amused by the woman's words. "And what 'look' is that?"

Regina stood her ground, crossing her arms over her chest as she continued to study the blonde “Is that so?” she mused, quirking a brow. “Because I know that look all too well, dear. I’ve perfected it.”
