What happens during HGSS and ORAS? Since it’s confirmed these 2 take place after Emerald. And speaking of Emerald, what happens during that?

Lost Special takes place of the time that would have been spent in the Battle Frontier in canon; because it is what happens after the battle with Groudon and Kyogre. I had to rework it a few times in my head - but the Lost Special AU plot is basically a split from the canon in question of like; well what if ruby and sapphire actually couldn't control the orbs like they could in the actual manga, and instead got brain snatched by Groudon and Kyogre like Archie and Maxie did.

As far as ORAS (I haven't gotten this far in the manga yet - still in the DPP arc but close to the end) and HGSS, I haven't really decided at all yet. I only have a vague idea of what will happen in LGFR - and perhaps a different ending? Maybe only one person gets the stone death ray? Maybe no one? I'm not sure yet.

I do know I still want to include Gold and Crystal at one point in Lost Special.

Instead of being given the title of Hatcher, in this AU Gold gets the title of Protector which means he is more or less just a glorified body guard 👍

I don’t have any children myself, but I work retail and I’ve seen several families struggle to wrangle their toddlers

So I can just imagine how the old man would keep him in line

Yeah.... I don't think Pryce deals with children well.

( i cannot wait to write this dude getting knocked into endless timeloop actually like I want him to suffer - and no he doesn't get to come back no consequences in hgss I'll make him suffer then to )

So, I have a weird headcanon regarding for the Au:

Missingno is basically the one who screwed up this entire specific Pokespe timeline by causing the whole ‘Save File Corrupted’ thing, it’s also taking the whole “Save File Is Corrupted” title from the beginning of the blog literally:

So, yeah, he basically accidentally caused some glitches which caused the Save File to crash and restart. But with some major changes.

Now, this is just a personal headcanon of mine I want to let out, but it’s fine if this isn’t canon

so I know lore wise, these AUs can be a little hard to keep up with. Here is a general idea of each one for you that I will keep linked on my pinned 👍 have fun

▸ Corruption Special ◂

Red in this au, was influenced to join team rocket at a young age in an attempt to become a strong trainer. He meets Green(m) after visiting his home town; which infuriates Red. And after connecting the dots and finding out Green is the grandson of Prof Oak who has a research center in town; he breaks into the lab and steals the pokedex and Bulbasaur so him and Green will be (what he sees) on equal footing next battle.

Over the course of this AU, Red starts to see team rocket through a different perspective and slowly starts to turn his back on the organization. As well as helping in it's downfall.

Once Yellow is brought onto the research team by Prof Oak, they are ambushed by a rocket grunt known as Blue(f); who steals the pokedex from Yellow. Yellow travels and trains under Green (and to a lesser extent Red) while they search for the grunt.

▸ Masked Special ◂

After the dexholder Yellow comes into contact with the pokemon Celebi briefly, their understanding and proof of the event is sent back to the johto branch Prof Elm. Unfortunately somehow this information reaches Pryce, who sends his student Silver out to steal the information package and bring it back. Silver fails to do so because of a local troublemaker - Gold. After Silver reports back, Pryce decides to take matters into his own hands. He tracks down Gold; and blackmails him via taking part of his family hostage, as well as threatening Gold's mom. Instead Gold will work under him, and help Pryce in his plan to catch Celebi.

Meanwhile Crystal, who was offered an internship at the johto labs; has had that opportunity temporarily revoked while the search for Gold is still active. She decides to take the dex anyway, and resolve the problem. She eventually comes face to face with the Masked Trainers; whom she looses to. But she unexpectedly finds Gold and Silver; who give her all the information she needs. Including the part where the two plan on stopping Pryce before he can reach his goal. She agrees to help, and proves herself worthy of being one of Pryce's pupils to help Gold and Silver carry out their betrayal.

▸ Lost Special ◂

Ruby moves to Hoenn, and not soon after meeting his rival Sapphire. The two place their bet, and set out soon after into the Hoenn region. This AU starts after the final chapter of the main plotline. The difference being; Sapphire and Ruby unfortunately fall under the control of the Blue & Red orbs they take away from Maxie and Archie during the battle against Groudon and Kyogre. The gym leaders of Hoenn have managed to seal the legendaries within Soot. City and evacuate the citizens from their homes. However they are all to aware of that Ruby and Sapphire are not only missing, but also possibly under the control of Groudon and Kyogre who definitely are planning on escaping somehow. Luckily Ruby's friend; Wally offers a hand in finding the two before they can do any harm. And alongside him, Emerald; a mysterious kid whom he met in Sky Pillar. Emerald seems to have a knack for communicating with Pokemon, which comes in use as the two set out to search for the missing Ruby and Sapphire.

▸ Legends Special ◂

atleast thus far ..

Dia, Pearl, Platinum; along with Cynthia and Cyrus are trapped within a space time distortion that sends the group back in time to ancient Hisuia. Dia is dropped near the diamond clan, and sustains head injury. Causing him to loose a good bit of his memory. Pearl is dropped in the snowy mountains, and found passed out in a blizzard by the pearl clan. Platinum is found by a beach near the Team Galaxy Headquarters, and taken in by the research team to help uncover the appearance of the space time distortion. Cynthia and Cyrus are no where to be seen (yet)

So yeah this is the basic idea for each AU thus far, hopefully I'll get to keep adding onto this. Thank you for reading 👋 take care have fun

an idea has emerged writing wise with how i want to stretch crystal's character over the course of the masked special fic. see I personally feel like her mom's gotta do something insane work wise because of what little context to her character we are given in the manga? like chick is riding in a helicopter?

so basically I'm thinking ok in this au her mom is a relatively well known trainer who participates in alot of tournaments. this is what pushes crystal to have such a drive for pokemon and wanting to work along side the professors to begin with, but under all that there is alotttttt of stress.

lets be honest her mom doesn't really give me the impression she is present like normal -

(I mean because lore wise - how did Crystal get stuck in the mountains with broken arms for a WEEK WHICH HAPPENED CANON? and she was like what? 5????)

- but given what we do know about her mom, is there is obviously a sort of pressure she puts on crystal herself to succeed. so without including her mom anymore than the manga does, I would kind of like to dive deeper into that pressure. and not to mention, Crystal's own reaction to failure. Except I want to take it a different direction when addressing feelings of failure on Crystals part. What do I mean by that?

Well lets put it into perspective lore wise right

So AU timeline, crystal is offered an intern ship by the professors and offered a pokedex. But this offer is sadly withdrawn after gold's disappearence because why would you logically want to bring another kid into this when one already has gone missing mysteriously right?

Now from Crystal's perspective; she's worked very hard for this. This was supposed to be her starting point into the work she dreams of doing. And then it's just taken back just like that. Her reaction to it; (spoiler fic wise if you read it and plan on continuing to read it) is to take the dex anyways and set out on her own to find gold. This way she can work her way into the internship again. But I want to encounter not just the legendary 3, but also some of the other masked kids in her attempts to uncover what happened to Gold. and she will fail 👍 and theres gonna be a crash out

HOWEVER I want to do something with that feeling of failure for her. And I want it to more so reflex not on what she failed on, but what caused it all to come falling apart in the first place; which would be Pryce's fault that she (may or may not - I don't know don't ask me) will learn from Gold and Silver.

Therefore, it wasn't really her lack of ambition that caused the misfortune; as much as it was evil schemes and shit happening outside of what she could control. So what is the solution? well maybe throwing some old guy into a time portal so he'll stop making everyone else's life harder can help idk?

anyway just wanted to share some thoughts on crystals character for the masked au, open to ideas 👍

when I tell you this au design for these two has sat in my files literally since I made this blog - but its the two others part of the mask of ice group. the two that were in team rocket but still worked for pryce. they show up like twice. so guess what, naturally that means I will give them a bigger role to play in this au because I mean why not.

(besides I basically just made them my ocs now)

Sooooooo first off, they trained under pryce, but joined team rocket under cover roughly around the same time as red (who was fairly young - 7) so the three of them actually know each other! Red was often put on the same patrol as these two so they trained often! of course after team rocket is broken apart - red cuts all ties with any rocket grunts he knows

they also are aware of blue(f) being apart of team rocket, as she is aware of them as well. but they hold the fact that they know where silver is as blackmail so that she doesn't rat them out. however, it is the reason blue(f) actually knows silver is still alive and training under pryce - thus the reason she gathers zapdos, articuno, and moltres within the masked special plot. she is using what little connections to team rocket she has left to gather powerful pokemon to stop Pryce

they also act as sort of guards over the facility the masked group is hiding out in. and double as the strongest of pryce's students - and his more trusted.

so there you go, a little au lore dump for you!

mmmm leaving platinum out for now because I'm still deciding if I just want to go with the normal legends scout fit for her or maybe something slightly different, but here is dia & pearl for this au!

So ideas for this au plot thus far:

Platium, Dia, Pearl, Cyrus, and Cynthia are (for one reason or another) trapped within a space time distortion and sent to ancient sinnoh

all 5 are split up

This happens the night of the dpp trio's argument, and no they don't get to make up before hand they fought and those are the last words those 3 exchanged with each other

Dia gets airdropped near the diamond clan settlement in hisuian - gets a head injury - saved by the diamond clan but unfortunately has lost a good bit of his memories

pearl is airdropped near the pearl clan, is found passed out in a blizzard by the pearl clan and saved - pearl doesn't loose any of his memoires but only knows that dia was taken here with him as well

platinum ends up closer to were the beginning of legends arceus takes place - she only has vague memoires and cannot remember dia or pearl

thats all i got for now, but the gears are turning so you will probably see some random ramble posts
