doing visual art is so cool bc sometimes you’re just going about your day, notice a thing, look at it real good & go “huh ok i’ll try that next time i draw/sculpt/paint that”
and then you do that, and learn from the experience, expanding your skill
#its like scanning things in vidya games#like i just looked at my own hair and took note of how light reflects on it#and you can do this with shit like the way horses move#or the way sunlight filters through leaves#or the direction your dogs fur settles#or the shapes hands can make#you use your eyes and go ‘i can attempt that’#then you fucking DO IT#whether its good it not#its added to your arsenal of techniques#therefore honing your craft#ALL CAUSE YOU USED YOUR EYES REAL GOOD#textpost
