oughh i really do love hep a lot. they make me happy. i mean, they're my ocs, they should make me happy. but i haven't been satisfied making ocs in the past before until making my sekai sillies. so they really do mean a lot to me

i'm literally so sorry @veilofwoe, i've literally wrote half of this and just. deadass never did anything else. so sorry if you're no longer interested in making sekai ocs, but still going to share my thought process! more under the cut because. it's very long /lh

so how i first thought of these losers.... (hep a la mode) name recap cause i don't talk abt them a lot: amano taiyo (m), fukuhara hibari (f), endou miyuki (f), yoshida amataka (m)

type of group + genres:

okay, i knew for a fact that if i wanted to make a sekai group, there would be lots of jazz music. solely because i rlly like jazz ADSFGFH and the only way they would work is being a band because in what other music group could you get jazz? (there's probably other ways, but band was the easiest cause of the instruments LOL)

they all have their respective instruments (taiyo on double bass, miyuki on piano, and amataka on drums) yet i couldn't think of an instrument for hibari other than vocals. yes, she's not the face of the group, but the voice i gave her is more fitting with the songs i chose for hep as a bonus, whenever i get to imagine 3dmvs, i like to think hibari is doing a little dance with the music behind a microphone pole... cause she's cute like that

speaking of songs, it was hard making a playlist since i didn't wanna choose "boring" (if i thought abt them in a rhythm game sense) or "songs that have too much of a vocaloid sound" (idk how to explain it but as a synth fan first, that's just how i hear it...) and it's a bit of a mess cause they have songs that are extremely unrealistic to play as a band (cause why is there electro swing in here? /lh but also fun to think of more 2dmv specific stuff sooo) so musically, i think they're a bit weak dfbgfhdgd but jazz has always been one of my favourite genres (besides electropop/technopop but that goes for my idol groups hehe)

people might think creating OC lore involves a lot of thinking & planning, but in my personal experience, OC development is more like a divine vision from a god slamming you over the head with a mallet while ur doing the fuckin dishes or folding laundry

"We should get matching couples shirts for our next practice session." mused Amataka, flipping through the racks that the store had to offer.

"'Couples'? 'Matching'?" Taiyo repeated, then gulped at the idea of the purple-haired girl hating whatever tacky shirts the older boy wanted to choose. There was probably a reason why she chose herself as the one in charge of performance uniforms. "What would Miyuki-san think?"

"Oh, you're right." Amataka looked thoughtful then gave him that smile that made Taiyo stupidly weak in the knees. "Then we should get matching couples shirts for her and Hibari-san as well."

"'Matching'?" Taiyo repeated again, his voice high-pitched and squeaky. "All four of us?"
