When I think about it, I always was pretty much nonhuman, like even in childhood. My mom tells me stories about how I insisted she treats me like a bird or a kitty or else I'd refuse to cooperate. I remember how I climbed trees and considered myself a "wolf that climbs trees". My mom called me a wolf throughout my whole childhood and even now she sometimes refers to me as a wolf

Thunder storms are so comforting. I always imagine being curled on my nest, listening to the sounds of heavy raindrops and watching the flashes of lightning all from inside my den.

the ache i feel of others not viewing me as a sea wolf feels like saltwater in my lungs. it’s not in a “i wish i were a sea wolf” way, it’s in a “i’m a fucking sea wolf but no one sees me as that” way. i wish to be seen. i want people to look at me like i’m rabid, like i’m a feral canine. because that’s what i am.

Why are humans such uninteresting animals? All the other animals have antlers, tails, cool ears, fins, hooves, paws, wings, fangs and so much more! And humans are just plain looking creatures. I would love to have a tail. Like what would be the best treatment? Do you shampoo it? What jewelry would be made? What beauty standards would get created with tails? So many questions but no way to answer 😔🙏

I just want humans to have interesting features because I feel so left out :C

Edit: GUYS, I DON'T NEED Y'ALL'S FUN FACTS ABOUT HUMANS😔🙏 of course I appreciate learning about humans and all of that but this is just a rant about how I want to seem more like other animals :P

I was at a therian meet today! It included stereotypical things you would expect on therian meets like gear and quadrobicks, but we actually did stuff that was more than just public gearing and quads! :0

We talked about our alterhumans experiences and similar stuff! We also had play fights which is kind of quadrobicks but it's much more to me, it's making connections and embracing my animal self :33

The alterhuman community here on Tumblr is so much more welcoming and accepting. I feel much more at home in here as my true self. I'm very glad I moved here because it's so heartwarming to see other people with so many different experiences and no gatekeeping.

But on other platforms I'd say it's much more toxic than here, like gaslighting, gatekeeping and exclusion from your own community.

I'm so thankful for everyone here, I'm at home with y'all :3

I feel like we should normalize more "uncommon" gear in the alterhuman comunity. For example my dream gear is having cat claw nails and permanent fangs. Gear isn´t only paws, ears, masks and tail. Although I do love my tail and it makes me feel euforic and all but I would love to have more unique gear (eventhough it is hard to get for me), or for example gear to resemble avians, ungulates, fish etc. I would love to see more

nobody talks about how certain kin shifts make you want to consume certain media. currently coyote shifted for about a week now and i keep getting urges to consume western/cowboy media and country music. i normally heavily dislike country music. i must be a western coyote. i need flannels and jeans and cowboy hats. i need to be in the canyons. the desert. i need the terracotta under my paws.

which is quite ironic considering i have hardly any bodily heat regulation due to my autism, so i hate hot climates yet my kin craves it.
