Hi, nice to meet you!!
Hii guys!!
My name is EllaMae, Ella for short! I am a 27 year old Dutch Biologist, Crocheter, and an overall fan of the Cosy Life. So I was thinking it could be fun to start a blog and sharing some of my projects, daily adventures and whatever else I might want to write about!

So, a bit more about me!
I'm a Biologist!
So in my daily life, most of the time I'm doing things regarding animals and ecology. One of the most important things in my opinion is caring for our environment and the amazing creatures in all shapes and sizes. Without a healthy environment to live in, we humans cannot live as healthy as we want to. That is why sometimes, my blogs will contain biology and ecology facts that make me very happy!
I LOVE to Crochet!
Next to my love for biology, I have a fierce love for creating things, especially with crocheting! On my Instagram, @cosylife.ella, I like to post my creations! I love to make animal related patterns, but I'm also a true sucker for fantasy related patterns, so I can make little stories about my creations and secretly hide in my own fantasy world and enjoy the whimsical side of crocheting! I also test patterns, both amigurumi and hats (one of my friends makes the BEST HATS!!)! Since the start of 2025, I'm even writing patterns myself, which is such a fun challenge!! I've started making true to species duck patterns, and I have a lot more ideas too!
Cosy living
And lastly, other hobbies of mine are closely connected to the art of cosy living (yes, it do be an art.). I love hiding from daily life and its hardships by crocheting, and also doing cosy games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, and I love to read! I also really want to share this with people, and I hope this blog will help with that!!
