There's a whirlwind of difference between Cockiness & Confidence.

I think a lot of people often confuse the two. However cockiness is a cop-out. Whenever I see a 'cocky' lad on the bus, all I really see is some insecure, little twerp, trying to justify his existence through emulating confidence. Confidence isn't about walking up to someone on the street and getting their phone number, nor is about being the centre of attention. Confidence is the way you handle yourself, in your actions and your decisions, even accepting that sometimes, you don't understand everything. I would rather someone confidently talk to me about collecting stamps for half an hour, look me in the eye with their delivery and passionately speak about the subject, then some little gobshite who has no-idea what he is talking about, pretending he doesn't give a shit. p.s nothing against stamp collecting, it's just not for me.
