Anyone who knows me, know it for a fact that I’m a huge fan of sunsets. I have spent a lot of my time witnessing sunsets from various beaches and mountains. It’s almost am annual ritual for us to visit Kashid and spend some peaceful quality time by the beach and stay at our favourite homestay that serves delicious and spicy homecooked seafood or whatever you demand for. It’s mostly a road trip on our bike running adjacent to the peaceful sealine and lush green meadows.

Revdanda is a small village which is also historical that relates closely to the era of Shivaji, located near Alibaug which has stored the Revdanda fort an old Portuguese fort within. The place is very secluded and is a little difficult to trace with maps too.

It is said that the first Russian traveller to India landed first im Revdanda and was laid here too. It’s famous for the Indianised Jewish community too who have adopted the Indian culture and style of living. The area is flooded with coconut and beetlenut plantations in the region. Revdanda is that magical place that can instantly push you into an euphoric feeling.

I mostly visit it during summers but the best time to visit it is in the monsoons. Some travel communities organize camping, barbecue and bonfire here by the beach. You can also indulge yourself in many water and beach sports by the day, with witnessing the majestic sunset followed by star gazing at night.

The moment we reached the hotel we changed and jumped into the swimming pool and stayed there till the sunset. The pool area is equipped with pool loungers and shaded pool beds.  Apart from the swimming pool there are various activities that you can indulge in like box cricket, football, or play indoor games like pool, table tennis, carom, fuss ball, chess or just relax at the lawn area. You can also sit at the balcony gazing into the sky and rejoicing your drink.

They have an in-house restaurant Ambrosia which is a multi-cuisine restaurant. The restaurant has an indoor and alfresco seating arrangement. The kitchen is separate for vegetarian. The food is really delicious and decently priced. The hotel staff is courteous and prompt. The look and feel of the restaurant is clean and big.
