Alongside of mental health is physical health. Homelessness has a huge affect on this as well. Physical health is so important especially when you're trying to survive in horrible conditions. “Homeless people experience high rates of health problems such as HIV infection, alcohol and drug abuse, mental illness, tuberculosis, and many others (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).”

Psychological affects
Never knowing where you're going to stay, and not having a place to call home can me very depressing and stressful. 61% of homeless adults experience suicidal thoughts. The feeling of worthlessness can cause them to lose hope in seeking help. Self-esteem and confidence starts to diminish. ( Canadian Population Health Initiative).
