TO MELINDA, THIS WAS A DREAM COME TRUE. she was here, working with her aunt prue - gosh, even thinking it made her excited. her aunt, her namesake, was here. and mel was her new protège. she had spent the morning taking even more shots to fill her camera, hoping that prue would like them. showing up to the park, melinda beamed seeing her once again, and shook her hand. “ you have no idea how much i’ve been dreaming of this.” she said, looking up at prue with a look of admiration. “yeah, yeah! uh, here,” she says, taking off her camera from around her neck and handing it over.

prue didn’t consider herself to be much of a teacher, but she would do her absolute best to help out melinda with photography, as it was something she cared about deeply, and was always happy to examine the work of other photographers. as melinda showed up to their agreed upon location, prue offered her a small smile and reached out her hand for melinda to shake. “ hi, it’s nice to see you again, ” she greeted. “ are you ready to get to work ? ”

THE LOOK ON SHAWN’S FACE was one of pure confusion. rocking back and forth on his heels, shawn stuffed his hands inside his pockets. this must have been that dude the girl was talking about. colton? carson? then it hit him, cory. “ look uh, cory, is it?” he asked, scratching the back of his head. this is, the first time we’re ever meeting. and can you drop the shawny thing? it seems weird.”

“mom?” called the young witch in training as she entered the cafe, glancing around for any sign of her favorite parent. she had gotten word from pj that she spotted piper here, and there was no one else melinda would rather see. waving to one of the waitresses, mel went behind the counter, coming into the kitchens. knocking on the wall next to her, she smiled sheepishly. “knock knock.”

topanga glanced up and did a double take at the person she saw in front of her. shawn hunter. she hadn’t thought she’d see him in the woods unless…well, she didn’t know what kind of reasoning she might find him in the woods, but here they stood. “all i get is just a hey? what, saving your good hello for cory?” she asked, only slightly offended. and honestly, if she were really pressed, she wasn’t even actually offended. she knew that cory and shawn were the best of friends and that that friendship pretty much came first. 

LOOKING AT THE WOMAN in front of him, shawn couldn’t deny that she was pretty, beautiful even, but there was something about her that told him she was just a friend. “well uh, hello.” he simply responded, while the only thing that filled his thoughts was: who’s cory? a boyfriend? if so, that made sense with the way she spoke his name. “quick question, uh, who’s cory?”

RANSOM WAS PISSED OFF - of course he was, because.. why shouldn’t he? he had been placed somewhere there was no way to get out off and.. he didn’t like it, not one bit. he was stuck, with absolutely no way of getting out of there and that had left him even more annoyed than usual.. which, of course, everyone else was going to pay for. they were annoyances, in his path and… he wouldn’t have to deal with them. especially not before he had his morning coffee, of course. still, as he was exiting the coffee shop that day, he was looking down at his phone, checking a few texts from his company, as he accidentally bumped into someone. well.. it was their fault, not his, of course. “how about you watch where you’re going next time? MAYBE SPARE US BOTH THE TROUBLE OF HAVING TO GO THROUGH THIS?” and of course, there was no way in hell he’d admit it had been him.

SOPHIE PIPER WAS EXHAUSTED - and why wouldn’t she be? she had a long as hell shift at the occult shop today - someone even came in with an actual black cat - and she had a test on deceptive behaviors in four hours. a test that she still hadn’t studied for. so, safe to say, sophie was not up for a confrontation. she was on her way to the apartments to cram study for the test, when a jerk bumped into her. feebly, sophie mumbled a small, “sorry.” she thought that was over and done with, easy. but then he had the audacity to blame her for it? “why don’t you get your head out of your phone and pay attention? the world doesn’t revolve around you.”

eleven had woken up at the crack of dawn today, and the first thing she noticed, was that everything was weird. this wasn’t hawkins, and her friends weren’t here.. she was alone, again. so, she decided to go out on her own, see if she could find her friends.  that was when she saw a diner, and the one thing diners always had, was waffles.   currently, el was sitting in a booth at the back of the local diner, a giant plate of waffles in front of her. she needed to eat, then she’d find her friends. seeing someone approach the table, el quickly put her arms around the waffles, almost as if she was guarding them.  “mine.” was all she said, before gesturing to the seat across from her. “but, you can sit, if you want.”

Luke was dodging past people, still not used not being able to teleport to where he wanted to go, even though he should’ve been used to dodging around people when he was alive the first time. Hazel hues were more focused on tapping out a beat to a new song, and writing down some lyrics that once he found the rest of the band, he’ll be able to share the songs with them. And him not paying attention led him into running right into someone, which in turn caused him to drop his songbook. “I’m so sorry for running into you, I wasn’t paying attention. I have song lyrics stuck in my head, and I needed to write them down before I forgot.” The brunette apologized as he bent down to grab his book from the floor, before he was looking at who he was talking with. A slight smile crossed his lips when he saw the familiar face of one of his best friends. “Actually, I’m glad that I ran into you! Where’s the others? I haven’t seen them yet.”

julie was on their way to their apartment after staying five hours after school prepping for the fall concert. everything had to be perfect, and if it wasn’t, they’d probably curl up into a ball and cry themselves to sleep. they had been promising so much, and they wanted to make sure this was as good as it could possibly be.  julie was going over the songlist and harmony’s in their head, when someone bumped into them. watching as he got up, julie shook their head as he apologize. “oh, no, no. it’s all my fault. i was distracted, trying to get stuff ready for classes,” they ramble, before stopping just before the other speaks. as he speaks, their face twists into one of confusion. who was this guy? “i... uh, i think, i think you have me mixed up with someone else. “

topanga loved exploring places. it was her favorite thing. so when she was put in this place, that was totally unfamiliar to her, it was no wonder she spent a lot of free time wandering the wooded areas and simply looking around. she liked to know where things were and what nature had to offer around her. but often, she didn’t come across other people out there. sometimes, she did. “hi there.” she said when she saw another person, hoping they were just like her and out for a walk to explore nature. or at least something like that. “nice day, isn’t it?” she smiled, looking around. 

usually shawn wasn’t one for nature, but mystic falls was just beautiful. what, with it’s lush green forests, and the calm it brought him? there was no way shawn was going to miss sharing this with someone else. so, he brought his camera. setting up for a shot, shawn heard someone speak, and slowly let go of his camera, letting it fall back down onto his chest. “hey.” he said to the woman who had spoken, giving her a slight nod of his head.  “yeah, it is nice. i was just hoping to capture this natural glory before something ruins it.”

         of course, food was very important, and his stuff was starting to get a bit empty. so, fred had gone out to the grocery store to pick stuff up, as he does. only problem is the fact that e doesn’t actually really have anything… well, sustainable, to say the least. they isn’t really much actual meals. “i know what you’re thinking,” he says, a bit defeated almost. “but, i don’t really do much cooking. my friends did the cooking and well… i’m not really sure where they are or if it was just i who somehow made it to mystic falls.” 

when it came to cooking, julie seemed to be in the dark. growing up, their mom used to do all of the cooking, and when she died, julie and their dad turned to leftovers, much to the extended family’s dismay. currently, they were shopping for ingredients to make a simple dish of pan fried lamb chops with a side of rice. yes, they had been binge watching the food network, and yes, julie knew they were going to fail spectacularly. seeing someone else looking almost as clueless as they were, julie looked over. “oh, i totally get that. i can’t cook to save my life. my dad almost burned the house down once, so now it’s up to me to do all the cooking. and, as you can see, it’s not off to the best of starts.”
