- candlestick was a rock that peck "adopted" when she was little and is very attached to it due to trauma from the phantoms. it's been colored and painted on many times over

- nova was the first of the all the dragons that liza adopts off the streets

- greely dresses orpheus up to look like him and treats it more like an equal than a pet

- ulysses was given to sir gilbert as a gift from mira and zios

- ozzie is a random bird that lived around cosmos garden that got hurt one day and cosmo nursed back to health. he let them go when they were fit to fly again, but they ended up sticking around

- graham found sprocket in the water in the lower part of of his observatory. he adopted them and now sprocket has their own pair of little goggles and fetches small tools and such for graham whens he's building something

im just a huge sucker for charismatic villains becoming sort of pseudo good guys and hanging out with the main characters just because a bigger, more serious threat emerges and i dont think it happens enough tbh. especially when they’re still kind of a dick, i just think its a fun trope
